Supply Lines:

Ren did not know what to do as the wind blew mercilessly through his hair. He brushed the hair in front of his eyes to the side as looked up at the sky. He was given a mission, mission after mission, as he was wondering if there was more to life than an endless mission. He read through his mission a bit sad, that he will have to do this mission on his own. He also opened a parcel which contained the sigil which he pocketed. He began walking towards the borders of his village, slowly taking his time as he drank some water.

Today was a hot day, as he wiped his forehead. He expected to be sweating but he was not. He began traveling as birds flew passed him. Some people looked at him as a child ran to him and asked if he wanted to play. As he looked to them he said, "Shinobi of the mist do not play games". The child looked at him then said, "That is silly, everyone plays games". Ren ignored her as he passed her by, she called out for him to wait. He could not be a child anymore. He had to grow up and learn to focus only on his goal.

Having walked from the village for close to five hours, he noticed the sound of footsteps matching his pace. He looked back and the child was there with two others. The little girl laughed as she revealed that she was not some child. She undid her transformation technique as her two companions went to either side of him. He looked to her as she was a beautiful woman with black hair. She grinned before cracking her knuckles hard. "Silly boy, you planning to let those fools enter our village? This is the bloody mist not some runt's playground. Jin and Ran get him!"

The two guys came from both sides of Ren, he did not want to be the same as he was before. Closing his eyes for a moment as he threw his sword into the air. The guy on the right launched a punch directly for Ren's cheek while the guy to his left launched a sweeping kick to his leg. They looked like they connected, however in that instant they just noticed his sword. realising they were in trouble the one brother backed away as Ren landed on the other guys head with the palm of his hand. "Raiton Kangekiha!" as he shocked the man directly to his head causing him to lose consciousness as he collapsed as the woman frowned as the other guy was sweating. " Is that all you got? Is this a mission or are you playing games with me?" The woman gave a serious look at him as she brought her fists up to her face. "Looks like i will have to take you seriously". Meanwhile the other guy who escaped being hit was still panicking as Ren then grabbed his sword. The guy was too careless as Ren dashed then launched his technique Mizukiri managing to cut a two inch deep scar on the mans chest as he screamed. It was not near deep enough to kill, but Ren was not that kind. As he swung for the guys head, the guy ducked on instinct. Ren then knocked the back of the man's head with his sword then faced his sword to the woman. He checked his pockets to make certain he protected the sigil.

"You still want to do this?" As the woman looked at him wondering whether she should continue. She carefully approached him as he watched her. He dashed towards her as she dashed as well. He slashed upwards as she managed to take the blow with a replacement. She was now at his side as she punched full force towards his face. He ducked under her punch only to be met with a knee to the face. His nose broke as blood flew through the air, he was dazed this was her chance grabbed his wrist and twisted slightly to disarm him.

All he could see was a blur as he struggled to regain his balance. The woman took his sword then slashed towards him. For a moment he wondered why was he so careless as he managed back step away from the slash. The woman noticed she was wide open as Ren dashed towards her falling, as she dropped his sword launching a sledgehammer like punch to counter. There was no time for error, this would decide whether he lives or dies. This would be that which would lead to a path.

There were only two paths. Duck under and run clinging to life like some coward. As a coward he could live a long life always fighting from the shadows. The other option was to break the barriers that bind him. Why hold back when your life is on the line, why run away when victory is right in front of you. He blocked her punch with both arms as he was hammered into the ground beneath her.

She focused her chakra as she punched towards the ground as he blocked. He screamed in slight pain, as she repeatedly hit his arms as they blocked her blows. His arms were bruising as he waited patiently looking at her carefully.

She paused for a moment to catch her breath as Ren grabbed her leg. He shocked her with his Hiraishin technique. She struggled on as she still was punching one last time towards him, he countered her as he blocked with his sword as her fist was cut two inches between the knuckles. She screamed as Ren cut her ankle with his sword, she fell in pain as he then stood before her.

Ren then said "I may not let you live". She began to smile at him then said. "This is the bloody mist, there is nothing for us but blood and death" He looked at her then spoke.
"You wanted blood that is why you found it, you wanted death and that is why I am going to kill you". He thrust the blade in her neck slowly as she coughed up blood. She laughed but then flinched in pain. The guys who were with her began to wake up seeing her dying they ran towards him with their injuries.

They were no match for him in their current state. As they ran at him he cut both of them down. He felt that they wanted to be freed. The time of war was still etched deeply into everyone. As he closed their eyes laying all three of them to rest. He would leave a report later on what happened as he continued walking his arms sore and his nose bleeding. He reached his destination as he shed a single tear, placing the sigil in the location. His mission had come to an end, but he now knew he had no choice but to bring it to an end.
