Today was a joint task for many of the Genin of Kiri, though it was still labeled as a mission. The importance of today was likely the reason behind it. The Genin of Kiri were to learn the tunnels and protocol for evacuating the village during times of crisis or attack. Waking up, Kaguza knew he wouldn't need anything for today, though he still would wear a couple of his weapons out of habit. With his wars fans and meteor hammer as well as his gourd in their usual place on his person he set out for the Misty Salvage. Kaguza had spent a fair amount of time in the tunnels connected to the Salvage, mostly during his training sessions, so he wasn't unfamiliar with the network. Arriving at the Salvage a large group comprising of both Genin and academy students stood around waiting for the session to begin. It times of crisis it was the primarily the Genin's job to evacuate the civilians to the bunkers hidden within the salvage. The academy students were here to learn for future reference since they would graduate from the academy and become Genin themselves. Hopefully they wouldn't remain Genin as long as Kaguza. The age range of the group was rather small, though it rose upon Kaguza's arrival, several people even mistaking him as the instructor due to his physical age. He did have knowledge of the protocol for evacuation and could handle the session, he'd get in trouble if he just up and led the event himself. After the arrival of several other classes and Genin, the Special Jounin running the event made his appearance. The man wore the standard Kiri vest, and his headband was on display proudly on his forehead. Kaguza never took much in about wearing his headband, though he always had it on his person. The emblem of Kiri was engraved into his harness, that was his display of patriotism towards the village. The man opened up a large shed and led the group down into the tunnels. Turning on the lights, the first sight upon the tunnels was a large open room with eight tunnels leading in nearly every direction. Labeling the openings starting from the left, he led them down one of the tunnels. Within a few minutes of walking the group came upon a similar room with an equal number of tunnels . The Special Jounin again labeled them and repeated the process, this occurred roughly five more times. The tunnel network was set up similar to a maze in order to confuse any trespassing enemy and protect the citizens of Kiri. Upon reaching the actual bunkers used for protecting the civilians, the group was shown the escape route leading out of the bunkers. The layout of the tunnels took most of the day to show, the lecture of protocol was still to come. Returning to the original meeting point the special jounin leading the group began talking of protocol. As Kaguza already knew, the Genin were to find and evacuate civilians. Only after evacuating all of the civilians did the task for Genin change and it wasn't to aid the village. The Genin were then to defend the villagers and lead the to safety should the bunker become compromised. The protocol for evacuation had redundancy built in but it was necessary. After the lecture was completed, the Genin had to sign a sheet stating that they knew the protocol, while the academy students were done for the day. Signing off on the sheet, Kaguza went about his day, though it was a little late to get any training in.
