1 The Clan Mitetoru (Doujutsu) Mon Dec 23, 2013 9:16 am

D-rank
Symbol:
Clan: Mitetoru (meaning to understand, comprehend, to grasp (the situation,) to percieve in Japanese.)
Kekkei Genkai: The clan combines their bloodline ability with a series of their personally relevant philosophical adoptions to create その 歩き方 哲人 "The Philosopher Gait/Sage's Walk."
The clan's KKG is evident in their eyes, but a coincident component of this mutation is modified mental faculties. These modifications allow for the subconscious intimations to flood over into the conscious mind, and multiple trains of thought to be followed simultaneously. The clan is full of philosophers and occultists (meaning religious people in addition to supernatural occultism,) for this reason. Truly it cannot be said with any measure of 'sureness' whether the developed mental faculties are a result, or cause of the Clan's doujutsu, though most members themselves have speculated the Shingan is causation for half of their KKG, and the Musōgan is a symptomatic manifestation of their KKG.
If one were to take an eye and implant it into a non-clan member, it would plague the implantee's mind with thoughts and feelings they didn't know they were A) aware of, and B) thinking/concerned about. Its kinda like the venom suit from spiderman, metaphorically. It wouldn't be too much to expect them to feel drained, and depressed, even tired and angry, or to lose it altogether provided their thoughts are oppressive enough (I.E. bad person who did bad things, or someone who suffered through something like torture.) This effects their chakra pool via the -25 signifying their brain's use of a significant part of their body's energy (like the brain in real life consumes a massively disproportionate ratio of the energy your body creates, except magnified in scope.) In addition to this their chakra is effected by having a precise balance (symbolic of their mental state being balanced between pos n neg energy, or yin & yang etc) i.e. They do not lose their mind forever etc, and is analagous to an immune system for them, their chakra is forced into this state by the kkg, and much like the immune system the body may react with adversity to the elimination of these imbalances, in example being healed by medical jutsu.
From Left to Right, the three forms the Doujutsu takes.
From Left to Right, the three forms the Doujutsu takes.
- Left:
- Left:/Shingan 心眼 (Mind's/Heart's eye for Movement/Stillness:)
The eye opposite the users dominant hand will look like the picture does. This Doujutsu grants more precise bodily control and a stronger sense of the subconscious awareness creating a feeling of "flowing intuition", perfect for Tai, Buki and Kugujutsus, while also being useful for things such as Med Jutsu, kunai throwing, aiming of any sort, calculating where objects will go/land when thrown or falling etc, and even hanging pictures and drawing straight lines.
- Middle:
- Middle:/Danketsugan 団結眼 (Unity eye, primary and most common name:)
The Doujutsu does not take the form of a yin yang, this is a symbolic representation of the fully formed KKG.
The bloodline members eyes (when the Doujutsu is not active) are usually either:
-Each a different color and all colors in the visible spectrum have been known to surface.
-They have been known to have spots of white in one, or both of their pupils, white iris', and some have even been born with the whites of their eyes black, among other colors. None have ever been born with multi-colored eyes and the black and white eye defects simultaneously. It has historically been one or the other. I.E. a red and blue eye, OR normal colored eyes with any white/black combo.
-The first, and most common mutation is a white pupil with a black center, and a black pupil with a white center, one in each eye.
-The Doujutsu is called Danketsugan when: referring to the Doujutsu in general, and when referring to the fully activated level (3/4.)
- Right:
- Right:/Musōgan 夢想眼 (Dream/Reverie eye for Building/Storing:)
This takes form on the side of the users dominant hand when activated, the whole eye will appear like either the left or right side of the one in the above picture. Should it be the left eye the entire eye will appear like the left half of the picture. If they are right handed the entire right eye will appear as the right half of the picture does.

Clan History:
- Spoiler:
- It is generally accepted that the clan shares ancestral relatives with the other clans famed for their Doujutsu, though not factually confirmed. The Mitetoru, much less well-known presently, had fell into obscurity shortly after their mutations developed.
Originally, the clan members' mutation manifested somewhat differently for each one, making it seem as if the clan's bloodline itself was somehow afflicted with some sort of curse, or virus. Some were even accused of inbreeding, something considered highly taboo by almost all within the clan. Within one generation, the clan was brought into utter turmoil..
Many of the members afflicted by some debilitating mental illness.. hard pressed to find it in themselves to sleep, becoming reclusive, paranoid, irritable, and overly-sensitive.
