Missions requested by Daremo:
- Guanyin Plot [TBD]
- Pestilence Plot [WIP]
- C Rank - The Haunting Cold (Repeatable):
Mission name: The Haunting Cold
Mission rank: C
Objective: Get rid of the haunting spectres
Location: Any
Reward: 300 ryo
Mission Description: An influential presence is aware of your existence and desires to see it extinguished.
Mission Details: 1500 wc
Not all proud warriors find rest in death. Many linger in the Otherworld in hopes to find a second chance to redeem themselves for their failure in defeating their enemies. A greater soul has granted them that chance, sending them out to take you down. Disperse the handful (5) spectres before they take away the warmth of your life.
Name: Spectre Warrior
Age: ??
General Appearance: [x]
Personality: Deranged, driven, relentless, undead.
Goals: Relive the past and slay the opponent in hopes to finally find peace.
Abilities:
C-0 stats across the board
B rank bukijutsu, B rank Hyouton, Fuuton, Suiton
Physical attacks have their damage reduced by 1 rank.
Items: B rank spectre blade. The cold emanating from this blade leaves major 1st degree frostburn wounds behind upon contact. It can't be parried by non-chakra infused weapons.
- B Rank - Revenant (Repeatable):
Mission name: Revenant
Mission rank: B
Objective: Get rid of the haunting spectres
Location: Any
Reward: 500 ryo
Mission Description: An influential presence is aware of your existence and desires to see it extinguished.
Mission Details: 2500 wc
Stronger than mere spectres, whatever presence is out to snuff your life has send in heavier units this time. Revenants, while far and few in existence, never truly die. Upon dispersion, it is only a matter of time before they return to existence where they were dispersed. Being good fighters and eternally bound to return to the battlefield, these creatures are easily one of the most dangerous spirits the Otherworld knows. Two spectres have found you this time. Defeat them (for now...) and continue on your road.
Name: Revenant Wraith
Age: ??
General Appearance: [x]
Personality: Deranged, driven, relentless, undead.
Goals: Revenant - "a person who has returned". Some spectres simply do not seek salvation nor death. They simply are, their only desire to remain and return. Over. And over. And over again.
Abilities:
Strength: B-3, Endurance: B-2, Speed: B-0, Perception: B-0, Reaction: B-2
A rank bukijutsu, fuinjutsu. A rank Hyouton, Fuuton, Suiton
Physical attacks have their damage reduced by 1 rank.
Items: A rank spectre blade. The cold emanating from this blade leaves major 2nd degree frostburn wounds behind upon contact. It can't be parried by non-chakra infused weapons.
- B Rank - Breath of Winter (One-Time):
Mission name: Breath of Winter
Mission rank: B
Objective: One of the Sourcerer of Pestilence's minions cursed you. Find her and undo the curse you're suffering from.
Location: Any
Reward: 500 ryo
Mission Description: Every participant has been cursed and suffers a growing sickness that imposes a -1 tier penalty to their stats across the board, as well as limiting them in using jutsu - they only have access to techniques up to their own shinobi rank (B rank shinobi can use up to B rank jutsu). How or when this curse was applied remains the question, but the chakra used for this leaves no doubt - only one person in the underground is known to deal in the arts of vodun to such a degree: Nimhain. Track her down and force her to undo the curse that debilitates you.
Successfully removing the curse requires one to do one of the following:
- Persuade Nimhain to undo the ritual
- Kill Nimhain, but have jutsu of a rank higher than your shinobi rank be sealed permanently.
Mission Details: 2500 wc
The curse came into existence since Nimhain is in possession of your DNA, given to her by attackers, thieves, messengers... Through a dark and taxing ritual, an effigy has been combined with that DNA, Nimhain's chakra and her own Hiden jutsu, causing the curse to grab hold of you until undone.
Hidden in a dark alcove, Nimhain is not easily found. Aside from having to navigate the black market, one will be dissuaded from reaching her on several occasions - kindly, or with force (a total of 5 people, B-0 stats). Should the shinobi surpass this, they will need B-0 perception and Genjutsu Kai (or an appropriate sensory technique) to dispel the chakra that hides her alcove from sight.
Name: Yobadashi Niamhain
Age: 63
General Appearance: [x]
Personality: Niamhain is an older woman who enjoys her art to its fullest rather than being inherently evil. For the right price, she performs vodun rituals on a target of choice to either grant them boons or make them suffer ill fortune. Her old age makes her unfit for combat, so despite having B-0 stats she is not inclined to pursue such a path. However, old women are stubborn and know what they want. Indulge her request and she'll undo the curse without complaint.
Goals: Doing her job :3
Abilities: A rank Ninjutsu, Fuinjutsu & Iryojutsu
Items: A ritualistic dagger, plenty of needles and effigies.
- B Rank - Gate to the Otherworld (One-Time):
Mission name: Gate to the Otherworld
Mission rank: B
Objective: Open the Gate to the Otherworld
Location: Any wilderness
Reward: 500 ryo
Mission Description: Circles of standing stones have always kindled the imagination of visitors, but occultists know that the silent thrum of their natural chakra is actually the dormant pathway to the Otherworld. Unfortunately, lost are the secrets to open this Gate. Through meditation you must rediscover the Seals and unseal the gate that allows the living into the Otherworld.
Mission Details: 2500 wc, requires B+ rank Fuinjutsu to Unseal
While the Fuinjutsu Specialist meditates to discover the lost Seals, he will be assaulted by spectres that will try to prevent him from maintaining his meditation. Each round, five spectres will appear to disturb the meditation. While clones may be a temporary solution, having a couple of battle-ready friends might be even better.
Name: Spectre Warrior
Age: ??
General Appearance: [x]
Personality: Deranged, driven, relentless, undead.
Goals: Relive the past and slay the opponent in hopes to finally find peace.
Abilities:
C-0 stats across the board
B rank bukijutsu, B rank Hyouton, Fuuton, Suiton

