Clan Name: Ichinomiya [Ichinomiya Ichizoku - 一の宮一族]
Location: Scattered
Specialization: Ninjutsu [Primary or Tertiary] | Bukijutsu [Primary or Secondary] | Fuuinjutsu [Primary or Tertiary]
Elements: /
Clan History: Less of a clan and more an association of allied households and unrelated practitioners of the folklorist and exorcist arts, the Ichinomiya prefer to lead mostly quiet lives with little care or want for fame and fortune. While there are a few related families within the larger group, for the most part those that carry the Ichinomiya name are people that apprenticed under the masters of the clan; which for various reason take on the mantle of the name once they have completed their training. Those with the name treat their 'family' as a sort of guild or union, which they can rely on for things such as information, advice, and items related to their trade.
All members of this clan are adept, if not masters, of folklore and exorcism. Many take on the mantle of librarians, scribes, and similar day jobs, while spending much of their free time researching the supernatural; with the occasional trip to a haunted location for a cleansing ritual or sealing. While these jobs are few and far between in the current times, the clan remains dedicated to maintaining the legends and tales of the past, while protecting the world from the beasts and monsters that cause problems.
While steadfast in their overall neutrality, there has never been any standing clan-wide ban on members showing some sort of affiliation for any nation or organization, so long as they do not neglect their clan-based duties. As such, members of that clan had taken to creating outposts and 'temple's, of a sort, in the various countries and regions of the world. These places usually took the form of literal temples, otherwise as libraries or schools of various types and specializations. It was due to the tendency that the clan was forced to take note of a more... recent, event in the history of the world. The destruction of Suna in recent times has dealt a rather harsh blow to the clan; with several affiliate temples and clan outposts within the city and region being destroyed in the cross-fire. This has lead to a rather... nasty, backlash within the upper echelons; many high priests and clan heads lost heirs in this event, and the sheer loss of knowledge is enough to turn the stomachs of even the youngest acolytes. However, the clan still maintains their neutral stance, keeping opinion tightly held and taking no actions in regards to these events, beyond attempting to salvage what they could from their shattered homes and properties before fleeing the region for their own safety.
Members: Ichiniomiya, Haruka
Kekkei Genkai Name: Folkloristic Arts [Minzokugakujutsu - 民俗学術]
Kekkei Genkai Description: While not a true 'Ninja Art', the Minzokugakujutsu of the Ichinomiya clan is a rather potent skill, when used by a trained adept of the art. Less about combat and more about understanding what lies beyond the veil of the physical world; Ichinomiya members focus on the 'heady' subjects of ninja arts; Fuuinjutsu especially is a common point of focus due to it's ability to affect that which has no physical form. Folkloristic jutsu focus on the spiritual aspect of the world, and as such are very Yin in nature; leading the few clansmen that lend toward Ninja Arts to have a proficiency toward the Yin aspects of chakra and ninja life. Clan members that start with Fuuinjutsu as their primary are able to use the art ONE rank higher than they normally would for their own rank, and the jutsu cost one rank less worth of chakra [minimum D-rank costs]. Fuuinjutsu up to A-rank also take one less turn than normal to cooldown [minimum cooldown of 1 post.]
Drawbacks: While the clan is encouraged to take up the usage of a weapon of some sort; usually that of a staff or sacred object; the clan's focus on the Yin nature of the world leaves them weak to the Yang, or Physical aspects. As such, the clan takes a permenant -1 tier to Endurence and Strength at all times, which cannot be superceeded by normal items or training. The clan also takes the following Negative SC, which cannot be counterbalanced and must exist ontop of any other SCs that the character takes:
Name: Hesitant (Element)
Type: Negative
Description: This person has a comfort zone that he/she doesn't like to venture out of. Learning a new field of techniques can be scary, and this ninja puts it off, or ignores it entirely. This individual cannot have a fourth element, and can only learn their tertiary element at Jounin rank. (this is a clan drawback and cannot be counterbalanced.)

This is due to the ephemeral nature of their studies, they focus on the world beyond the physical to the point that they almost lose their connection to the physical world in a way; which seems to act as a limiter on their ability to effect and control aspects of said physical world.
