Mission details: “The ninja will travel to the border of kiri territory, and place a small stone upon a pre marked location. Though, as they travel they will encounter several unaligned ninja (2-3), each of genin rank and skilled in taijutsu (C rank), and each possessing all academy jutsu.
~Recieves one Chakra imbued rock with Kiri’s sigil for the mission.
"Take this stone to the far east of the village, where you will find a small path approximately 3 kilometres away. Make sure the area is safe from large groups of bandits or any form of aggression, and if you only find two or three, take them out. Once you've secured the area, place the stone at the correct location.
The stone was smooth, unnaturally unblemished, free from the rough scratches that any other rock. Its flat side had Kirigakure's sigil inscribed on it - likely with chakra, seeing as the symbol was drawn on perfectly into the stone without flaw. It was small enough to hold in one hand, fitting perfectly within her palm, the coolness of it rather comforting as she closed her fingers around it. She nodded to the receptionist that had given her the quick debrief of the mission, showing that she understood what was expected of it. It wouldn't be too hard, the distance was troublesome, but with her ice technique, she should get there in half the time that was expected. It was just the possibility of encountering rogue ninja that was a tad concerning, but if they labelled this as a C rank mission, then she should be able to handle it. It was about time she ranked up to Special Jounin, and she was determined to take on any tasks that would help speed up that process, eager to jump up yet another rank. It hadn't been long since her promotion to chuunin, but with the number of missions she had been doing, it was clear it wouldn't be long now. At least … she hoped not. It felt like everyone else was advancing at an incredible rate, many of the Bukijutsu users all eager to prove themselves and take whatever remained of the Seven Swords.
She had begun travelling by now, each step with an extra gliding effect against the ice path that she had created for herself, her movements fluid and relaxed as she headed out of the village. The amount of odd stares had decreased now as everyone got used to seeing her "skating" in midair, something she found rather amusing, Even among the Aisu clan members, it looked as though this was becoming somewhat of a signature move for herself. Knowing that it would be a while before she reached her destination, she let her mind wander. The Seven Swords … they're causing quite the fuss. She herself wasn't particularly interested in the swords, but she understood the hype surrounded them. To be a member of the Seven Swords of Kirigakure was a great honour. But for Keiko herself, with a lack of skill and interest towards Bukijutsu - or weapons in general, for that matter - it didn't really mean much.
Before long, she was weaving through the trees and headed towards the specified location. Her travel thus far had been relatively uneventful, but as she neared the path, movement caught her eye. Slowing down so that she was just hovering in the air to avoid detection, she let herself inch forward ever so slightly, taking in the two men that seemed to have stationed themselves right on the path. From what she could see, they didn't possess any weapons, and both were relatively well-built in terms of muscle mass. Seeing as the very location they had chosen was an open clearing, they were probably looking for a head on, close combat. Not that she was actually going to give them what they wanted. Her wind blade technique came first, the rustle of leaves as they were disturbed by the concentrated fuuton chakra in her hand alerting them of her presence, but not fast enough as she swung her hand, the blade catching one of the ronin directly and sending him flying into a tree, crashing into the trunk and slumping forward, unconscious. Turning back to where the other ronin had been standing, her eyes widened as she realized he was no longer there.
Shit, what … A weight on her ice alerted her that something heavy was now on the ice with her, and she whipped around to see that the other ronin had scaled a tree and jumped from a branch onto her ice, slowly advancing towards her. Ha. If you think you can use my ice for yourself … you're wrong. She thought in her head, momentarily letting the ice simply disappear. The surprised look on the ronin's face made her smirk as they both fell, but just before hitting the ground, she reactivated her ice, catching only herself as the ronin landed rather heavily on the ground. He had managed to twist himself so that he landed on his feet, but it appeared as though he had at least sprained an ankle. Not giving him time to recover, she began expelling water from her mouth, the chakra-infused water spewing out in a great quantity, enveloping the ronin in the floating globe of water, hovering at her height. Immediately placing a hand on the sphere to keep it in place, she watched coldly as the man flailed about, tiring himself out even more and decreasing the oxygen supply in his lungs. Keeping this technique active meant leaving herself vulnerable to attacks, but a quick glance around her surroundings reassured her that there were no other ronin, and that the other one was still unconscious, bleeding from where her wind blade had hit him.
It didn't take long for the ronin inside her water prison to go unconscious, and the moment she confirmed that he was no longer awake, she released the technique, not really wanting to kill him. Though … if the water wasn't removed from his lungs soon, he most likely would die. But that was no longer her concern. She had been told that there would be a small patrol with goods already heading down the path she was to secure. She just had to place the stone down and wait for reinforcements. Leaving the two ronin sprawled on the ground, she wandered several meters forward before placing down the stone, thus completing her mission.
