Clan History: There were times in history when clans struggled for power, but even more so there were times when the clans who lost that power had to struggle for food, and learn to survive by any means necessary. Shikiryu was one such clan. They had a firm seat of power in the land of waves until a clan of Ice users banished them from their home.They had to become nomadic and adapt to survive, hashing it out in the harshest terrains, looking for a new home. For years they'd been travelling and settling, then leaving once more when another clan came around to boot them out. They were never a very strong clan at the start and many used this knowledge to push them around and destroy their homes, keeping them perpetually on the move.This went on for years, the Shikiryu  fleeing each time, finding solace in the harshest wastes of the land of wind.

While they had found a new home, famine had found them. They could not find enough food to forage, nor make enough money to feed each other. They were beginning to die out, erased from history. Until their leader, Igneel, began to form chakra into orbs in his hands, gorging himself on them. He had begun the start of chakra cannibalism, and others started to follow suit to survive. Generations of eating their own chakra allowed the members to grow a new minor organ to develop the chakra into energy inside their body as if they were eating a real meal. The chakra consumption came at a price, causing madness and intense tranformations in many of the clans, causing a great many of them to die out or kill each other.

The clan is now much smaller and tightknit than before, due to the aggressive nature of their kekkei genkai. After generations of dying and adapting, the clan members of Shikiryu  have learned how to deal with their chakra consumption and work around it to keep themselves from descending into madness. For now, at least.

Upon reaching the age of thirteen all members of the clan are branded with a tattoo of the clan's symbol on their body in their chosen place.

Kekkei Genkai Description:The Shikiryu  clan are a feared clan of Aesetics who over generations in wastelands learned to survive on little more than their own chakra, developing the art of chakra consumption they crafted many a means to survive in their harsh and unforgiving home their bodies developing a minor organ called the 'dragon seed' which allows them to take nourishment from the trace nature charka within everything. But the Shikiryu could not have foreseen the consequences of generations of devouring their own chakra to such a level. Degrees of madness and mutation plagued the clan leaving them all but extinct... until they finally adapted.

In the modern era the Shikiryu have an affinity for devouring chakra, to the point that many of their techniques, in place of hand-seals, involve channeling a raw orb of charka and physically eating it to create faux elemental anatomy upon or within themselves for a set amount of turns depending on the technique used then, manipulating that anatomy as a platform to create and perform almost limitless potential techniques.

Elemental Augmentation: is the ability to devour chakra and with it develop the likeness of a body part or anatomical feature resembling a dragon's they would not normally possess. These could be talons made of flame, wings, exoskeleton an extendable tongue or empowering a more internal process like ones metabolism. The Shikiryu  clan member is capable of flowing chakra into these augmentations as if they were their own body. The act of the Shikiryu's body taking on these changes is directly tied to eating chakra and while it does increase dragon force, the changes that come on are completely aesthetic unless used in combination with a technique or jutsu. IE: Chakra is required to make these changes useful at all.  

• Dragon Kata: is the broad umbrella term for jutsu or techniques which use Elemental Augmentations as a platform in order to be used. Ie. If one were to create wings from raiton, 'Dragon Kata' abilities would involve firing raiton senbon from those wings, using them as a barrier or potentially use them for flight.
  

Dragon Force: Having a body evolve to be capable of eating and processing chakra is not something that fails to have a physical effect on the body. As the Shikiryu clan member puts more chakra through their augmented anatomy, too much excess chakra in their system has a transformative effect on their body. This effect increases their strength, but simultaneously deteriorates their mental state. Dragon force decays over time at a rate of one tier per post after the first (Ie, if a user were to move into tier 3 on one post, their next post, there would be no decrease, but the post afterwards they would revert to tier 2)

• Tier 1: Upon devouring a second chakra orb/jutsu to gain an elemental augmentation within 1 post of being able to eat another orb the user receives +1 tier to strength, but changes little physically.
  
  
• Tier 2:If the Shikiryu clan member devours a third orb/jutsu within 1 post of being able to eat another, they elevate to tier 2. The clan member gains an additional tier of strength and reaction time as their skin begins to look like reptilian scales.
  
  
• Tier 3: Should the Shikiryu clan member eat a fourth orb/jutsu to gain an elemental augmentation within 1 post of being able to eat another , they elevate to tier 3 of Force. At tier 3 the user grows claw like nails that are two inches in length and considered basic weapons a rank lower than their ninja rank, as well as the +1 tier to Strength and Reaction Time of previous ranks.
  
  
• Tier Final: Finally, should a fifth orb/jutsu be eaten within 1 post of being able to eat another, the Shikiryu ascends to their fourth and final tier of their Dragon Force. In this state, the user is surrounded by a violent aura of their chakra. It seems to relentlessly flow from their body, reducing their Dragon Kata Cooldowns by two posts and reducing cooldowns on jutsu of their primary element by one post. In this state the clan member grows vestigial horns, spines a forked tongue and various other aesthetic effects, as well as the +1 tier to Strength and Reaction Time of previous ranks.
  

