Kannon
D-rank
“And that is the last of it.”, Kannon muttered to himself, watching as the last of his possessions were sealed up within a self-sealing scroll. Looking around the now empty room, making sure nothing was left behind. the young samurai thought about the reason behind the decision to move. Having only spent a few months in Kumogakure no Sato, he and his mother had thought the place would be safe for them. They thought no one from their homeland would come after them in fear of getting the attention of the current Raikage. However, they had forgotten how brazen some of the members were. There being a selected few who feared no shinobi of any rank, seeing them as a lesser sect of people. It was those people who managed to successfully enter the village, finding the hidden family and attacked them.
The fight itself was a blur for Kannon. He remembering only bits and pieces of the allocation. The feeling of being powerless to stop the group from attacking his mother. The fear of seeing her being surrounded by a group of men and women who all wanted to kill them all because who what they were held within them - a kekkai genkai. He remember feeling at awe while watching his mother use the Jiton release to it’s fullest capabilities, turning the samurais’ weapons against them. The first mist of blood spraying into the air, from when the men and women were forced to slice their own throats, would forever be etched into his memory. Who knew a body held so much blood?
At the time, his mother left one of their would be murders alive, a female, someone they used to know back in their homeland. Questions were asked on who ordered the attack, and answers were received. The answers being not what they wanted to hear, but, from the way his mother acted, suspected nevertheless. Once the information was received, the captured woman joined the rest of her dead comrades in whatever hell they went to. After the incident, his mother decided it was time to leave the village. The place not being as safe as previously thought. With that in mind, his mother sent out a message to a friend of hers who just moved to Iwagakure with her husband and children, after escaping the destruction of Suna. A conversation was ensured, and before long, the decision to move to Iwagakure no Sato was made.
“Kannon.”, Said teenager musing was snapped by the voice of his mother, head turning towards the door to see the woman in question standing there. “You ready?”, she asked, receiving a nod from him. Taking another look around the room, Kannon tied his two swords onto his person and slipped the sealing scroll into a hidden pocket within his kimono. “Yeah, I am ready.”, he spoke, walking after his mother, who had turned and was heading to the door.
The pair would not be traveling on foot, like most shinobis, but rather, catching a ride with a merchant caravan who was heading to their destination. They had gotten such method through agreeing to be the individual’s bodyguards, free of charge. Of course, such a good offer was taken up quickly with the merchant even offering to give them free food, since they were doing the job for free. With their mode of transportation in order, the only thing the mother and child had to do was to meet up with the merchant in front of the northern gates - which they just did.
It would take a few days before the two reached Iwagakure no Sato with the merchant thanking them for protecting his possessions throughout the journey. It being no trouble for the pair with there being little to any activity along the route.
