Kisei
B-rank
Kisei regarded the slightly ashen and sanded room with distaste. While they were fairly certain that they hadn’t been raided while they were in the Kumogakure, the invasion of sand and spread of ash was hardly worth the trip. Sleepily the young Ushinatta skimmed through his collection of dust covered books. None of them really fit to keep at this point. Setting the ones he was bringing with him on the bed beside his clean clothes. This trip was such going to be such a pain.
It had originally been Alpha’s idea to move to one of the safer, and richer, villages after they returned home from the Chuunin exams. It had been a massive decision, to leave behind their home like none of it had mattered. The remaining residents, however few, were under constant threat of the general chaos of broken glass and dwindling resources, not to mention the bandit raids. Why they would want to raid a resourceless village like this one Kisei wouldn’t understand, but they did anyway. Another sigh. Reluctantly Kisei agreed to his brother’s plan, however they weren’t going to move. No. They were going to have a small ‘talk’ with the Hokage. He was prepared to march up to the Administrative building and beg the Hokage to help with the reconstruction of Sunagakure. Though if that didn’t work out he always had his umbrella, the pinwheel might be a bit obvious to the ANBU so he’d have to leave it in his scroll.
Kisei clenched his trembling fists, slowly releasing them with a huff. Not that Alpha had any idea of it, (he was just planning on requesting a small area to build his forge.) He didn’t want to ruin their chances of securing help from the Leaf Village but he didn’t know what else to do! How was he supposed to help these people, when all he did was lose?
The Ushinatta steeled himself when he heard the door creak open, the footsteps no doubt belonging to Alpha. He’s probably just checking up on my progress. Without turning back tioi his brother he continued to finish packing his supplies. “Don’t worry I’m almost done pa-!” Kisei was cut off by a sudden pressure on the back of his neck and before he knew what was happening the room was consumed by unconsciousness. It would be some time until he regained consciousness and it would be in the Land of Fire that he would read the note Alpha left for him, given to the young Ushinatta by a former colleague of his brother’s; back when they worked as ninja of the Sunagakure. As well as a half charred Bingo Book
Hiya there Kisei,
Or rather goodbye. First off, before you start worrying about my safety, don’t, I’m perfectly fine. Second I want to apologize to you for the Switch I pulled on ya. I had planned to explain everything to you about what was going on from the raid of Syekren’s room and to the revelations of that jounin exhibition match. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you the guilt of the last one. However I encourage you to look in that bingo book Shouto gave you and think carefully on what Syekren said during our meeting.
But ignoring all of that for now I have a request for you: Please, I’m begging you, abandon the path of a ninja-
As soon as Kisei saw those words he crumbled up the paper and shoved it into one of the counter. He couldn’t waste any time with Alpha’s anti-ninja attitude, not when his brother himself served an active role in the village. How could he have the right to lecture him on not being a ninja? No, he wasn’t going to give up, not while he could still do something. Rolling out of bed he slipped into his clothes and arming his umbrella. “Now, where does one kind the Kage of this country I wonder?”
