Izumi
A-rank
Izumi hadn't much personal business these days in the ruins of her former home. She'd been so busy with causing havoc among the ranks of the foreign agents acting on the wind country that she hadn't had time to track down one of her old friends. She considered him a friend but funny enough she never learned his name, knowing him only as the Jackal. The man was a sage of some canine creature, seemingly a coyote with white fur. It was a thing of beauty and he even gave her a really cool coat. Izumi had been gathering information about where she might find him during her operations, one couldn't simply ask around for a kingpin without drawing too much attention. So naturally, many of the people she'd heard whispers from wouldn't be telling their tales any time soon. Izumi undertook this personal mission in the dead of night. It would be a disaster if she were to be recognized by someone she didn't intend to recognize her. After all, Izumi Karisuma wasn't supposed to be here, she was supposed to be in Kumo. Instead there would be whispers of a masked woman who wasn't everything she claimed to be. The Karisuma may not even be recognizable to the Jackal, she was much older now and had dyed her hair black the only reminder of her fiery hair being the crimson highlights that speckled her raven coloured head.
There were of course other elements that someone who'd known her could pick up on, her blue eyes hadn't changed for one, and for the Jackal specifically he'd notice she was wearing his luxurious fur lined jacket. Izumi wasn't ashamed to admit that she'd grown attached to it. Not only had a man she considered a mentor given it to her, it also served as a kind reminder of her home; a simpler time when all she had to worry about was preparing for the exams. Still, she was excited to see him again maybe she'd even have a chance to show off how far she'd come. Izumi commonly thought back on her training with the Jackal with a light hearted giggle at what a bitch she'd been in her teenage years. Sure, her personality could still do with some more warmth but it was far from the misguided hatred of her adolescence. Izumi wasn't going in disguise on this night, hoping that the man would recognize her and welcome her. Nova as always followed like a shadow, hobbling along with Izumi as best she could as the Karisuma marched towards where she was told she'd find the man that she was seeking. It was a nice change of pace to have some personal time. Izumi would regale Nova with her tales of her time with the Jackal telling her about the time when she tried to burn down his bar and he repaid the gesture with throwing her through some barstools and into the bar counter, this memory in particular would have Izumi uncharacteristically animated with laughter.
Finally having arrived in the small hamlet that was rumored to be his current home. Izumi would knock on the first door she found and requested of the man who answered that one of the Cat's kittens was here to see the Jackal.
