With a sigh Demi fell backwards, landing on her bed, causing the sheets and blankets to poof up around her small form for a moment. "I'm so bored.", she muttered to no one in particular given that the room was entirely hers and hers alone. That's what happened when you traveled by yourself, you got benefits like not having to share a room. Not that she would've been willing to share a room anyway, even if she had come with someone else. But, whatever. That was a discussion left for another time.
She turned her head to the side, staring across the rather large room to the chair that sat by the door; the same chair her plushie happened to be sitting upon, positioned as if it were sitting there comfortably. "Flynn, what ever shall we do today? I feel the need to be productive." Her violet colored stare remained on the plushie for a moment before a grin spread across her face and she nodded vigorously. "That's exactly what we'll do! We'll train!" With an excited squeal she jumped up and out of her bed, sprinting to the bathroom, removing one piece of clothing after another on her way and almost face planting as she tried removing her overly long socks; leaving a trail of clothing from her bed to her bathroom door.
The sound of a shower being turned on would follow, complete with steam quickly forming and coming billowing out of the open doorway. Yeah, she liked her showers extremely hot. A content sigh followed as she quickly shampooed and conditioned her hair, and then washed herself off, all with unscented soaps. A quick towel dry later and she walked back into the bedroom portion of her room, towel wrapped around herself and almost dragging the floor as she walked; long towels were awesome. She wandered over to her bag, pulling out the only other outfit she had decided to bring, an exact replica of the one she was wearing previously, only blue and black in color this time. She dressed rather quickly, devoid of the near face plant this time as she took up residence on the edge of the bed for support. Finally dressed she hastily towel dried her hair off and threw it up into a messy bun to keep it up and off of her shoulders, and to keep it from dripping all over herself as it finished drying.
She looked over to the plushie as she stood up from the bed, moving towards it. "Where do you think is the best place to do some training around here, Flynn?" She picked the plushie up, once more pausing in speech as if she were expecting some sort of an answer back. Which, she obviously got in some form or fashion as she nodded her head as if she were agreeing with whatever it was the plushie had responded back to her with. "You're right, but we'll have to be careful not to go too far in. Don't want to get lost.. that would be embarrassing." Slipping into her usual panda eared coat she slipped the plushie into its usual inside pocket and then grabbed the room key and slipped it into another pocket before taking off, double checking to make sure the door automatically locked itself behind her.
She wandered through the village slowly, taking time once more to look at the things around her, as she moved her way to the forest. Forests always made perfect places to train, not a lot of people, and loads of space. Girl couldn't ask for much more... at least not one set on training themselves to perfection like Demi was. It took a while for her to finally break free from the village and to the forest, her too easily distracted mood ever present at the moment. "Focus, Demi.", she scolded herself in a harsh whisper.
As she wandered about, searching for a perfectly open space, she scanned the area with her violet colored gaze, head tilting from time to time in curiosity. She mumbled a bit to no one in particular about the varying sides and shapes of the clearings she came upon; they were either too narrow, too small, or too oddly shaped for her liking. She was being a perfectionist today, and she knew it. She wanted a perfect circle of a clearing, and would settle for nothing less. Therefore, it took her a good hour and a half to find exactly what she was looking for. It was slightly smaller than what she was hoping for, but at least it was almost a perfect circle. And it looked as if no one had been here before her. 'It's my spot then.', she mentally told herself, childishly. She stopped the mental ramblings before they started, not able to afford to become distracted at this point. She had pressing matters to attend to, and needed to keep the right thought process around herself.
After walking around the perimeter of the circle to get to know it in a more intimate manner she looked to the sky, using the sun to judge how much more daylight she had to work with. "I've got a good while, I'm sure I'll need it.", she muttered out loud. She reached into her jacket, searching for something inside of it. It took but a moment before she withdrew her hand, a small plushie that was a mixture between a wolf and a tiger held firmly in her grasp. She smiled down at the thing, tilting her head a bit and just staring at it in an almost loving fashion before she carefully removed her coat; making sure the entire time that she didn't drop the small thing within her hand. She laid her coat out on a nearby large rock, and then in a comfortable manner tucked the plushie into it, leaving only its head sticking out; as if she were making sure it could still see her.
"You stay right there and watch me, kay? Tell me if you think there's something I can improve on.", she muttered towards the plushie before straightening herself back up. She walked in an almost lazy fashion to the center of the clearing, spinning in a circle slowly, violet gaze looking for the target of her training. Ah, yes. A large tree stood on the opposite side of the rock she'd placed her things upon, and it would do perfectly for whatever she had to throw at it.
