Matsu

Matsu

D-rank
It was a brand new day and the sun had just risen over the horizon, causing the sky to show as a dark blue. The few clouds overhead would signify the day would be clear and no rain would fall. This was a good thing as Matsu wasn't much a fan of rain. The air was that of a cool morning in autumn, a feeling reminiscent of waking up early to get ready for school. A feeling that Matsu knew all too well and dreaded. Of course, this was no coincidence, for any moment now, his alarm clock would ring and he'd be awakened to take off on his first mission. A mission about helping the academy.

Yes... Matsu would be forced to return to the one place he actually didn't care much for. He wasn't a fan of the academy, though he'd never portray such feelings to the children he was supposed to be acting as a role model for. He was there for a mission and he had absolutely no reason to mess it all up just because he had his own personal issues with the way the educational system was run.

The sound of his alarm would ring as the light of the sun came peering through his closed curtains. With a yawn, he'd hit his clock lazily, causing it to topple over and hit the ground with a bang. The startled Matsu would bounce out of his bed, picking up the clock and sighing as he placed it back on the nightstand. He'd look at the time before standing and beginning to go through his daily routines of showering, brushing his teeth and making a quick breakfast. He had little time to get to the Academy and it would be a tragedy if he was late for the very first mission that was assigned to him.

He had decided to wear his robe today rather than his dress clothes as he wanted to give off the appearance that he was relaxed in his demeanor and as he left the house, he made sure to say goodbye to his mother. Walking down the early morning streets, it would seem to most that his eyes were completely closed, but a smile sat stretched across his face. To anyone watching, it would seem as though he was seeing his direction by some sort of extrasensory perception, but no, his eyes were simply very narrow.

Minding his own business as he traveled, he came upon the Academy, watching as students and teachers alike crowded into the small building. Matsu would manage to bob and weave through the sea of unfamiliar faces, reaching the front desk and signing his name in and his purpose. A secretary at the desk would smile and hand him a sticker which stated 'Hi, My name is Matsu!' Though Matsu promised he'd 'totally' wear it, he never actually did, dropping it in a garbage can at the nearest convenience.

Continuing on through the wooden building, he came upon the nearest classroom that looked available for him to walk in on and walked to the Chuunin instructor, explaining the situation of the mission and why he was actually there. The teacher, understanding of the situation nodded silently before handing Matsu a piece of chalk.

Turning to write on the board, the young boy would speak to the class with a relaxed tone, Hey everyone, I'm Matsumura Hashikawa. I'm here to answer any questions you all might have about becoming a Genin and what it actually means... He would write his name on the board in the bright white chalk and turn around, pressing his hands together. The sleeves of his robe would cover his hands, concealing them altogether.

It only took a few moments for the children to understand and begin asking boring questions of no particular importance to which Matsu would answer with the same dry intensity with which they were asked. There were always children here and there that seemed genuinely interested, but as the day went on, those children seemed less and less intrigued by the idea and Matsu himself became more and more bored.

It was a mission though and like any others he'd be forced to take, he would do it with no problem. At the end of the day, Matsu returned to the front desk. Luckily the secretary hadn't noticed his blatant lie about wearing the name tag. Matsu asked that the results of the mission be forwarded to the Hokage and left.
