Mission:

The day was unlike any other.

Athough all had been quiet for the past few days, Ayakashi had been on edge for weeks, the Daimyo and his group seemed to have been easing off their attacks after the last little while, after Strafe and Ayakashi's 'attack' on the compound had dealt a serious dent to their forces' strength, it seemed that the great Zhuge was left thinking about his next move. One did not expect something so drastic to happen. In the darkness of the night, one of Ayakashi's ANBU black ops came to her in a rush, panic in her eyes as she charged into the Aiso complex where Ayakashi was laying on her back in her room. Slamming on the door came hurriedly as Ayakashi was up in a start. Racing to the door she beat her mother to the entrance as Ayakashi almost ripped the door from its hinges to see the panting Captain.

"Lady Mizukage... in Jin Provence... there's been an attack. Men and Women in red with a young girl leading them. A few of us barely got out... they took us by storm, it's not right, within moments we were all captured, only those on patrol around the outside weren't ensnared, and when they came to aid, they were devastated by her and her men. It's not right. I left to come to you directly."

Ayakashi scowled at the thought of such a bold move, Jin Provence was a larger town not too far away from Kirigakure no Sato itself. But the young girl in red was an immediate give-away. It was BaoBao Sanniang, probably the most energetic and zealous of the Daimyo's assassins, if she had hostages, she was definately trying to draw Ayakashi out... This was the last straw Something needed to be done about the Daimyos advisor and his men... not to mention the insecure state that such a vulnerable young Daimyo put her country in. There was no clear answer to the latter issue, but for now, Ayakashi would have to gear up for a serious assault on Jin Provence. She would advise the ninja before her to inform Sero Osada and tell him to bring the strongest and most trusted person he knows to Jin province to deal with the issue. The ANBU member agreed and added that he would also prep the ANBU to move out at haste.

"No!" Ayakashi ordered with a firm shout. "We will deal with this ourselves... these people are... dangerous. You're not to speak a word of this to anyone else, that's a direct order. Am I understood captain?" The man saluted in silence before rushing off to see to his orders. Stress overwhelmed Ayakashi in that instance as she began to think about what she needed to do, but it was that subtle cruel voice in her head that set her on the right course. Its really quite simple... you kill them all. Ayakashi nodded, the foreign whispers made sense, it was what needed to be done, even by standard kirigakure law in this case. Taking hostages and innocents under threat of death was an act of war against the country... and she could not stand for it... but the hostages needed to be saved.

Ayakashi would spend the next few moments gathering her belongings together and readying to go to war. She would gather all of her belongings, every weapon and every piece of armour in her arsenal and place them in their allocated spots, including the scrolls that belonged to the remaining few seven swords, just in case that she, or her allies would need them and their power on a temporary basis. Letting out a great sigh, she would place her mask on her face, and something... for a moment would seem to get stronger. Darkness would wrap around her eyes and face which seemed to almost act as a trigger to something deeper, something sinister within her. Emboldened by the sensation her nerves would steel as if someone else had taken the reigns... it felt re-assuring, like she didn't need to personally handle this matter, like she wasn't alone, like she was being reinforced.

Just outside of Jin provence is where Ayakashi would await the arrival of those who would come to aid her. Ayakashi's dark clothes blending in with the misty night as she would await any sign of Bao or her men. Though, one thing was certified, she could hear the wind cutting on a blade with every breeze, but not just one... many. The place was a labyrinth of Bao's wires, it was as if a great spider had spun their web throughout the entire village. Every tree surrounding it, every wall, every building every surface was intricately intertangled with webs at various angles but in such a manner that several main streets in the village were un-obstructed entirely. So it was, the Mizukage would wait, and hope for the best... it was really all she could do for now.

If this was to be Bao Sanniangs' last stand, she would ensure that she, nor any of her men, would leave here alive.

Sero

Sero

S-rank
Sero was in the process of reading another scroll on the fundamentals of Suiton. A small pen in his right hand altering where his opinions differed from that of the author. The man had faced his end during the bells war so a debate wasn't possible but still he found working his mind was becoming just as important as practicing with his weapons and focusing his chakra. His grey eyes taking in the thin page as he scrolled of the suiton chakra being a limiting source offensive capability in comparison to the others to be false. Even against an invulnerable opponent with skin like steel one could still drown the target. Suiton was what he considered one of the three great sources of chakra nature. It was all around them. Suiton, Doton and Fuuton were all chakra natures that could easily pull from the area around them regardless of where one was. Life could not be without all three. Air to breath, water to drink and dirt to grow crops and build homes. One had to wonder if Katon and raiton were nearly as important.