Items: B rank spectre blade. The cold emanating from this blade leaves major 1st degree frostburn wounds behind upon contact. It can't be parried by non-chakra infused weapons.

Mission name: The Headless Horseman
Mission rank: A
Objective: A powerful Otherworldly knight challenges you to a duel.
Location: Any
Reward: 1000 ryo
Mission Description: The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse are quite well known. Few know that the Horsemen have been defeated and replaced several times throughout time. Those former/defeated Horsemen now roam the Otherworld in search of the crown they once wore as a testament of their power. Anyone they suspect sharing a similar quest gets challenged for a duel to the death.
Mission Details: 3500 wc
Name: Headless Horseman
Age: ??
General Appearance: [x]
Personality: Powerful, driven, corrupt.
Goals: Reclaim their former position as one of the Four Horsemen
Abilities:
Strength: S-0, Endurance: S-0, Speed: S-3, Perception: A-0, Reaction: S-0
S rank ninjutsu, bukijutsu, taijutsu. S rank raiton, katon, doton, fuuton.

- A Rank - We are Legion (Repeatable):
Mission name: We are Legion
Mission rank: A
Objective: Get through the masses
Location: Any
Reward: 1000 ryo
Mission Description: If you thought facing spectres in the world of the living was bad, you've seen nothing yet. The Otherworld is much like the Living world. A world where spirits dwell, a mimic-mockery of the Living world. The strong rule the weak, the powerful command the lesser. As you draw closer to the Source that seeks to destroy you, you begin to understand how influential this being truly is.
Mission Details: 3500 wc
The masses of spectres is not as organised as a band of samurai or a collective of shinobi but that doesn't mean their power is any lesser. The participants will be assaults by fifty (50) spectre warriors, twenty (20) revenant wraiths and two (2) Legion generals. Defeat as many as needed to impose your superiority, but do know 'fear' is not a word written in their dictionary!