She took a deep breath in and exhaled, while staring at the target. She mentally went over how she wanted to go about this. She had a few ninjutsu techniques up her sleeve, but she could definitely use some improvement... So that's what she was going to do; use the techniques she knew to better train herself, all while killing two birds with one stone and improving herself with them. Simple. To the point. Doable. Perfect.
"I might as well start with the hand seals I use. If I get faster with those than I can use my jutsu faster. Makes sense..", she mumbled to herself. She took a slightly wide legged stance, perfecting herself for some good balance without having to concentrate on it. She placed her hands in front of her, going through the hand seals she used without putting any chakra into them. Over and over again she practiced. Bird. Boar. Dog. Dragon. Ox. Tiger. Serpent. Rat. Horse. Monkey. Hare. Ram. Over and over again she repeated each and every one, naming them in her head as she went so. After so long of the same order she started to do them backwards, repeatedly. Ram. Hare. Monkey. Horse. Rat. Serpent. Tiger. Ox. Dragon. Dog. Boar. Bird. She made a game out of it. Going backwards, and then forwards. Ten times over again this way, then ten times over again that way.
When that became too easy she started to mix them up. Ram. Bird. Hare. Boar. Monkey. Dog. Horse. Dragon. Rat. Ox. Serpent. Tiger. Again and again. Sometimes she even looped around. Or she skipped some, going every other one only to double back and do the ones she missed. Over and over again, until finally, her hands just couldn't take it anymore. They throbbed from the pain, joints cracking when she tried to move her fingers. Leaving her no choice but to stop, for now.
She wandered herself back over to the plushie and her coat. She scooted both to the side so that she had enough room to sit herself down too, and then proceeded to do so. She stared up at the sky for a moment, gently moving her fingers into a fist and then back out straight, repeatedly. They just felt so sore from all of that. But, she knew soon she'd have to fight through the pain for the next phase of the training. Looking down at her plushie she gave a smile, pausing in her hand exercises long enough to pick the plush up and hug it tightly to her chest. "My hands are so sore, Flynn. But, I must press on if I'm to get better. No pain, no gain, right?", with that said she placed the plushie back down, tucking it into the coat once more to have only its head sticking out. "Watch me closely, you might learn something new."
She pushed herself up and way from the rock gently, taking a moment to stretch long and hard, spreading her fingers wide as her arms reached up over her head. With a satisfied groan she finished and then proceeded to walk back into the center of the clearing. She took another moment to glance around, mentally figuring on what she should do next. She knew she wasn't as fast as she could be with her hand seals, and she really wanted to practice them some more, but her fingers still hurt badly from doing them over and over again. With a sigh, and a deep breath and a exhale, she squared her shoulders. "Demi, if you don't fight through the pain then you'll never get anywhere with yourself. Quit being a baby and just get to it.", she spoke out loud, pep talking herself into doing the hand exercises all over again.
Once more she went with the hand seals; Bird. Boar. Dog. Dragon. Ox. Tiger. Serpent. Rat. Horse. Monkey. Hare. Ram. 'Faster! Faster!' she chanted to herself in her mind. Over and over again she went until finally, barely able to move her fingers anymore she stopped. "Okay, I think we're good on that.. now, to add some chakra and use actual ninjutsu.", she muttered to herself, entirely focused on. She figured she might as well practice with one of the jutsu she already knew. Something that wouldn't be overly complicated but that she could be improved with her ninjutsu skill.
After so much practice it was the work of not even a second for her hand to form the required hand seal for the jutsu she had in mind: Tiger. Her lips formed an O and she breathed out a continuous stream of chakra, which quickly took form of a flaming dragon. The dragon spread out, moving in a circle around the clearing before dissipating into nothingness, leaving only scorch marks behind from where it once was.
"Again, Demi.", she schooled herself. The hand sign formed again: Tiger. And she repeated the same steps as before, only this time she breathed out more the chakra, increasing the length of the dragon and the intensity of it. This dragon also left scorch marks around the trees and the surrounding ground as it moved in a circle around the clearing; though the marks were far worse this time around.
A third time, the hand seal, then the expulsion of chakra from her mouth, and the dragon roared to life, more detailed than before. It too moved across the circle of the clearing at 30 miles per hour, scorching everything in its path until the trees were no longer brown but black, and the leaves were all but gone off of them. The grass around the trees looked barren; dead.
With a content sigh she looked over to the plushie that still remained on the large boulder. "I think we're done for today, Flynn... we did good, did really good." She walked over to the plushie, placing her coat on first before, with aching hands, she slipped the plushie back inside, leaving only its head poking out. She paused before taking off, taking note of the mass amount of destruction she had left from her jutsu, an insane giggle escaping her in a child-like manner. "Makes me almost unable to wait to use this on someone, Flynn.", she muttered to the plushie as she finally took off, deciding to run back to the village, and her room, instead of walking.