However Sero would stop his notes as he heard a whisper on the wind from the spiders. A messenger was speeding the direction of the manor. It was rare that he received messages anymore. His estate and those he trained there taking up a great deal of his time. Still he would set his pen down and rise from his seat. Moving to the doors leading to the balcony and opening them. Stepping out along the stone work and folding his pale hands in front of himself. Waiting there as he knew the ANBU would come straight to him. As he was his chakra was nothing difficult to spot. Still it would be a moment before the girl would arrive. It seemed she had official orders regarding some sort of hostage situation within the Jin province. His records seemed to recall having several special jounin stationed there. If they had been over run than he would need to be highly prepared. Perhaps it was time to finally use one of the two items his father had left him. This time not being the scythe.

Sero would also be told he needed to bring the strongest person he trusted. For a moment he paused at that. Not much in the world gave him pause but there were things to consider. There was only one person he trusted with the strength to attend such a mission. It was far too dangerous for Teru. However he was still not certain Nozomi would follow Ayakashi into battle. Or if she would follow him for that matter. Of the world he only considered her his friend. For the moment he would have to hold onto something he never invested in. Faith that Nozomi would not betray them. She was suited for a hostage situation and just as well equipped for a stealth mission as he was. A gifted hunter nin herself. He had to believe that bringing her would be of more benefit then hinderance. So he nodded after a moment of silence. Speaking in a cold tone.

"Inform Nozomi Himitsu to join us there. Keep the meeting private. Tell her to prepare for a full tactical assault. Requirements based on infiltration over direct assault. Do so quickly."

The ANBU would bow their head and question nothing as likely they did not know how thin relations were between Nozomi and Ayakashi. For now it could not be the foremost thought in Sero's mind. He needed to prepares. As soon as the ANBU left Sero would move from his room to the armory. Opening a chest within and collecting some old gear he had not used in some time. Slipping on his Hunter nin gear and as much of his ANBU gear he could combine it with. His ANBU mask on the back of his head and his hunter nin mask on his face. Quietly he would slip his long kunai onto his right shoulder. A pair of Wakizashi he sheathed on the chest of his vest while he placed a quiver of black arrows on the small of his back. He quietly put a katana on each hip and then a bastard sword over his left shoulder.Finished with his weaponry he collected a red cloak and slipped it on putting the hood up and fading from sight. Lastly he collected his A rank black bow and shifted to the road.

Sero would arrive to spot Ayakashi overlooking the outskirts of the town. It took him a moment but quickly he noticed fine lines through the air. Wires like spider threads decorating the area. His grey eyes took it in for a moment and noted how empty the area seemed to be. It had to be a trap. Still he would tap lightly on the wood of a tree near them to draw Ayakashi's attention to him. With his cloak on and gear on he made no sound and even she would have to be looking directly at him to notice him. Once she did though he would seem to snap into view for her. His camoflauge falling away. His words were nearly silent as he passed her a head set. Already set to his station.

"What is going on here?"

An ANBU sped towards Nozomi's residence, wasting no time after Sero sent them on their way. The mission was a very vital one, with direct orders from not only the Mizukage, but also one of the top shinobi in all of Kirigakure. If they thought that Nozomi Himitsu would be of some service, there were no questions to be had. She knew where Nozomi lived, the Jounin was a well known kunoichi in Kirigakure, and had for a long time spent a while training the Genin and Academy students of Kirigakure not far from her house. She'd gotten a place that was close to the training grounds in order to better travel to and from them with her gear. Perhaps the girl Nozomi had gotten strong enough to be able to hold her own in a situation that called for extreme difficulty, but the ANBU couldn't figure out how. After all, she had heard Nozomi had been exiled due to her lack of skill and ability from the Himitsu clan, one known for their prowess in combat. Perhaps the girl had found her own personal strength then.

