- Considering strange timelines and all, Sanosuke is to be considered a Genin throughout this topic. That means he will retain the Genin level chakra pool and must use only Genin appropriate jutsu/weapons. After it ends, he will be Chuunin as usual.
Today was the day. The time was just right, and the weather was permissible. Well, that wasn't entirely true. The wind was actually rather low for a plateau, and and the time was a bit earlier than what should have been expected for him to arrive, he was really early even by his standards to finish up work. Plus, there was one extra with him, so today was actually more of an irregularity than a norm. Even so! The time spent here was surely going to be that of a grand day for all involved. The time was still well before noon, and the chill from the night and the moisture from the morning dew was still present. There was plenty of time to get a lot of training done for the day. Plus, if everything was going well, then they might as well just continue on into night. Nothing like a long training session to improve stamina!
That being said, Kiti was still young, so he'd have to make the most improvement out of all of them. Midnight was confident that he'd do fine. As for himself... there might not be much improvement going on, but he would certainly be learning about his villagers more personally and would be making sure that they were much stronger. There was always the chance of actually learning something from them as well, so there was that if he was lucky. He was sure that he could help Sanosuke most considering his specializations, but Hiromasa would be a bit more difficult in that his specialties weren't exactly a good pair with his own. Since Sano and Hiro seemed to be acquainted with each other, though, it might not be that hard.
Since Midnight had arrived, with Kiti in tow, all that was left was for him to make up a training regimen. Midnight thought about it for a moment, but then dismissed the thought. That was far too boring, and not like him. While it would be easy to make a regimen more fun depending on how they get it done, it wouldn't be fun in itself. Besides that, Midnight really just wanted to spar with them. Surely that would be amusing to him at least.
That sounds rather mean. Beating up his students for his own pleasure... It would do them good to know what it's like to be close to death. Considering one of his swords' ability, it would most certainly do them well to get them acquainted to pain. Emotional pain wouldn't be something he could teach, but physical pain would be easy. With his fuuinjutsu, he could teach them to deal without having all their senses. Then there was his daggers. Those would be really fun to play with. Midnight couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the thought of actually getting to use his weapons at least a little bit more seriously than in training and on actual people, too.
The landscape was rather bare. No one had come up to the plateau yet, it seemed. This was good. Midnight had only just arrived himself, so it was good that no one else was here, making him late. The flat land of the plateau would be great for sparring with swords, but perhaps a place with a bit more obstacles would be better later on, since interacting within a more likely environment would be better, but for now the basics would be best for them. At least, Midnight supposed so, he didn't have an estimation of their power just yet, so he was likely underestimating all of them. He would have to find out sooner or later, so now was the time. All that was left was for Hiro and Sano to arrive, then they could get started. Get started on this wonderful day of fighting as training, that is.
