Bell rings
Kenji entered the diner, and gave the establishment a quick once over.
Bell rings
Apparently, Kenji was walking slowly and he was in someone’s way. He stepped to the side amicably. The young lady gave him a polite smile as she walked past. Water rushed in the back, fervently preparing more dishes for the patrons. The diner was neat and clean and ran smoothly. Everywhere, there were customers being tended to by waiters in cloud pattern outfits. Before Kenji took another step he was greeted by a hostess; “Chikara, Kenji; please this way.” He couldn’t hold back his smug smile. He was led to a window seat set for two, “Just you sir?” Kenji nodded.
The diner had a very natural ambiance because of the many windows that ushered light in. “Hot tea, please.” Kenji accepted the menu and began to read it over while he waited for his hot tea. The activity of the Diner was almost rhythmic as the chatter played in the background, constant like a metronome. Every now and then Kenji modified his routine or what he preferred, being not too fond of dullness; he looked at a few items that caught his eye but had never tried before. Before he could continue his analysis of his options, he heard another bell ring, signifying another entering customer, Kenji turned his head to the right, over to the far side of the diner to see who it was.
