Tsurugi

Tsurugi

D-rank
Mission:

The small bot rocked side to side on the river which it traveled, the current was the main source carrying this small boat across its reflective surface, high above the sky piercing through the split clouds was the ominous glow of the crescent moon. With hands at either side he stood at the center of the boat, his golden eyes fixed on the forward path that would eventually produce the area where he was to park this boat, using a large paddle he would guide the boat to the left in a subtle fashion pushing it towards its intended target. Once the boat had hit the land it stuck into the ground allowing him to hop off, looking back at the boat he made sure it was not going to float away. With that the male found himself now wandering further into the wilderness which surrounded him, he needed to make his way to the pre-determined coordinates that would lead him to the entrance of the cave which held the items he was supposed to find. Pushing his way through the bushes, and branches that occasionally found themselves obstructing his path he would continue to push forward until he finally emerged from the wilderness, only to find himself staring own the mouth of the mine that he was to explore.

“Heh” was all he could say at the sight of the mine, it did indeed have a haunted air to it a very creepy atmosphere if you will but even then Tsurugi found himself undeterred by just a thing, the tales of the undead haunting this mine did little to sway him from his path. Closing his eyes for a moment the male with the blue hair would march straight into the abyss of this mine, instantly the darkness enveloped him taking hold of the intruder which ventured into an unknown land. Golden eyes would widen for a second as he heard a deep moan echoing from deep within the tunnel of the mine, his body would stiffen just a bit as he looked over at the thought of a specter perhaps attacking him. It was more a sense of excitement than fear, a nervous grin would spread across his features how would he stop such a creature? Shaking away the thoughts he continued to venture deeper into this unknown, the light here was none existent the male found himself using the walls as a way to guide himself, despite the dangers that could await at any corner he knew he had to push on.

Not long after he would feel something familiar on the wall, a relieved sigh would escape him as his hands pulled said tool from the wall it was a torch, he was unsure as to how well this thing would work but it was worth a shot. It would take a few tries but eventually striking the flint with the steel, the produced sparks would seem to catch a flame on the torch a smile would appear on his features as he picked up the torch that now gave off a warm glow lighting up his surroundings. It was amazing how easily fire was able to push away the darkness, already showing him much more than what he could see before, with this he pushed onward with even more confidence, knowing he would soon find his prize. Turning a few careful corners, and walking down some dark tunnels that smells of moist rocks, he found himself wondering just how difficult this mission could be, it seemed easy so far for him.

Yet, this seemingly normal mission would soon take a turn for the interesting, it all happened so quickly he stepped into a large opening in the mine eyes looked up only to be welcomed by darkness, a blur past him causing his flame to be blown out. For the briefest of seconds golden eyes widened, not because of the darkness that enveloped him but because of the sight that was unfolding in front of him. There just a mere few feet from where he stood he saw two specters, bright white humans having an argument, seemingly angered at one another one turned away from the first as if to walk away only to find himself struck in the back of the head with a pickaxe. The specter would stumble forward the pickaxe stuck to his head, his body contorting, and twisting only to fade before it even touched the ground, turning his attention to the assailant Tsurugi was surprised to find the specter staring right at him. His grip around the torch tightened, as is eyes narrowed how would he stop an attack from such a monster? How could he even hit it? Yet, the specter took no hostile action instead he raised a hand with the finger outstretched pointing off to the distance, the mouth moved but no sound came from it, reaching up grabbing hold of its own head the specter would squeeze its hands into its eyes. With its head jerking back, Tsurugi watched with interest as the specter seemed to force its fingers into its own eyes once they were there it pulled its fingers form tis face staring at Tsurugi with a pair of deep dark sockets! A wide smile on its face, the specter would contort itself before vanishing in a subtle fade…

With that the flame would reignite itself, Tsurugi would remain silent his own twisted mind unaffected by what he had just seen instead he chuckled “Oh how entertaining” he would say in a smooth tone, with that he turned in the direction which the specter had pointed. “Now now…wasn’t be a helpful little ghoul” he would whisper to himself, watching a narrow path that he would have normally missed walking towards it Tsurugi would squeeze into the path, scooting himself down the narrow path until he found himself popping out on the other side. There his torch would shine a light on the item which he was here to find, the raw materials that where abandoned here, kneeling down he eyed them all, after placing the torch in the wall again he walked forward gathering all the materials he could. Tossing them all into the bag which was located there with the items, once the bag was full he guesstimated the weight before tossing it over his shoulder. Now one hand held the items, and the other the torch turning away Tsurugi would squeeze through the tunnel again, making his way out only to find himself wandering down the path which would lead him back.

As he walked away he heard it a chuckle echoing down the deep tunnel, causing him to stop, a smirk forming on his features almost as if it was meant for him he would chuckle as well his own chuckle echoing down the tunnel, as if to respond to the specter that was following him out….
