Raishi Kanetsu
A-rank
It's been a while huhn....
Seated comfortably on his bed in the Kanetsu clan compound, Raishi wiped the lingering trickles of sweat from across his forehead with his left hand. With his right hand, he held 2 sheets of paper, both containing details about the two Genin that had been placed under his tutelage. He smiled lightly as he continued looking through their information, not because there was anything particularly amusing about either of the characters, but because he could remember a time where he would have never even thought of volunteering to lead a team, as he had seen the responsiblity as an unnecessary burden. Perhaps that's why I never lasted he thought to himself. Throughout his time as a Jounin of Iwagakue no Sato, he had had a total of about 4 different teams, each with somewhat unique characters, from all sorts of clans and backgrounds, and he couldn't count a single one that had actually made it to become anything. Well excluding Jet... he thought to himself curiously. But she was an outlier really, as her success was more based on her irrefutable insanity rather than any influence Raishi had on her. Heck, he couldn't even recognise her or remember her name when he saw her. And frankly, he wouldn't be able to recognise any of the others he had taught in the past. This time will be different he thought to himself as he dropped the sheets of paper on his bed.
As it was still early in the morning, Raishi needed to get prepared for the day ahead. So he stood up, rubbing the vestiges of sleep from his eyes, and stretching his arms wide and flapping them like a hawk, before quickly dressing up. Since he already had on his black shinobi trousers and black sandals, he put on a plain white long sleeved T shirt with the Kanetsu crest on the back, and his Iwagakure village bandana style headband. As he put those on, he eyed his flak jacket in the corner, deliberating whether he should or should not wear it. In the end, he decided against it, as he decided that this preliminary meeting would only be a casual affair.
After dressing up, Raishi advanced to his desk, where there were two blank sheets of paper, ready to be written on with a pen in between both of them. He sat his desk, swiftly crafting a note to be delivered to the domiciles of his two students. Yamada, Alexis.....Kyudoka, Logan..... With the final pen stroke, Raishi looked at the two cards, proof reading what he had written, making sure they were of identical content. The message read:
Oh wow... he thought to himself, chuckling a bit. It only just dawned on him that he had a thing for writing short, to the point messages with his students. Was it for the sake of suspense? To get them anxious for what he had planned? He had no idea. Perhaps it was just the way he was wired. Shortly after finishing the lettersm Raishi dashed outside, escaping the warmth of the overwhelming warmth of the volcano into the cool morning's air. The sun was beginning its rise into the sky already, signifying the awakening of the village itself, and Raishi wanted to deliver the messages without being seeing by either of his students. Dashing from house to house as inscribed on the information sheets he had, he successfully delivered the notes before returning back to the clan compound to handle business as usual. It wouldn't be till about 30 minutes before noon before Raishi found himself at Waterfall Point, on the ground right next to the lake at the bottom of the waterfalls. Even though he was on land, he could feel the occasional sprinkle of water from the waterfalls, its coolnes soothing his naturally hot body. It was here that he waited for his students to arrive.
