Long ago in a time long since forgotten there were several great clans in the village of Kirigakure, from the Kōri Clan who showed great prowess with their exceptional use of water in ways unique to them, the method of forming ice as well as snow made them a force to be reckoned with. The hoshigaki clan with their unique traits and ability to use rather abnormal weapons as well made it clear that they were masters over the ocean. However there was no room for a third as their clan was being picked off and taken out through methods which had long become undisclosed and forgotten as they fled their homeland across the oceans. Many died from exhaustion, some died from drowning and others simply took their own lives having given up all hope of finding a new home.

However one proud leader never gave up and promised them that they had hope, the hope of a new life in the village of Konoha. Upon reaching the village they discovered far too late that Konoha and Kiri being allies meant this was also no home for them. Their dwindling numbers as their leader advocated for peace and refuge fell on deaf ears. It was then that that met with a mysterious man who simply did not care about his village or the policies it held. He offered them refuge in exchange for subjecting some to vile experiments. The leader spoke with his people and they agreed realizing they had no choice.

So this they were lead away to the promised land far from their home lands, far from the water they loved and so they discovered their new home Sunagakure.

The experiments seemed inhumane, but they deemed it a needed sacrifice as it was better losing a few to accidents then to go to war with both Kirigakure who were pretty much under the influence of the Kori clan who had seemed to maintain some for of dominance over the village itself. Meanwhile the clan developed their abilities further, their natural ability to use water to its fullest came in handy as they were imbued with unique prowess. Their eyes always had a unique blue look to them, and it was the leader who having not been all too wise discovered the unique technique of their clan. The legendary eyes of the ocean.

After learning of this the leader worked hard to have the best he could and so he met with the mad man, or their original benefactor as they spoke it seemed the man already knew about it, but said that he had come from a village where special eyes were not so special to begin with so he just was not interested. The leader asked if they could improve on their eyes and if he could gain further knowledge on this as the man replied, this is a doujutsu and as far as i can tell if you want my help I can improve your clan. The village elders met to decide the outcome and so they all agreed once more since they needed power, not to regain their homeland, not to conquer the world, but for their survival they would undergo special training with not only their eyes but their bodies as well.

E-Rank - They are born with unique bluish eyes which come in various ocean style colors.
At this rank the eyes simply look nice and they are unaffected by natural water pressure

Nagi no Mai (Dance of the Serpent)
This refers to their basic taijutsu, they are able to fight in water unhindered due to their unique style of movement and the way the water flows around their body. They also maintain normal speeds when in water and suffer no drawbacks from their own water techniques or ordinary water. Enemy techniques that are actively using water may still affect them.

Their combat style is to go with the flow, like water does which requires them to perceive their opponents very carefully. Therefor their taijutsu stat gain is always either Perception, Reaction Time or a combination of the two, they may not choose any other stat for their taijutsu stat gain.


Drawbacks: The clan may only start with suiton element as primary, their secondary must be learned and trained
They start with taijutsu as primary at D-rank, their secondary must be learned.
All taijutsu training words are reduced by twenty percent
All non-taijutsu specializations require twenty percent more words
All jutsu that are not pure Suiton element require ten percent more words to train.
The user's maximum level jutsu must be comprised of fifty percent pure Suiton Element
The user's jutsu list must always contain fifty percent or more of pure Suiton Element techniques
The user may not learn the Katon element
The user loses one tier to speed when approaching fire
They may not learn a forth element and their third element has a twenty percent increase on training words