S rank ninjutsu, bukijutsu & genjutsu. S rank raiton.
Physical attacks have their damage reduced by 1 rank.
Items: Five B rank ethereal spears. Aligned to Yin-raiton chakra, these spears sear through flesh and crack bone as life itself burns away upon contact. Created from pure Otherworld energy, anything not-infused with chakra is unable to stop these weapons. In addition, each of these spears vanish at the end of the round they were thrown and return to their owner at the beginning of their next round.
- S Rank - Taking the Crown of Pestilence (One-Time):
Mission name: Taking the Crown of Pestilence
Mission rank: S
Objective: Destroy Zarazal and take the title of 'Source of Pestilence' for yourself.
Location: Any
Reward: 2000 ryo
Mission Description: Don't you understand the slow decay caused by pestilence is a form of art to cherish? Obviously... you don't. Zarazal is tired of you meddling with his affairs and has finally decided to deal with you personally. Finding him in the Otherworld, the Sourcerer of Pestilence awaits you in his own throne room, the heart of his operations.
Mission Details: Requires 5000 wc to complete.
The throne room of Zalazar is as cold as himself ([x]. It boasts plenty of space for a proper duel, the architecture beautiful despite the lifeless environment of the Otherworld it is located in. Zalazar himself sits on an onyx throne, the black glass-like construct symbolising the empty shells of those mortals destroyed from within by his beautiful infectious arts. Before him stands an altar that serves as his think table and workshop, the shelves hidden by the white cloth harbouring dozens of vials with different experimental diseases. Before you may fight him, he will send in his five Vassals to deal with you. Should you survive their necrotic touch, then... and only then... will Zalazar consider you worthy to be destroyed by his hands.
Name: Zarazal, Sourcerer of Pestilence
Age: ??
General Appearance: [x]
Personality: Cold, morbid. Most of the time he doesn't bother with 'mortals' as he continues to develop new means and magics to spread pestilence. When not working on evolution of pestilence, he is observing his masterwork lay waste to villages as they creep onto the frailties of humanity, slowly but steadily devouring life. Zarazal is considered the source of the Black Plague, and profiles as a sorcerer - hence, Sourcerer.
Goals: Finding the ultimate evolving disease to lay waste upon all life
Abilities:
Strength: S-0, Endurance: SS-0, Speed: S-0, Perception: S-3, Reaction: S-3
S rank ninjutsu, iryojutsu, bukijutsu & taijutsu. S rank doton, fuuton, suiton and raiton.
Items:
- A rank cloak "Shroud of Pestilence", a high quality cloak of shifting black hues with the ability to reduce the effectiveness of destructive Iryojutsu against him by 1 rank. The cloak comes with a fitting cowl for added mystery. A beautiful accessory.
- A rank naginata "Staff of the Ephemeral", serving both as a symbol of power and his preferred weapon of choice, the naginata slices through flesh and bone alike. A swift kind of death Zarazal generally avoids using as it ruins the effects of his devouring masterworks. The staff is able to boost a technique by 1 rank (2/thread).
- A rank pale horse "Marrow". A loyal mount whose fear has been killed since long. Afflicted by Zarazal's pestilence since birth, the horse looks emaciated despite its strength and endurance. It has a shady grey body, covered in bleak painting mimicking its skeleton much like it was "Dia de la Muerte". Has A rank stats across the board.
Name: Vassals of Pestilence
Age: ??
General Appearance: [x]
Personality: Devoted, Undead.
Goals: Protecting the true lord, striking down the usurpers, enforcing his dominance
Abilities:

S rank iryojutsu, bukijutsu & taijutsu. S rank doton, fuuton, suiton
Items:
- A rank heavy armour (negates C rank and below basic attacks, lowers damage from A/B rank basic attacks by one rank). The black coloured scale mails are remarkably light while offering great protection. They glisten with a sickening green shimmer.
- A rank two-handed sword, A rank one-handed sword & A rank shield. The swords are made of onyx, strengthened by the chakra running through them. If the ability to cut clean through flesh and bone doesn't suffice, the weapons are able to inflict necrosis on contact with their enemy.

B-ranks
- Boarding party:
Mission name: Boarding party
Mission rank: B
Objective: The ship you are on is boarding a hostile vessel.
Location: Any port/Open Sea

Mission Description:
There are two great things about being a sea dog: the first one is having a drinking party, the other one having a boarding party. As a crew member allocated to the latter, you'll be taking out the opponent forces that were bold to raise their weapons. But whatever trick you use, leave the ship whole. It needs to be looted once victory is assured.
Mission Details:
The opponents will be sending a total of 10 C rank crew members and 2 B rank crew member to deal with you - there are possibly more opponents, but the other members of your crew want something to play with as well. They have their own rank on Bukijutsu, wielding a variety of melee and ranged weapons (though axes, swords, sabres & cutlasses being the favourites).
- Shipwreck Salvaging:
Mission name: Shipwreck Salvaging
Mission rank: B

