Kenji had to meet with the head of the Chikara; Ooame. This would be his 3rd meeting with him to discuss his "progress". As the ambassador of the Chikara Kenji felt he had made a good impression so far; rising to Chunin marked the end of his scout period, and he was to divulge the information he gathered.

The blue haired Chunin entered the voluminous office of Ooame and took his seat as Ooame had been expecting him. "Kenji, I would like to congratulate on the wonderful work you've done. I received your reports yesterday from my assistant. Very impressive, I am also happy with your honesty. So, tell me more about your issue with Latika." Kenji leaned forward and surveyed the room before answering; "As you know 'Latika' has been following me... she confronted me when I was with a few of my comrades; causing them to speculate about my relation with the lurker." Ooame stood up and grabbed a file from the shelf adjacent to his desk. "Kenji, that is indeed the Latika you knew. She is a criminal going under the alias Kalita; she is connected to several acts of espionage and illegal information gathering." The Chunin's expression did not change as he had rationalized and knew if it was Latika she had to be a criminal because of her obvious defection of Kumogakure. "I figured as much" Kenji said apathetically. Ooame slid him a file that elaborated on her crimes and on her abilities; he took the file and put it in his backpack. "Well, now that we have gotten that out of the way; there is another reason we are meeting today. It's time for you to learn Onojutsu so you can wield the D.C.L.A, a very prestigious weapon held dear to the Chikara; I believe you're ready to begin training so you too can equip yourself with it in time."

The two Chikara walked outside; near the field of rice paddies, they were on a clear patch of grass where Ooame would teach Kenji the art of Onojutsu. Ooame wielded two axes, one in each hand. He tapped the two tips together creating a spark; Kenji flinched slightly and moved for his katana. "I know about the abilities of the D.C.L.A, I've just never seen it in person. Are you going to fight me with that?" Ooame let out a slight chuckle, "Of course not, I could kill you." Two men came jogging up towards Kenji and Ooame; they both were carrying a weapon. "First you will learn how to wield basic Onojutsu weapons." Ooame accepted one of the weapons and directed the other man to give the weapon he carried to Kenji; the men did jogged away. "What I am holding is a war hammer, you are holding a mace." Kenji analyzed the weapon he had; it had a wooden shaft that was about 2 feet long and a heavy round spiky head that seemed to be comprised of metal. Kenji could tell that the weapon required considerable strength; and as a result use a lot of stamina. He immediately began to have second thoughts, "Ooame I don't think this type of weapon fits me..." "You're referring to your poor stamina, do you want that to remain a weakness or do you want to overcome it?" Kenji realized his point, he shouldn't being trying to avoid his weakness but improve it. "These are both blunt weapons, the exact opposite of your Kenjutsu/katana. These weapons do not need to pierce in order to inflict great damage; via bruising and concussions. When it comes to armor, blunt weapons have a better chance of inflicting damage than a katana." Ooame gave Kenji a brief summary of what Onojutsu entailed, and pointed out a few differences between Kenjutsu and Onojutsu. "However, these weapons are slightly easier to avoid giving the weight, making them slower naturally. But, it forces the opponent in most cases to avoid completely as opposed to blocking or parrying; assuming the foe is a Kenjutsu practitioner, as a sword will rarely provide an adequate defense against a hammer or mace." Onojutsu was starting to sound quite favorable; if Kenji could switch between Ken and Ono it could have its benefits. "Now that you know the basics, let's try them out." Ooame took an offensive stance then charged Kenji. The head of the Chikara was intimidating enough without him running at someone full speed; standing six feet four inches and with a solid frame and an obvious physique made of Bukitjutsu and Taijutsu. Kenji drew one kunai and as Ooame got in striking range he threw into Ooamne thigh; then proceed to jump over the horizontal swing from the hammer. "Hm, he took advantage of the size of the hammer, waiting till I got in close and unable to move it in position to dodge the kunai but was still quick enough to leap over me." To Kenji's dismay Ooame planted his left foot and gripped the hammer with his right hand and spun around to deliver a vicious blow while Kenji was air borne.

Ooame utilized the momentum of the spin perfectly; increasing the speed of the strike drastically. With Kenji being air-borne and not expecting the maneuver; he was in a very dangerous spot. He put the mace in front of him hoping to absorb most of the contact. The wooden handle/shaft of the mace snapped in half and Kenji went flying several meters. Kenji tumbled to the ground with little grace but quickly regathered himself and rolled to his feet. He threw away one half of the mace; and wielded the half that had the metal spiked head. Kenji charged with his half of a mace but came to a halt as Ooame raised his hand. "Not too bad for your first time with the weapon; you move well with it... but can you use it." An assistant suddenly appeared with a war hammer and handed it to Kenji. "That shouldn't break, now I will take the defensive."

Kenji didn't want to attack head on but he had a plan that might help in succeed. Kenji channeled lightning chakra through his hammer; "Chikara Clash" a technique Kenji created and hoped Ooame was unaware of. Kenji charged at full speed and seemed like he was be able to land the attack; or at least get Ooame to block and then transfer the lighting chakra into his weapon and then into his hands. At the last second Ooame side stepped and avoided the attempt effortlessly. "Too blatant! I knew it!" Kenji scolded himself. Kenji then decided to copy Ooame and he planted his left foot and used his momentum to spin around wielding the hammer with two hands with lightning running through it. Ooame was forced to block and when he did he was electrocuted. Kenji took advantage and initiated an upward diagonal strike for his shoulder; it landed and succeeded in causing Ooame to budge. A look of pure shame came onto Kenji's face. "I put all I had in that strike" he sulked. "Don't worry, you'll get stronger. That was a nice chakra flow move. Anyway, we'll resume training later; once again very good for you first time."

The two walked back to the office, Ooame carried both hammers and the D.C.L.A. On the walk back Kenji thought about Latika or Kalita; now that he confirmed that she was a criminal; that made the whole stalking thing even more peculiar. Was she looking for revenge? Was she punishing him? Kenji didn't know, but next time he saw her; out of pure duty he would take her down. He was stronger since their last meeting and now that he had all the information about what she could do, he was  confident he could defeat her and force her to reveal her motive.

"You'll get the D.C.L.A in no time... and about Latika; stay away from her. The details are there, but I advise not doing anything hasty alone, ok?" Kenji stared at Oomae, "Yes" Kenji knew that Oomae could tell he was lying since Kenji rarely complied with anyone that easily. "Yeah, well I know you're glad you're a Chunin; no more gathering information. Once again, well done." Kenji was tired of Ooame's over politeness, kindness, and understanding. Kenji said goodbye and exited Ooame Chikara's office. Kenji was almost in the main section of the village when imagined wielding the Double Chikara Lightning Axe or even the Hane; which he was almost ready to use sufficiently. But the Lightning Axe was a much more devastating weapon. Now that Kenji knew the basics of Onojutsu, like Ooame said, it wouldn't be long. He walked into his house and took the file on Latika out of his bag and placed it on the table and began to read it. Like Kenji thought, she was a puppeteer, as he read further he was astonished that the girl he once knew could be connected to such despicable and lowly crimes. But a part of him didn't want to believe it. He wanted to hear it from her, he wanted her side of the story; he didn't know why, he assumed he still cared for her after all these years. He had locked away that particular emotion for so long he could no longer discern it.