Between eighteen to twenty years after the first effects had been noticed in the new generation of children, (mismatched eye colors, mental health issues, in the worst cases crescendoing into paranoid delusions,) nearly all the clansmen who could be considered reputable and respected within society had made a joint decision to formally ostracize those deemed irrecoverable. They were sent to the most remote regions where clan members had homes and complexes to proliferate their future kin in relative peace, finding that the peaceful surroundings, and lack of social stimuli did wonders as far as quieting their delusions. They found themselves happiest when performing farm and house work, keeping themselves busy became tantamount to coping. The clan members' natural inclination as humans to rise with the sun was offset as they worked until near-exhaustion day-in and day-out, often sleeping hours after the sun rose.
Any passerby who happened to take interest in the well-kept clan homes and out-of-the-way residences were treated with hostility and suspicion. The clansfolk eventually grew weary in the decade to come, finding themselves unfulfilled and painfully aware that the world outside would continue to pass them by. They sought to find their way in the world, though they had an innate defensiveness when dealing with the outside world, (which would eventually culminate into a form of shrewdness...)
Conversely the would-be benefactors who had essentially shunned half their kin for fear the little bit of worth they had ascribed their family name would be turned into a far-reaching red-flag, and thought it better to keep the blemish on their unremarkable family history from the light of prying eyes and far from the reaches of inquisitive minds. They did not consider themselves ruthless, however and the plan that came to surface was a "rearrangement" of sorts. All those who could not cope with the symptoms were deemed beyond recovery and sent to the most remote clan homes and complexes, and those from the countryside and wilderness areas were moved into the big cities and the outskirts surrounding them. Some, unable to bear being separated from their adolescent children and grandchildren went along as well. Some were in arranged marriages to some of the ill clansmen, and thus had to go along as well. Some went, or stayed in the stead of parents, who had given up on their children. The upper-class portion of the clan saw this as something of a sacrifice on their end, and in a materialistic sense, it was. They were giving up many of their most lucrative farms and textile mills, mines, and smithys. In all seriousness, the clan itself had little to offer, so the trade-off was relatively damaging, though they had relocated their more well-off portion of the clan to the Land of Lightning’s southern coast, just west of the Land of Frost, and fell in with the upper-middle class well enough.
By this time the afflicted generation was starting to seek stability and some sought mates.. The majority of those who had been deemed well enough to recover, and had been taken along in the relocation had each developed into unusually attractive individuals, both personality-wise, and physically. The men and women were both generally taller, with more youthful and pleasing features, almost otherworldly, with clear skin, and even attractive voices. What’s more is nearly all of those taken to the Land of Lightning either showed no eye symptoms, or had differently colored eyes, ( i.e. a blue and green, a lavender and light brown eye.) This only added to the unheard of clan’s mystique. The few who had exhibited black and white coloration in their eyes, while still being attractive were not given anywhere near the same amount of attention as the others. The elders of the clan had taken as much credit and praise as they could for these traits claiming ridiculous, and far-fetched things, going so far as claiming demi-gods procreating with distant ancestors, etc.
The afflicted eventually removed themselves from social settings, or made themselves scarce, instead preferring, like their estranged kin, to busy themselves. Some sought out meaning in their life, and answers to the questions they would constantly deliberate, most held incredulous sentiments towards strangers, when they spoke among themselves they were amazed that strangers could go about their daily lives seeming almost empty minded, and generally unconcerned beyond what was directly before them. Some turned towards religion in attempts to reconcile the differences between the extreme aspects of their unique minds, bodies, and souls. Those who did not, eventually turned to all types of athletic undertakings, hunting and horseback riding, swordsmanship, and martial arts training. The athletic, and spiritual ones alike had become somewhat aloof, and laconic, always speaking in somewhat vague and thought provoking dialects. The religious clansmen had found some measure of peace in helping others, the athletes found peace in the meaningful distraction provided by having a goal in mind, and striving to achieve it.
The afflicted who had been left behind, or relocated unwillingly had fell into a pattern of superstition, and had a habit of creating their own folk-tales and explanations for things they did not understand. They essentially created their own personal religions, many of which had similarities to those in the world at large, unbeknownst to them. They became somewhat lost in their imaginations and were prone to flights of fancy, some became somewhat whimsical and manic, others became shrewd and reserved, and still there were those who lived almost in a peaceful coexistence alongside their fractured psyches and one specifically who persevered seeing reality as it was, and reality as they perceived it as both equally valid and nominal simultaneously.