Location: Any port/Open sea
Reward: 500 ryo
Mission Description: On the bottom of the sea rests a shipwreck overgrown with algae, serving as a piece of decoration for the fishes that swim around there. You'll be lowered into the ocean with a diving bell but the inaccuracy of the map will require you to take a good swim nonetheless. Naturally, considering the different floors of the ship, the water current and the tightly shut doors, it will take time to swim through the various pieces of the wreck to explore everything.
Mission Details: A rebreather (locker item) or jutsu intended for underwater situations (breathing, moving...) will greatly help you here. While you are diving and exploring the wreck for possible treasures, you'll be attacked by a hungry shark with the following stats:
Str: B-2, Spd: B-2, End: B-0, Per: C-2, Rea: B-0
- Storm Ahoy!:
Mission name: Storm Ahoy!
Mission rank: B
Objective: Get your ship through the storm
Location: Any port/Open Sea
Reward: 500 ryo
Mission Description: Too late to avoid the storm, the ship you are on is caught off-guard. While the helmsman is trying his best to keep a safe course despite the weather, the sails must be reefed lest the canvas tears/is ripped off or the mast snaps in case they don't, cargo must be bound solidly, doors must be shut tight. The damage the storm inflicts will require men to pump out water and repair damage as good as possible against the strong current that runs in. At all times, every crew members on deck suffers the risk of being blown off deck or being washed away as giant waves sweep over deck, so some courage and heroism might be needed to save a sea dog or two.
Mission Details:
The storm imposes a -2 tier perception penalty to all participants at all times, and all those not in a 3m radius of someone else is to be considered deaf for speech by the sheer noise of the sea and storm if they don't have a ways to get their voice through. Additionally, the cold winds, the clattering rain and the slippery deck are working on your physique, lowering your endurance and reaction time by 1 tier (stackable) starting on the third post.
A-ranks
- #Ship-Rekt:
Mission name: #Ship-Rekt
Mission rank: A
Objective: Survive a lost battle at sea!
Location: Any port
Reward: 1000 ryo
Mission Description: You find your ship (and yourself) assaulted by an impressive naval force (enemy Villages/pirates) at night, fighting a losing battle. The enemy easily counts double the ship firepower and troops to board yours, but you're not about to give in just yet. Before your ship will be sent to the bottom of the ocean, inflict as much damage as you can do, find a means to survive and return to land to deliver your report!
Mission Details:
Your ship is attacked by a fleet. Two ships will board yours, flanking you from both sides. Their firepower will be sufficient to cripple your ship's sails in the first post, denying escape.
During the second and third post the cannons will inflict irreparable damage to the hull, causing the ocean's water to flood the lower deck and starting to pull down the ship. At the same time, two boarding parties will swoop in to wipe out as many of your crew as possible before sending them to the sharks. Take out as many as you can!
The fourth and fifth post, your burning ship will be sinking. In the fourth round, the boarding party will make their way back to their own ships as yours is slowly shifting towards a vertical position. By the fifth post, most if not all enemies will have returned and the ship will stand erect as a candle, burning brightly.
The sixth post, your ship disappears below the waters forever. If you weren't successful in your escape (imprisoned, infiltrated...), you'll be drifting on the sea for days. Maybe you'll drown. Maybe sharks will eat you. Maybe you'll wash ashore somewhere.

Your target will have its stats levelled to B-rank across the board before it frenzies and rampages through the streets to slay innocent civilians and cause destruction. Unfortunately, such beautiful hazards often attract the attention of unwanted 'heroes', forcing you to deal with a squad of C-2 stat shinobi and a B-0 stat team leader. Impose your superior evil powers upon them!

Godslayer (Quest) Missions
[Kumogakure Quest Missions]
The tyranny of the False God can't continue. Promises of peace and fathership have been forsaken in his search for power, his believers causing more trouble and damage than should be the case. While shinobi of Kumogakure are dutifully bound to follow his lead, the people quietly pray for salvation of the black storms that since cloud their hope. Will the clouds break as opposition rises?

D-RANKS
- A Night with Spiders:
Mission name: A Night with Spiders
Mission rank: D-rank
Objective: Survive the night!
Location: Spider Island | Kirigakure
Reward: 150 ryo
Mission Description: Spider Island is a dangerous place where its like-named inhabitants have a habit of hunting just about anything that sets foot within their territory. While taking down vast amounts of spiders sure sounds like a heroic feat, your lesson is not one of heroics but of basic survival: finding a safe place, foraging for food in a dead region and think preventively rather than destructively.
Mission Details: 750 words.
The worst you might face is arachnophobia, for little spiders don't pose that much of a threat.
- Building Bridges:
Mission name: Building Bridges
Mission rank: D-rank
Objective: Repair the bridge between Kiri's mainland and Spider Island
Location: Spider Island | Kirigakure
Reward: 150 ryo
Mission Description: A single bridge connects Osada Island with the main land of Kirigakure. It's a long bridge made of sturdy ropes and solid planks but the persistent assault of the surrounding wind and water requires someone to replace the weakened parts of the bridge. You, in other words.
Mission Details: 750 words.
The worst you might face is arachnophobia or aquaphobia.
- Paint the Torii Gate:
Mission name: Paint the Torii Gate

- Stealth: with the help of B+ rank stealth, it is possible to limit the combat interactions to 3 or 6 members through swift ambushing. Doing so denies the raising of an alarm and maintains the covert options shinobi active in Chiharu appreciate.
- Brutal: without the proper stealth, engaging even one group raises the alarm and calls the remaining members to intervene. While these are spread and won't appear all at once, it may make the mission considerably harder considering their skill.
- Sabotage:

However, the machinery section is protected by a B-rank crew member with B-2 stats across the board. They wield A-rank skill in ninjutsu, kugutsu and taijutsu, as well as earth, fire and steel release. Taking them out will be required if you wish to work on the machines without opposition.