The ANBU girl had arrived at Nozomi's place of residence, and failing to get any response from inside the house, even though her sensory jutsu revealed someone to be inside, decided that she couldn't just wait around while knocking, since it wasn't working. Kicking in the door, the ANBU rushed inside the house towards where she knew someone would be, and entered the room. Immediately upon entering, she was shocked to see the girl still asleep. Not for the fact that she was so exhausted to not hear the commotion, but more due to what she was wearing.

The truth of the matter was, most of the ANBU and Hunter-nin's identities were kept a secret, so as to ensure that nobody knew who could be one and to keep them safe, as well as to keep them from being picked off. That said, she hadn't known that Nozomi was a Hunter-nin Captain until that very moment. Nozomi hadn't changed her clothing from a mission she'd undergone, and so was still in her more well known Hunter-nin gear, minus the mask which laid beside her and the armor which was on the floor. Surprised for sure, but impressed, the girl shook Nozomi rather vigorously. "Nozomi, you need to wake up, it's incredibly urgent!"
-

Nozomi had spent most of her time back in Kirigakure sleeping, something she hadn't been able to do soundly in a long while. Her stay in Kumo was wracked with tense nights in which she couldn't actually let her guard down, so she'd had to sleep very lightly and often in uncomfortable situations. Beyond that, her travel back here wasn't exactly in the most comfortable of situations. That said, the Hunter-nin captain was in a heavy sleep when someone came and knocked on her door. So deep was the girl's sleep that she didn't even register the sound, which was a rarity. Nor did she hear the sound of her door being kicked in by the eager knocker who didn't want to waste any time.

Groggily, Nozomi's eyes slowly opened as she was woken up by the ANBU, who had a very serious look on her face. Almost immediately, Nozomi's mind snapped back to full alertness. The girl didn't give her much time to speak up. "It's Sero, ma'am. He's asked me to retrieve you personally and send you after him and the Lady Mizukage with haste. He wants you to prepare for a full tactical assault, based on infiltration over direct assault. There's very little time for you to lose, so you need to get geared up and head out as soon as possible." she said, and relayed the location to Nozomi. With that information and the last bit of her task completed, the woman went to turn away. "Oh, and sorry about your door, I'll have it replaced while you're out."

As she left, Nozomi got out of her bed and took a moment to assess the situation. So Sero and Ayakashi needed her help personally? Her eyebrows furrowed as she looked at her mask, running her hand over the wings on the side. She knew she needed to go and help them out, she wasn't going to just leave Sero to die, but as of that moment, she really didn't particularly care about Ayakashi. That woman had labelled the one person Nozomi cared about above anyone else as a Missing-nin, enacting an active hunt for the girl. Very few Hunter-nin would dare step foot in Kumo to go after her, but that meant that she could never see Kaekio while she was still a Hunter-nin, and that she couldn't be visited by the girl either. If Ayakashi needed her help bad enough, then she'd force the Mizukage to do her a favor once this was all over.

The decision to go was difficult, but it didn't take long. She would be going for Sero, and for Kaekio. Already in most of her tactical gear, Nozomi only really needed to put on her armor and Camelio suit. She was mostly dressed for the part, but hadn't slept in her armor or weapons for obvious reasons. It was bad enough that she'd slept in her weights. Too many fights without them on, Nozomi needed to have her body get readjusted to them. Slipping her top off for the moment, Nozomi temporary removed her wrist weights as well so she could slip on her Camelio suit, and then put the rest of her ANBU armor on before slipping the rest of her clothes back on. That should help her with her infiltration, as it rendered her more difficult to sense barring a high ranking sensory jutsu.

Then came the matter of her gear. Choosing what she needed to take carefully so as not to over encumber herself before she left with items that likely wouldn't see any combat, Nozomi only took a few moments to sift through her things. In actuality, she left behind most of her items, choosing to opt for a smaller amount than normal. Most of her lower quality gear was left at the house, and she'd actually chosen to forgo some of the more sentimental pieces that she carried with her. Practicality was a must at the moment.