There was a clan home, where he lived, one of the largest and most far out. It was here where the first meaningful contact the afflicted who had been relocated unwillingly would be put on an auspicious path.. It was south-east of the hidden village of leaf in the Land of Fire in dense, and verdant forests some 20-50 miles away from the coastal regions. Shinobi from the hidden village of mist traveling in the pre-dawn hours happened upon the farm which was lively with action at such late hours of the early morning. Peculiar as it was they had almost continued moving until one of the clansmen called out to them with feverish urgency his arms filled with various bags. The shinobi, sensing him to be no immediate threat eyed him curiously before making a nonverbal agreement amongst the three of them to see what he wanted¸ waiting a few moments for him to approach them at breakneck speed and try to speak and catch his breath at the same time. He offered the bags out to them exclaiming that it was imperative they take them in return for continuing to provide rain. The shinobi were confused, though these particular shinobi were not above taking what they found out was home-grown food, and various trinkets the previous inhabitants of the farm had left behind. Upon returning to the mist village and reporting to their superiors, they were questioned in passing about the ring their squad leader was wearing, likely thinking on his feet he simply told the truth, at least as far as it mattered, it had been given to him by a civilian. His superior made an expression somewhere in-between curiosity and dismissiveness stating that another squad that had come back through a similar route had also returned with something similar, warning the squad leader that if he payed for it, it could be nothing more than a forgery, worth nothing.
Eventually word spread through the seedier members of the mist village’s ranks about the night farm a short ways off the regular route they might take back home to the port from various missions. The shinobi would visit the farm and be treated to free food, many of the clanswomen were willing to engage in carnal activities with the male shinobi, and the men who stood around (not fearing, or being suspicious of the shinobi) would revere them, and their amazing abilities. They could seemingly appear and disappear at will, and perform amazing feats, creating objects off the surfaces of scrolls, the ground and even summon the elements at will. Some of the more imaginative afflicted had dubbed them supernatural, not knowing much of the outside world. Eventually they came to recognize one as the figurehead for the farm, an afflicted with his whole right eye white, and his left eye mostly normal, and black, with a white pupil. He claimed his name was Yang, and that the farm was his, and his families. Rarely would he state more beyond that and in the year to come he just seemed to sit there, and watch everyone, nodding encouragingly whenever a visiting shinobi would make eye contact with him, but never really smiling. In some odd twist of fate, instead of going according to Yang’s (who like the other afflicted, was an attractive person) plan of waiting for one of the shinobi to give the clanswomen a child, he instead impregnated one of the mist shinobi.. She elected to keep the child secret from Yang, though he was well aware that it was no small likelihood.
The boy became the first of the new generation from those afflicted who had been relocated and shunned. He did well in his academy, finding he had white pupils, and an aptitude for Nin, and Genjutsu, his mother did not keep his father’s origins a secret from him, promising to take him to see his father eventually. Yang was now in his late 30’s and the boy was a chuunin likely about 16 if not younger with a maturity that did not match his age. The state of Yang’s farm at the time of his visit was very odd.. it was still remote yet it was frequented by shinobi on something of a bi-weekly basis, though it was not much to be proud of considering their reasons for frequenting it, and the farm wasn’t in prime form any more yielding much less than it had in its previous years. The young chuunin met Yang, who at this point was missing his left eye, only possessing his all-white right. The boy had come to the Clan Farm with intents to force his father to either step down, or bring it back into shape, knowing mostly unflattering rumors he'd overheard from the less reputable seniors.
Upon meeting his son, Yang revealed to him the reason for allowing the shinobi to come and go as they pleased. He sought information about the kin who had voluntarily forsaken them for their own benefit. The shinobi were more than happy to impress the impressionable clansfolk with their fantastic stories, Yang waited years for any mention of people with odd colored eyes to no avail, however he had discovered something arguably more worthwhile.. After being attacked by shinobi from the hidden mist village who sought to commandeer the farm, some of the other patrons rushed to his aid, suddenly sobered by the realization that this farm was defenseless, the shinobi took their unruly fellows back to the hidden mist promising Yang out of the beneficence of their own heart that they wouldn't allow them to return, and decided amongst themselves to teach him a few ways to defend himself. He lost his left eye in the attack and had a few fractured ribs both of which stubbornly refused to yield to the medical jutsu taking much longer than would have been expected to cauterize, set, and heal. They knew they didn't have the time to teach him taijutsu, bukijitsu, or ninjutsu as they had to return home, and trying to whip him into shape for the training, though they attempted to teach him ninjutsu he lacked the developed chakra system, instead they decided the most useful thing he could learn was genjutsu as he did seem to grasp chakra control relatively well, they taught him in small doses as they visited more regularly over the course of a couple years he had become somewhat proficient in the art of illusion. He eventually dreamed of using his 'amazing ability' to help his fellow clansmen. There were those who believed the shinobi to be demigods still, they had developed monastic attitudes, and taken to calling the farm Yang Temple.. There were those who still lived in the grips of paranoia and resentment at imaginary remarks and slights, and still none of the women had been impregnated (Yang had now given up on that hope, and assumed some form if contraception had been being used from the beginning.) Yang would place his fellow clansmen under the effects of his genjutsu during fits of religious fervor, or panic attacks, eventually treating his fellows with illusionsry impressions and sentiments they thought were their own, seeking to guide them towards the path that he himself had found towards some semblance of sanity.
