Iyata was walking out of the Kage’s building when she was met with a young girl running straight into her, “Oof!”She called out in a exhale catching the girl in her arms gently embracing her to lessen the impact. “Whoa…What is going on?”She asked softly looking down at the girl in sheer panic. Iyata placed the girl at arms length and watched her gently as she went from silently sobbing to full on hysterics. “My…My…brother….he is leaving….he he…”She sobbed and dropped to the ground. Iyata pursed her lips and rolled her eyes gently at how this girl was acting and frowned at the girl. “Hey!!! Snap out of it, your giving us women a had name and your further solidifying the stereotype that we are helpless females.” She commanded of the girl. She stifled her cries and stood back up slowly sniffling and trying to get herself under control. Iyata nodded her head softly, “Now what is going on, and tell me calmly.” She asked softly watching the girl.
The women took a deep breath and gathered her words softly and proceeded from the beginning letting her know that her brother had been thinking about living the village and going off on his own. She also informed Iyata of his depression and what his mindset was. Iyata sighed softly and nodded her head, hesitantly she said softly. “Allow me to go find him, I can try and talk to him and see what the deal is…”She said softly. Iyata blinked as the sister tried to hug her and instinctively jumped back nimbly putting distance between the two, “Hey now I did not promise anything keep her pants on…”She said softly and jumped up on a pole and onto the buildings roof. “I’ll see what I can do.”She said plainly and then took off at a dead run.
It was soon she was able to locate the younger sibling sitting on a park bench near the village exit, she jumped from the nearby building and landed gently on the ground and slowly walked towards the young man. She stuffed her hands into her pockets and strolled up to the boy, to which he turned his attention to her and adjusted his headband gently. Iyata walked up beside him and threw herself back onto the bench beside him and lounged out gently. She stared ahead gently and the both of them sat there in silence for a brief moment. It was the boy that finally put two and two together and said “I am not going to change my mind…”Iyata looked over at the boy a moment and smirked “Didn’t ask you too…”she responded. The boy shocked at her response then quickly the shock turned to mistrust as if he did not believe her. Iyata looked at the boy more closely, “Seriously I don’t care…If you want to die that is up to you…I mean your planning on leaving, I am quite sure you know what they do to Missing Ninja…”She left the sentence hanging.
“Okay let me make it plain to you…as it would seem you are clueless.” She said softly, “If you leave this village, they will mark you as a Missing Ninja. From there the ANBU will be released upon you and capture you, if not kill you…your body will be brought back to your family for burial and you will be no good to your family.” She said plainly, the boy turned white as a sheet. “But….if you choose to stay, and make use of your talent and skills, you will bring honor to your family and bring about something good in a place shrouded in darkness.” She said softly looking at the boy as slowly his color returned. The boy gave a faint smile, and she knew that was her in. “I…I don’t have much talent…I only graduated by luck.”he commented. Iyata shifted slightly and shrugged, “We all get lucky, but I tell ya what. Meet me here tomorrow and you an I can train together for a bit, hone some of your skills. Whadya say?”She asked softly. The boy smiled brightly nodding his head, “Okay!” he stated. Iyata nodded her head gently, “Now run off and go home, be here bright and early…we will have a long day.” The boy stood up eager to go home but stopped long enough to say, “Thank you!” before disappearing at a dead run. Iyata sighed softly and shook her head, she was such a softy.