Chakra Cannibalism: is the act of the Shikiryu intaking chakra and their Dragon Seed organ processing it to power their Elemental Augmentation and Dragon Kata, while increasing their Dragon Force. The Chakra Orb must be created separately as a scaling jutsu (C-S) that takes the spot of one of their S Rank jutsu. In addition to the eating of orbs made of their own Chakra, the Shikiryu is able to ingest jutsu of the same element as their Primary, within one rank of their ninja rank. When ranking up their Dragon Seed organ, the Shikiryu must train each rank and state which rank their Dragon Seed  is at the top of their jutsu list. The training for the Dragon seed and what it does at each rank are as follows:

• D-Rank: The starting state of the Shikiryu's Dragon Seed. This is where each clan member will start and it allows them to ingest a single oncoming jutsu of D-Rank or lower as long as it matches their primary element to increase dragon force. At this stage, chakra orbs can only be eaten every two posts, with eating incoming jutsu happening every four.
  
• C-Rank: The second level of the Dragon Seed. This is attainable at D-Rank with the user training it for 2,500 words and paying 350 ryo. This allows the Shikiryu to ingest a single jutsu of C-Rank or two Jutsu of D-Rank or lower, as long as it matches their primary element. The jutsu may be eaten every four posts, while chakra orbs may be eaten every two.
  
• B-Rank: The third level of Dragon Seed. This is attainable at C-Rank with the user training it for 4,500 words and paying 700 ryo. This allows the Shikiryu to ingest a single jutsu of B-Rank, two of C-Rank, or three of D-Rank or lower as long as it matches their primary element. Jutsu may now be eaten every three posts, while chakra orbs will remain at being eaten every two.
  
• A-Rank: The fourth level of Dragon Seed. This is attainable at B-Rank, with the user training it for 7,500 words and paying 1,500 ryo. This allows the Shikiryu to ingest two jutsu of A-Rank or B-Rank, three of C-Rank, or four of D-Rank or lower, as long as it matches their primary element. Jutsu may be eaten every two posts, and orbs may be eaten every two posts.
  
• S-Rank: The final level of Dragon Seed. This is attainable at A-Rank or higher, with the user training it for 10,000 words and paying 3,000 ryo. This allows the Shikiryu to ingest a Single S-Rank jutsu, two of A-Rank or B-Rank, four of C-Rank, or six of D-Rank and lower as long as it matches their primary element. Jutsu may be eaten every two posts, and orbs eaten every other post. This is the ultimate form of the Dragon Seed.
  

*As an added note, the ingested hostile jutsu will not cause damage to the Shikiryu eating said jutsu, as long as the jutsu is the same element as their Primary.

Drawbacks: The Shikiryu clan is as much a victim of their survival as they are a beneficiary of it. the mutations that had wrecked havoc on their clan for generations in the wastelands of distant nations had a potent effect on their psychological stability. As clan members escalate through the tiers of Dragon Force gaining its powers and raising higher, few could ignore the vulnerabilities they trade for raw power.

Dragon Madness:

• Tier 1: There is little negative effect during the first tier of dragon madness, though the user finds themselves overwhelmed by powerful emotion (Anger, sorrow, manic happiness), making it harder for them to focus on too many things. Temporarily giving them a -1 tier to perception.
  
  
• Tier 2: As more power is flown into their body enhancing their physical attributes the emotional effect increases in tandem, reducing their perception to all cues by another -1 and giving them the 'One Track Mind' Negative special characteristic. This effect stacks from tier 1.
  
  
• Tier 3 In this state, the clan member begins to feel completely overwhelmed by the dragon madness, retaining only the ability to utilize their primary specializations and elements. (they may still maintain techniques already active.) This effect stacks from tier 2.
  
  
• Tier Final: As power now overwhelms them entirely, the ninja enters a state of mania,
  barely able to distinguish friend from foe as they attempt little to control their power which flows freely from them, increasing the activation costs of all techniques by +5 charka. This effect stacks from tier 3.
  

Sealing Prone: Members of the Shikiryu clan are weak to the effects of Fuuinjutsu Sealing Techniques, which interract as a rank higher against Shikiryu clan members. Being hit by a fuuinjutsu technique of B rank or higher will have an immense effect on their chakra, removing any and all tiers of Dragon-Force in a spectacular fashion, putting the Shikiryu immediately into Dragon Madness relevant to the tier of dragon force they had attained.

Bad Appetite: Should a member of Shikiryu decide to ingest jutsu of a chakra nature different than their primary, they will still earn a tier towards dragon force, though they will suffer -1 tier in endurance as well as the opposite of their element gaining +1 in efficiency against them. IE: Doton specialized Shikiryu will take +1 rank of damage from Raiton jutsu. This effect is stacking.

Cost of Cannibalism: Being chakra cannibals, the Shikiryu have stunted their chakra growth, receiving a permanent -20 reduction to their chakra pool as a consequence of feeding upon their own chakra.