As intelligent as he was he could not figure out why some of them would react with adversity to his genjutsu instead of acceptance, perhaps they somehow knew it to be coming from something outside of themselves? Regardless, he had to try. He mentally kept tabs and inventory on all the resistant clansfolk and monitored those who seemed to be more at peace and less violently extroverted comparing and contrasting their actions and words with their body language and perceived emotional state. He continued to concentrate his mental assets on figuring out what would be most effective in "treating" his fellows, eventually coming to the conclusion that only more powerful illusions would treat them, as they seemed to sense something was out of place. He tried more direct and attention capturing ways of engaging the illusions, eventually finding himself engaging them directly frankly about his desire to aid them to be most effective, they would voluntarily undergo "visions." He told them stories about the shinobi training him to access some inner world, some mental plane where they could combat their fears without collateral damage being necessary. He would place them under genjutsu and implore them to maintain direct eye contact with his remaining eye. Their deliberate willingness and cooperation made the genjutsu exponentially more effective, and he took them mentally on journeys specifically catered to each of their fears and angsts, discovered through a confession-style preliminary session during the day followed by then genjutsu "ritual" in the now "auspicious" pre dawn hours, as they had come to know the sunrise as the herald of their rest, and metaphorically salvation.
Unbeknownst to him he was relying on the power of the Musogan though at what point it became active is unclear, it was evident when the clansfolk who had undergone his "therapy" began to adopt a black and white circular pattern as a symbol of protection putting it on their doors and covering the original Mitetoru clan symbol of a rising sun with it. He asked them where they had seen it and why it held significance and they all corroborated the same story, it was the entrance to the "mental plane" or "spirit world," manifested through his eye. Some even saw it as the sun or moon which served to guide them with it's light during their trials. Confused and moderately troubled he acted as if he were surprised they could see it as well as him, inadvertently filling their heads with the seeds of grandeur. That was the cause of them adopting the title of Yang's Temple to the glorified farm turned cathouse, and inn. They saw their contributions to the shinobi as some form of beneficence to those who had brought them peace indirectly and took to referring to Yang as the chief monk, always attributing his confusion to their words and refusal to follow doctrines as motivated by a deeper insight, and understanding than their own and sought to emulate him and his presupposed wisdom.
He eventually taught them to place themselves under genjutsu in an odd form of "dreaming" they unconsciously directed their own journey and their brain reacted in kind to "balance out" the illusion with their perception and intent, this became the beginnings of what could actually be considered a religion, they sat about, day or night placing themselves into the spirit world whenever they encountered troublesome thoughts and unsolvable problems. The worst cases of those who devoted themselves to this "religion" they called The Way of Yang was malnourishment and eventual early deaths. The shinobi began to frequent the "temple" less and less though never deserting the haven, for two reasons, the women were aging, and the "monks made them somewhat uncomfortable. One of the younger monks named "Danzhi," an adopted named became heralded as the successor to lead the clan once he had activated the Musogan through daily self reflection while under his own genjutsu. Likely around 3 to 5 months after he had activated his Musōgan is when Yang's son had arrived. Yang correlated the situation to him, adding that he would prefer someone aware of the truth of the situation in a leadership role of the clan. Yang's son Umiga was confused, and angry. He did not know how to react but upon making eye contact with his father he'd found himself pleasantly serene and relieved, clear minded and suggested that whoever had meditated longer would be named successor effectively challenging Danzhi's credibility. Yang had influenced Umiga through the power of his advanced Musōgan, an amazing feat considering the fact that the boy had undergone formal training, yet had never realized what happened. Danzhi accepted, and no sooner than he had did Yang suddenly become ill, though still well enough to preside over the ritual which began in the pre dawn hours.
