Slowly, the grey blankets covering the sky shifted and rolled over the horizon. The bright bulb of light pushed through the blockade, shimmering lines of energy streaking through the cracks. Each of the blinding rays hurt the orange eyes of the genin when he tried to glance at them. It was roughly afternoon, judging from the position of the sun. He decided that it going to be a little too wet to train today, but that decision left him with little left to do. Going back home to be questioned by his uncle was undesirable. And the teen had little imagination beyond that.
Overcast isn't a frequent weather condition for the lush forest city of Konohagakure, but today wasn't in align with the norm. It was the turning of seasons, the beginning of a new time. It was something Kyoichi needed, but didn't know what to do with. His eyes slowly drifted down from looking at the silhouette of the sun, and observed the street laid out in front of him. He wasn't in the marketplace, nor in any particular section of the city, simply wandering from street to street.
The sky crackled over his head, and the sound of an impending wave surrounded him. The rain was starting, evident to him by the tiny droplets hitting his onyx hair. Kyoichi turned his head to and fro, looking for any nearby shops to take cover in. He noted that he was, for the most part, surrounded by homes. Children were beginning to be taken in by parents, and the streets were clearing of people. He jogged up to the next four-way intersection, spotting a point of intersection. His tan coat bounced against his legs, arms extended out for a brief period. He had a relaxed expression, but a stressed demeanor.
He spotted the familiar business. The tea shop was a one level building, with the bamboo railings hanging over the outskirts of the perimeter and an open courtyard of tables and chairs, railing around the building. A perfect place to see the rain, hear it, but not get soaked in it. An old man was sitting behind the counter, and there were a few figures visible behind him. They were moving around the kitchen with a purpose.
Rain was beginning to come down hard as he stepped into the covered courtyard. The floor was covered with tough tile, so there was no need to remove his shoes. The raven haired individual sat down at a table for two and shook off his hair, running fingers through the soft locks. "Ugh..." He pronounced, as he noticed someone approach him.
"Hello, sir. Would you like something to drink?" A perky, average height female questioned him. He realized that he didn't have any ryo on him at the moment, and simply requested a water. She nodded and smiled gracefully, then left him to his own devices.
Kyoichi was seated next to the railing that separated the courtyard from the street, and kept the building standing. The rain pitter pattered against the roof, and the ground next to him. The sound was soothing, and as his thoughts wandered aimlessly, he put one arm on the table in front of him and held his head up. As the moments past, he closed his eyes. The moment was peaceful.
