At a certain time of the year, the boundaries that separate the planes of existence weaken, causing the Impure World and the Middle Plane to converge for a short time. During this period, the playful spirits of the Otherworld choose to hold a festival for themselves to laugh and play and enjoy the opulence of the material world for a short while. This year, the spirits have opened up the festivities to humans and are allowing people from all over the world to experience their games and enjoy their festival season along side them. The festival itself is a bustling myriad of Yokai (other-worldly spirits) who have set up countless lights, games, stalls and festivities for everyone to participate in.

Characters from all over the world are permitted to travel to the Festival. The festival is free to travel to and from as you wish and does not require characters leave all threads in other regions to participate. The festival is strictly no kill, anyone caught killing or attempting to kill, maim, or seriously injure on festival grounds can be sure to face a terrible fate. The spirits only get one time a year to hold this festival and they don't want it ruined. The main festival forum may be used for all missions and threads that do not have a specific location designated.

Unlike past events, the Namahage Festival will operate with its own, unique reward system and currency in the form of tickets. These tickets are awarded for participation in virtually any area of the festival and may be exchanged for prizes at the Namahage Festival Ticket Prize Counter. In order to assist each member with keeping track of their own ticket totals, we have created a graphic Ticket Tracker to be added to the top of a member's signature for ease of access and visibility, the code for which may be found below. All Player Characters will be automatically awarded 10 tickets by simply posting a reply to this thread after having placed the Ticket Tracker at the top of their signature.