At around the time Yang had been attacked, a portion the afflicted in the land of lightning had now become moderately renowned as swordsman, archers, and martial artists, two had become an architect, and engineer, and together had been commissioned to build a 'church' (temple, mosque, w/e.) seeing how most of their other "exotic" cousins and relatives were deeply rooted in asceticism, philosophy, and the clergy. The church was strangely attractive, though it was geometric in design and built with materials so it would look like raw metal (inspired by the land of iron's trade, as the athletes and swordsman had a mutual bond with the land of iron's samurai corps.)
Kekkei Genkai Description:
At Genin (D) level the Doujutsu has not yet awakened, though a permanent passive +1 Perception is gained due to the Danketsugan, coupled with the bloodline member's consequential thoughtfullness and affinity for awareness and details this KKG gives -10% word count when training new skills, and -15% when training known skills. Also, in addition, the mentally burdening nature of the KKG puts a heavy load on the mind, since the Danketsugan still provides and processes a plethora of sensory information. This manifests as a Chakra deficiency (-25 chakra.)
At Chuunin (C) level the first level of The Doujutsu is awakened. Shingan, and Musogan are both ready for training, and usable after a thread of 2,000 words.
At Chuunin (C) level using Shingan will provide +1 to reaction times. Shingan consumes 10 Chakra on activation, and each post thereafter.
Musogan will provide the ability to build up chakra every post AFTER activation ranking up the next jutsu +1 each turn until it is 1 rank above the user (at Chuunin it would be (B) rank.) Musogan costs 5 chakra to activate, and 5 chakra per turn to maintain. Each turn after the activation post will raise the rank by one. The powered-up jutsu will cost a rank appropriate amount unless it is powered up to the shinobi's current rank, then the cost is reduced by 5 when cast.
When casting an empowered jutsu a rank above the shinobi, the user suffers a -1 reaction time from not being used to handling larger amounts of chakra.
At Chuunin (C) level Shingan/Musogan can be activated using the jutsu Tenshi: Shingan!/ Konoyo no shokubai: Musogan! The user must make a point to note which one has been activated in their post.
At Sp. Jounin (B)The 2nd level of Shingan/Musogan is available to train for 3,000 words.
level 2 Shingan will provide +1 reaction time, and +1 to Tai, Buku, Kugu, or Med jutsu If they are the user's Main, or Secondary spec. Costs (10) Chakra to activate (+5) for each spec that recieves a bonus, and (10) (+5) each turn to maintain, or (10) if no skills recieve a bonus.
level 2 Musogan provides the same ability-charging, in addition will provide +1 to Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Fuuinjutsu, and Kuchiyose, should the user have any. The cost is (5) to activate plus (5) for each skill that gets a buff, and costs 10 per turn to maintain. While building chakra, no jutsu from the schools that recieve a +1 from Musogan may be used without expending the built up chakra, even jutsu below the shinobi's rank will use it up and force the chakra to build up again. (Training is available later to help with this.)
At Jounin (A) rank, level 3 for Shingan/Musogan is usable after a 4,000 word thread. Now called Danketsugan, it provides the ability to activate both eyes at the same time. Shingan provides the +1 to reaction times, and Musogan provides the chakra building ability and -1 reaction time when casting plus the inability to use any jutsu that would recieve +1 from level 2 without expending latent chakra (unless trained of course!)
TO reiterate: This rank (3) functions as if both rank (1) Shingan/Musogan were active at the same time, but is activated with a different jutsu. Shin Tengoku no shokubai: Danketsugan! (True Heavenly Catalyst: Danketsugan!) Rank 3 Danketsugan (Shingan+Musogan) costs (15) chakra to activate, and (10) per turn to maintain.
Once rank 3 is usable, training to use jutsu without expending latent chakra is available and for 3,500 words removes that drawback.
Upon Assignment of a Jounin's first (A) rank mission, training for level 4 Danketsugan (Shingan/Musogan) is available, and after 5,000 words unlocked. Rank 4 Danketsugan Gives +1 reaction time, +1 to tai, buki, kugu, and med jutsu if it is the user's main or secondary spec. The chakra charging ability applies as well as the casting limit, if not trained. Ninjutsu, Fuuinjutsu, Kuchiyose, and Genjutsu get +1 if it is the user's main or secondary spec. Rank 4 costs (10) chakra to activate and (10) (+5) for each spec boost per turn to maintain.
