Clan History: A long time ago, an Uchiha couldn't master the fireball technique, the clan's basic technique. The clan's elder, feeling ashamed because of that one member who couldn't master the most basic jutsu from their clan, kicked the member, telling him that there's no need for him to come back once he doesn't know their Fire Style technique.
A hyuuga cadet branch member (female) secretly met with him and eventually their child had the eyes that kurenai has. The eyes of the Yuhi Clan are known for their power in the Genjutsu. With these powers, Yuhi Kurenai and other shinobi (like Kurenai's dad) were able to become fine Shinobi.

They eventually became the Yuhi clan. But they have their hatred towards Uchiha's but like the Hyuugas.

Kekkei Genkai Description: The user is able, using his unique Kekkei Genkai, a Doujutsu of the Yūhi Clan, to create very powerful illusions that may cause severe headaches for the opponent or powerful mental attacks that may go to severe injuries of even death in some cases. Because of their unique Doujutsu, the Yuhi Clan's members gain +1 Rank in Genjutsu from the start.

Drawbacks: The Yūhi clan users can't learn Ninjutsu that is higher than S-Rank. Also, their other element starts with 1 Rank lower. The members from the Yūhi Clan can't learn Katon.

   Description: This is one of the genjutsu passed down since ancient times in Konohagakure. The user first disappears from plain sight in a mist-like fashion in order to approach the target without being detected. Once close enough, the target will then be completely robbed of their mobility as they see the mirage of a fast-growing tree coiling itself around them. Given that the subject remains conscious, this technique proves extremely efficient for information-gathering. Once the target is immobile, the user can then attack the enemy, usually after emerging from the trunk of the tree. When someone is in this jutsu's effect, he/she will be stunned for 5 posts, in this time, the user, being able to extract any information he/she desires. This jutsu can't be countered by Genjutsu Kai.

I don't really like the idea of this clan. In the Canon, Kurenai's proficience in Genjutsu not connected to her clan at all. Her father didn't show any proficience or even use of Genjutsu, although he did use Barrier Ninjutsu and a sword. Also, her use of trees and flowers within her techniques is just a personal preference of hers. And the fact that this is supposedly the result of a failed Uchiha and a cadet Hyuuga's Doujutsu...?

From a staff perspective, it doesn't shape up very well, either. It's a doujutsu, but it doesn't hardly fit the standard for the rest of the doujutsu clans here. It's far too brief and plain. In addition, there is already a Doujutsu clan here that buffs Genjutsu, the Nekito clan. It may be locked to Kumo, but I don't think Konoha needs a Genjutsu-based Doujutsu as well.

And finally, Tree Binding Death has already been approved as a normal jutsu, so we can't turn it into a clan jutsu now.
