Ahh, the smell of the market! The joy was almost bursting out of Suzumi, there was almost nothing she loved as much as taking a walk across the market square. She walked by various stalls, feeling the weight of her (full) right pocket. Hmm... What should I get? I'm in the mood for some fruit, I think... She saved a week of allowance so she could buy whatever she wanted here, but now that she's here, nothing seems to actually be interesting, or is heavily overpriced. It would be best to just buy something to eat, and continue strolling by, actually.

She look around her, looking for the best choice. I want something juicy... And sweet, juicy and sweet! And that's when it hit her. Apples. Apples what she was thinking about. And, was it a coincidance that she was just standing by a stall that sold nothing but apples? I think not. It was destiny. She turned to the lady, who was pretty nice as well. She had short black hair, and some casual clothes on. Suzu glared at which of the apples looked the tastiest...

"Can I help you?"

The lady's voice snapped Suzumi back to memory, so she responded with a nice and friendly voice.

"Oh, yes please. I'd like an apple."

"Just one? How about you take five, and get an extra one for free!"

The lady responded back, but it wasn't quite the response Suzumi expected. She was trying to get her to buy more apples... Hmmph. I said I wanted an apple, that means I want an apple... Suzumi looked at the seller with a "are you serious" face, before responding, still trying to sound nice.

"Ughh... No thanks, I just want the one if that's alright."

The lady looked a little offended, but didn't say a word. There was an awful silence, where both of them just kept glaring at each other's eyes, like it was a Texas standoof, just about to commence.

"That'll be two ryo, dear."

The odd lady finally decided to end the silence. Hahah, I knew she'd crack... Suzumi gave her the money, and picked the biggest and juiciest apple on the rack, biting it the moment she took it. Sweetness filled her senses; this was surely the best apple she ate so far. She swirled around on her heels, completing several full circles before she took off from the stand, more hopping than walking, actually.

She wast walking away, when, an apple hit her, right in the middle of the head! OW! She turned around, reflexively, only to see the apple stall lying on the floor, together with like a hundred of apples, and the lady on the floor. A guy was there, looked a bit over Suzu's age. It appeared that he was trying (and succeeding) in catching the apples. The sight, for some strange reason, had a strong association to a juggling monkey. Suzumi chuckled at the thought, just as the boy fled the scene. Everybody was confused, yelling and laughing. Nobody seemed to see the direction the young vandal headed for, nobody except Suzumi at least.

"Where did he go, where did he go???"

The woman, that now got up from the floor yelled, and Suzumi was the first one to answer.

"This way! He went this way, and toppled me as well!"

The crowd formed, and together they ran to catch the shoplifter. Suzumi moved to the site, smiling. That's what you get... It wasn't nice of Suzumi to lie about the location of the shoplifter, but she actually didn't care all that much. When the crowd cleared, she grabbed another apple from the floor (the mob threw the heavenly one she had out of her hand, and stompeled it) and bite it, after wiping it with her face. She then started running, in the direction of the mysterious boy. Who knows, this might just end up as an adventure.