- Philosopher's/Sage's Gait/Walk:
Philosopher's/Sage's Gait/Walk:
By closing their eyes and looking inward the user enters a state of oneness, their consciousness and subconsciousness merge in a diluted demiurge-like state, motivated by at least some general goal. The Clansmen's naturally balanced chakra resonates, as it usually would, but the Clansmen's natural affinity for perception and thoughtfulness is potentiated, resulting in an unconscious sense of awareness for everything within a rank appropriate radius. (The user's balanced chakra functions as a constant in the environment of variables, similar to chakra sonar the impressions caused by objects resisting, drawing, or permeating the 'waves' is 'felt' and can be defended against as if the user were taking action against themselves.
(in example: someone attempting to stab the user from behind could be reacted to and defended against as easily as if the user were taking the action themselves.)
The result is a state of being devoted solely to the preservation of the Clansmen's person. All incoming attacks from a specialty the user possesses recieve -1. The user can completely avoid any attacks that become below their rank after the -1, and can deflect, or redirect any that become the same rank. Attacks may be redirected at other enemies within reason, but never the attacker themselves, (unless for some reason the attacker chooses to RP it that way.) Any attacks that are one rank higher than the Clansmen after the -1 can only be defended against, and inflict damage equal to a direct hit from a technique of the Clansmen's rank.
Defense
Defense per rank for defensive type jutsu is a simple guideline, the common rule is a defensive technique is able to shield 4 Techniques of one rank lower (in this case they are avoided, 2 techniques of equal rank before breaking and 1 technique one one rank higher. Any other technique will shatter the shield and unless specified lower rank attacks will not often dent it.
At Chuunin (C) rank a 1,350 words training thread are required for use of Philospher's/Sage's Gait/Walk. Incoming attacks of any specialization receive -1 rank. The
At Sp. Jounin (B) rank a 2,125 words are required to learn the (2nd) rank of Philospher's/Sage's Gait/Walk. Incoming attacks of any specialization receive -1 rank.
At Jounin (A) rank 2,975 words are required to learn the (3rd) rank of Philospher's/Sage's Gait/Walk. Incoming attacks of any specialization receive -1 rank.
At Sannin rank (S) 4,500 word thread is required for the (4th) rank of Philospher's/Sage's Gait/Walk.
Note: The Philospher's/Sage's Gait/Walk cannot be used at all if the user's chakra flow is being currently disturbed by a seal, or if any chakra points are currently disturbed by techniques similar to the Hyuga's Juken, or some sort of tanketsu-afflicting med jutsu. (It can be used under Genjutsu, however as it reacts to what is physically there. Genjutsu will still be active, though any effects meant to cause fear, pain, excitement, confusion, loss of direction, sense of time etc.. will be ignored for the duration As the user essentially becomes a reactionary vessel.
Drawbacks: (What is your clan bad at?)
(not rly a drawback) Don't choose Focused, or One-track mind.)
1 & 2: Because of the strain put on the mind and body by the nature of the Kekkei Genkai all members must take Multi-Tasker, and Pharmacophobia (though multi-tasker is a positive it will use up one of their positives, and Pharmacophobia because of the precise balance in their bodies yin and yang energy their body and mind both work to keep a Chakra-homeostasis, therefore...)
3. All clan members recieve a -1 when being healed by non-clan members med jutsu, (the drawback is removed when a med nin of the clan heals a clan member, and values are applied normally,) and all attackers using med jutsu and chakra disturbing techniques with fuuinjutsu recieve +1 to attacking with these specialties.
5: The constant level of mental activity maintained by those within the clan's bloodline produces a lower level of chakra (-25,) as the individual matures however it becomes less noticeable (but remains.)
6. All member's must choose a Hesitant negative.
7. (still debating this one) Due to their reliance on their natural abilities (or preoccupation) the clan members recieve one less free jutsu of the highest rank every level. (Genin recieves no C level jutsu.)

Description: The user drops any active jutsu/doujutsu and closes their eyes, falling into a hypnotic state of demiurge-like awareness with the intent to defend itself against any potential threat. All attacks of any specialization receive -1 rank. Regular defense jutsu maintenance rules apply after the rank downgrade. Attacks ranked below the clansmen will be avoided, attacks of the same rank will be deflected, or redirected to another target, if possible, and an attack of the rank above will be defended against to the best of the user's ability doing damage it would at the lowered rank.[/b]
After rank downgrade - defenses:
4 Techniques of one rank lower (Avoided)
2 techniques of equal rank before breaking (Deflected/redirected)
1 technique one one rank higher. (Defended against, ends jutsu.)
Any other technique will shatter the shield.
