Hello all, I was looking to make a character and I need help sorting through the clans... there are a lot. Anyone familiar with clans, can I ask, which clans would make a good Bukijutsu and Fuuinjutsu character. Preferably one I can use to swap between weapons without carrying all of them, so maybe a clan with self body seals to hold the weapons?

Hello and welcome to the site. At first the chosing of a village and a clan can be quite frustrating. There is a thread that has most of the clans summarized by village - here. Hope this helps.

Hello and welcome to saga. The link Kiriya gave is very helpful with going through the different clans. Although as far as body seals I read there was no official guidelines for that yet so if you were to use them and the rules got changed then you would have to redo any seals that the admins required.

Hi and welcome, you could always just make someone Undiscovered, its a not clan that lets you join a clan later, but comes with the drawback of like you needing to find said clan and have the correct stats so if you have any positives or negative characteristics it makes it harder to switch later, but that is an option as well if you can not find any current clan you like... either way good luck

Hey and welcome to Saga, Vexael :)

A good guide to get started is this one here [x]. It's not a 100% in line with the newest rulings (mainly missions), but most of it is still viable.

As for a list of clans, you can take a look at Saga's Clan Directory [x]. It's an old one, but Issei (Clan Mod) is currently working to update it. You should be able to find a few 'bukijutsu' or 'fuinjutsu' oriented clans with a simple ctrl+F search, though you could also search for a clan of which the KKG would greatly complement your idea rather than it focusing on buki/fuin - some clans allow free choice of specialisation.

Body seals, however, are, by mod standards A+ rank Fuinjutsu. So that's going to be something you'll only be able to have at later date, meaning you might have to rely on the Item Sealing Technique for quite a while or create a custom jutsu just for this option. On the other hand, ownership did request not to work with body seal jutsu as there are no clearly written out rules yet.

And lastly, chatbox is your friend if you need to find someone to help you give some answers. It's often filled with veterans and staff members alike that could help you or point you into the right direction. So don't hesitate to jump in and seek out some help.

Welcome to Saga first and foremost. As Airi has so warmly stated, you will have a good chance of learning what you need should you look at the clan directory and talk to our clan mod Issei. I can recommend a few bukijutsu clans if you would like to private message me for a list I have compiled. I can also tell you that clans such as Watanabe and Mitarashi give you full power with what you want to choose. Should you choose one of those clans, it's more in name than anything else and you're able to choose whichever elements and specs you want. While some others are more drawn to only using specific elements and such. It all comes down to how you'd like to play it. If you need anything, please do stop into the chatbox and have a chat with use while we're in there. You can usually tell the moderators or admins in chat by the "@" in their names.

I thank you all for helping me on my journey to making a character to RP with. I have been doing roleplaying things for quite some time since D&D. When I searched for a naruto Rp this was actually the first site and it seems that it is well regulated. The clan directory did help a lot, however, the choices are so vast let alone if I am unhappy with current ones it seems I can also make my own... which seems like fun. Uhhhh thanks once again!