Once she was fully geared up, Nozomi slipped her mask on over her face and rushed out of her house, heading towards the Jin province to provide backup however she was needed. Upon arriving, Nozomi rather quietly approached behind Sero and the Mizukage, not wishing to interrupt while her eyes fell over the area to take in the situation. She wasn't quite a stealth god without using the Silent Killing Technique, but she wasn't by any means loud on her approach. Not a soul was in sight, and thin wires webbed the entire area. A small frown entered her face, blocked out by the mask that covered it. She wondered what sort of threat called for two Hunter-nin Captains and the Mizukage's personal attention. Sure, it was suspicious that nobody was around, but for someone like the Mizukage, any challenge should be capable of being overcome. There was more to it than what it looked like, that was for sure.

Silence fell the area as the Mizukage waited

For what seemed like an age Ayakashi simply waited and watched, knowing that Bao within the village was the only threat that could possibly catch her out, but the A rank ninja that moved around the area were not something that could be scoffed at. Many of them were on patrols and the hostages had yet to be identified wherever they lay. Now wanting to give herself or her chakra away yet with the activation of a technique, ayakashi would flow chakra into her mask to activate its chakra based ability. The soft breeze moving through the area had an effect on motion in and around them, it was through this method that Ayakashi was able to spot the grouped hostages in one of the larger buildings guarded by a retinue of men that encircled them. Each of them seemed dangerous, armed and ready for anything. But Bao seemed nowhere to be seen by the Mizukage who would continue to scout the area for anything that she was capable of finding. As half an hour passed, it was with a single wivver that Sero Osada came to light, asking what the deal was.

'Where to start'

Ayakashi would await the third and final member of the team to arrive before beginning to speak, she needed to ensure where she intended to start and how much information she intended to divulge. There were few people in the country that knew of the shadow war between the Daimyo and the Mizukage that had been moving for some time, Dameon, the Mizukage's former second being one of them and Strafe being the only two living ninja that had any real in depth knowledge of the extent of the tensions between the two factions. The pool of those in the loop was about to double, and Ayakashi could only hope that she could explain things in such a way that the two before her would not turn their backs on her for her secrecy... God knows it had already happened before. By the time Nozomi had appeared, a spike of guilt stabbed into the heart of the mizukage as she decided now was not the time to put a diplomatic spin on how things were, this was to be the end of this secret war... Sero was the only person right now Ayakashi truly relied on to finish this, and if he trusted Nozomi to aid in that respect enough, she would trust Nozomi too.

'With a deep sigh, Ayakashi would begin.'

"This is not going to be an easy story to hear, but I think it best to give you both the context for this meeting. Suffice to say, I'd made a mistake..." Ayakashi would speak in hushed tones, turning away from their target as she would look to the two. "About four months ago I had a meeting with the Daimyo, where the young Daimyo was evidently displeased with my actions, it was there I noticed the... influence of the child's advisor. A foreign man by the name of Zhuge Liang. It became clear to me quickly that the Daimyo was little more than a puppet under his thumb, so I intended to rally the support of the court against the advisor, but his control ran deeper than I had suspected. The control was not merely influence, but some form of chakra based alchemy, he is dominating the minds of the Daimyo and those immediately around him into complete subservience... as such, I soon found myself the target of his ire. Since that day, his vassals, powerful fighters from wherever he came from have been hunting me and trying to unseat me from my position. With Dameon and Strafe at my side before I was able to resist them, but, Strafe has largely retired to his hospital and Dameon has been missing too long. For a moment Ayakashi would remove her mask, so better to display the pleading visage and slight level of emotional distress that was being conveyed in her voice, but also producing a red note-book, the diary of Zhuge that she and Strafe had stolen, the evidence to his deeds and the intricacies of his invasive techniques.

[color:5f93==#990099]For some time these assassins had been quiet after we thinned their forces numbers. But it seemed that it has pushed them to more drastic action. The woman in there is named Bao, she's a one of the assassins and she's as dangerous as she is psychotic, she spins bladed webs and uses their tension to attack from any angle like a finger-trap. The whole town is covered in her wires. "
Ayakashi would look up from having a his head bowed to look up at the two before her. "I could not risk telling many, a war between the Daimyo and the Ninja Village was certain to ensure mutual destruction. But it was that course of action that led to this eventuality. However, I have the tools to end all of this now, but, not without help. I'll give you both the chance now to back out, these assassins are dangerous... even for me. But should you aid me in bringing this shadow looming over our country to an end, I will be deeply indebted to both of you... the Daimyo of our country cannot be allowed to stay under foreign control."

