A few weeks ago, Skye had become a Spec. Jounin and immediately requested a squad. Having just been appointed to the position, it was quite a surprise that his request for a team was granted – partially. It wasn’t but three days after his request was granted that he received word that two Genin had joined his squad. One he was familiar with, and the other was new. Skye had already received their files and decided to not read them. Not because of laziness, but because he felt a few pieces of paper didn’t exactly sum up who a person was like. He sent a letter for the girl of his squad to meet up with him by the Tethys Grounds. Although he didn’t receive a letter back, he assumed that the girl had gotten it and would be on her way once reading it.
Knowing it was a comfortable area to just talk near the grounds, he also picked them for other reasons. The grounds could also be used to spar, so if the girl wanted to try to test him in a quick fight, she could. If she simply wanted to talk to him, she could. Not knowing the girl’s personality or even her skills as a ninja were making Skye second-guess himself about reading the files. He was already at the grounds, so there wasn’t really an option for him to read them at this point. With a sigh, he sat down and laid back. Waiting for his new student was rather nerve racking for him. Being a mentor to someone was something that was new and somewhat exciting for him. It was probably going to take the girl a while, so he let his mind wander as he waited for the girl to arrive.
