Dameon
D-rank
He needed time to clear his head. The walls of the village seemed to be slowly suffocating his thoughts with all the fighting that had been going on. Calm had come for the moment and he needed it to sort out his emotions. It was something he never thought he would have to do in a million years. Being around people was beginning to become repulsive after having opened up to someone with his life story, only to see them abandon him like everyone else had. He wondered if the village actually gave a damn about their shinobi and residents or if they were simply tools meant to pave the way for the Kages vision of a perfect city. He didn’t mind fighting to protect those around him. What made him wonder about himself was the fact he genuinely didn’t care about dying. It was as if something in his mind had been severed during his youth. It didn’t feel normal and he had nobody to confide in about any of it. He didn’t want to risk losing the few friends he seemed to have made.
Dameon found himself away from the village by the great lake. The moon reflecting off the surface of the lake granting light to the otherwise dark forest that surrounded it. He had been so alone for so long he never thought he would need a moment to get away from it all. So he sat there next to the water leaning back to look up at the night sky. He didn’t know what was happening to him and the lack of knowledge was frustrating. He was once a blank slate of emotion with only the haunting memories of his childhood. He was avoided by everyone and he felt like he deserved it in some manner. Now after having met a couple people that had talked with him, even trained with him, things felt different. He felt like he cared for them in some ways, imagining losing them made him sad, and being with them made him feel happy. Still the fear of running them off or them abandoning him dwelled in his heart and kept him from changing.
Perhaps he was still being molded. That blank slate more like a pile of wet clay and with every interaction changed the outcome of the final product. Most people by his age if not sooner had completely developed their personalities and emotions and it made Dameon a little envious. He knew in his heart he wanted to stop feeling the way he felt and move on with his life. He wanted to become a great shinobi like he had set out to do and not be alone his whole life. He sighed a bit as he looked ahead watching the still water sit there like a mirror into another world. So why if he didn’t want to be alone was he out there alone? Even Penpen his pet penguin was sitting in the dump of a room he called home. He grabbed the bandages that were around his arm and pulled them off. They were covered in blood but the holes that had been made in a previous fight had now completely headed. He tossed them aside and laid down on his back to stare at the sky again.
