Catching a Prankster:

The clouds casually lingered in the sky, keeping distance between each other and taking up most of its expanse.  The sun elbowed its way around them, poking out here or there as the clouds drifted westwards.  Izumi watched the clouds move, breathing out her own clouds as she smoked a cigarette.  A messenger-nin appeared before her, landing smoothly and holding out a mission note.  His sudden appearance was most likely a Body Flicker technique, and he landed it smoothly, looking deep into her slightly startled eyes.  She took the note from his hands, regaining her composure, and opened it hastily, wanting to fight another mission.

The note said she was to find a prankster that was escaping custody, writing graffiti on several walls throughout Iwagakure no Sato.  She clenched her fists tightly after reading it.  Good, I could use a mission right about now.  She turned away and leapt up onto an adjacent building's roof.  She read the note over, seeing details that the kid wore a bright red jumpsuit and was carrying a bag full of spray paint.  She put the mission note in her pocket as she started running along the rooftops, looking high and low for the brat.  Izumi knew this would be enjoyable, her smile reaching from ear to ear as she set off on her search.

As Izumi leaped from rooftop to rooftop, checking the east side of the village first.  Moving to the south side, Izumi heard a loud crash come from a convenience store.  Rushing up to it, she found an old man in a work apron yelling, "That damn punk did it again!  Just you wait, you'll get what's coming to you, ya brat!"  She looked over at the wall of the convenience store, it was covered with graffiti that read 'stupid, disgusting store'.  Clenching her fists, she looked around her to see where the boy had gone.  The paint was still fresh, so he was somewhere close by.

She made a run in the direction the old man of the convenience store was yelling at.  The punk couldn't get too far, as the mission note had said he was only an Academy Student causing mischief.  Not too long in her dash to find the delinquent, she came across a villager that was screaming about their house.  Pausing for a moment to see what the commotion was about, she noticed the side wall of the house had been sprayed on with a hasty tag.  The graffiti was a sloppy writing of "Old Hag's house."  Izumi resumed her search, grinning at the fact that the punk wasn't too far ahead of her.  She couldn't wait to catch the brat and teach him a lesson or two in physical pain.

Not too far from the old hag's house she caught up with the troublemaker. She saw him running along the rooftops on the opposite side of the street. A second body appeared ahead of the boy, making him stop and yell out in a panic. The other person lunged for the boy, but the kid made a leap across the street to the rooftop where Izumi was standing. Taking advantage of this, Izumi leaped into the air, her right foot stretched out in front of her as she collided with the boy mid-air. His breath pushed out of him as his eyes widened in surprise. "I've got ya now, ya little turd!" she barked as they fell to the street below. The kid landed on his right shoulder, rolling after his first bounce while Izumi landed on her feet in a slight lunge position.

She watched the boy lay on the street, holding his stomach and his right shoulder. Slowly lifting herself up from her squat. The other person that had jumped for the boy hopped down next to Izumi. It was a shinobi from the village's police headquarters. He smiled at Izumi and handed her a note. It read 'Mission complete.' Izumi looked up to see the man pick up the boy, and carried him off in the direction of the police headquarters. The boy looked over the man's shoulder at Izumi, trying to give his best glare at her. She just smiled at herself and walked away, her long, maroon hair flowing a step behind her.
