On a side of a hill filled with assorted greenery, lay but a single figure clad in a long sleeved coat, arms crossed over each other as his head gently nestled between them, on his back gazing at the nearly crystal blue sky above. There was a gentle breeze, the altocumulus clouds carried by the wind appeared as if they were a flock of birds dancing within the air, Mokuzai took a deep breath in while reveling in the peaceful solace this day provided.
However in this world of shinobi, thieves, and rogue's constantly raging battle against one another nothing peaceful ever lasted, time and time again the young Senju was either forced to kill or threaten in order to complete his missions, where did the madness end? How much blood would be spilled before it was all over? There was no real answer, perhaps there never was.
Just as he finished that thought he remembered, long ago there was a shinobi born of misfortune, hated and forsaken by his own village yet rose to power with sheer dedication and effort, and then issued a era of peace that lasted for awhile then came to a close upon his death. Was it possible to return to those days? Could one man be the sole reason for such peaceful time's? As he asked himself these questions, the answers seem to drift further away, but one thing was clear that nobody could change the world solely on their own and needed enough allies to make a difference.
The piercing sound of a hawk's cry would bring him back out of his reverie, the soaring bird flying above him would drop but a single scroll directly down upon him, he would swing up his left hand in response to catch it within his grasp. He now switched from his relaxed position to sit half way up, glancing at the seal placed on it's center he easily recognized it as a mission summon from the administration board given at time's of emergency.
He undid the tied not and unrolled the scroll so he could read it's contents, it was a Chunin ranked mission and one he had done before, he was to be sent to a smaller village within the borders of the land of water with a assigned gennin as his partner where they would subdue a group of bandits terrorizing a smaller village for fortune's and supplies. Simple enough, he simply re-rolled the scroll and placed it in his red pouch placed on his right leg as he proceeded to stand up, making sure to stretch to avoid muscle cramp up's while loosening his body for the mission he was now about to partake, hopefully the gennin was not to ill-mannered or this would be a long day.
Now that his body was more relaxed, Mokuzai crouched down before leaping high into the air, on his way back home to prepare for the mission and then onward to meet his partner for the task ahead of them.