Ayakashi would finish, looking to the two of them she'd understand their anger if it were there, and, on a subconscious level she was already preparing to battle the forces that lay before her on her own. Each of the soldiers that were there were were skilled, and about a hundred in number... Ayakashi could deal with them if she had to, there was no way that Bao would be able to fight Ayakashi efficiently while avoiding them, but, knowing her she would cut them to pieces just to get to Ayakashi, which would thin their numbers out all the faster. Looking to their reactions, Ayakashi would judge whether or not they would stay, she was sure about Sero, but she would feel her eyes fall a little more worryingly on Nozomi... However, should the two of them accept, it would almost bring a tear to her eye, as Ayakashi would thank the two of them in turn before drawing out a scroll and handing it to Nozomi. Ayakashi had seen the equipment that was on her person, and she needed... something to bolster her equipment. And knowing the nature of the petal techniques that she had at her disposal, she thought this weapon was fitting.

"Consider this a loan, but I have no doubt that you'll be its full time wielder in the near future."

Ayakashi would place her mask back onto her face, looking back out into the distance to see if anything had changed. As the night deepened and approached towards morning, the cool temperatures on the damp country rolled in the mist bank that Ayakashi was counting on for this mission. This was the village hidden in the mist after-all, it was only fitting that in a time of disaster, the mist would be one of the greatest weapons at the disposal of the countries' ninja.

Sero

Sero's question would be met with silence for a time. It appeared she wished to only explain this once and nothing of the explenation could be withheld from whomever Sero brought. His grey eyes would take her in for a time as he considered the situation. The province itself was quiet. Much like a spiders nest. Reminding him of the woods outside his own home. The wires barely noticable but everywhere. As they waited a patrol caught his eye as he watched them. A squad of men in red armor with assorted weapons. Designed for any range of threat. However the way they moved was so very odd. In unison their feet hit the ground as if it were one person. Could they all be puppets? He had read of a man in the bells war that had designed a great many puppets from the fallen soldiers on the battlefield. This made the concept entirely plausible. What was odd though was how they seemed to move in shifts instead of consistantly. As if they were being provided with just enough rest and time to consume to stay alive and strong.

Sero was taking special note of the location the squadrons moved into and a new one emerged from. The base of operations seemed to be a shrine of some sort. He was not familiar with the area's deities nor did he much care. Instead his attention turned to an approaching Nozomi. She had made it considerably close to them in silence but it was difficult to hide ones presence from Sero. Still she too would have one hell of a difficult time seeing him. However he would acknowledge her from his cloak to witness him. The red cloak seeming to unfurl out of no where with the hood up over his head as he watched her with cold grey eyes. Contemplating her movements and then glancing between her and Ayakashi. Two dangerous women either of them his match easily. He might be captain of the seven but both of them were fearsome in their own right. However luckily it appeared Nozomi wasn't interested in endangering the mission at this time.

Still his full attention would turn to Ayakashi as she spoke. The revelation of great interest to him. How was it possible that he could not know of a shadow war involving the safety of the village and their Kage? That Dameon knew before him irked him slightly as he found the man to prefer to strike a pose and make a scene over applying himself to any sort of duty.  Strafe made sense to him though. He supposed she had used what resources they had available to them at the time. Having been unsure of where Sero would stand with Kage or Daimyo likely. However Sero merely glanced at the red note book. If it was true and there was the mans own documentation evidence of his deeds Sero would eliminate the threat to the best of his ability. With careful planning and overwhelming force. Still his grey eyes followed her as she provided them with both the option to abandon the mission and provided Nozomi with a temporary weapon. Waiting until that was done before speaking in a low and dull tone.

"I would like the chance to review the evidence myself at a later time. For now there is an unlawful possession of this town by hostile forces. If these men are indeed possessed and serving an assassin while holding hostages I suggest we split up the objectives. Primary objective should be the retrieval of the hostages intact. As such I suggest a plan. Allow Nozomi to move into position near the hostages while avoiding any traps. While she does so, give me time to move into position at the shrine where the bulk of their force seems to be kept. On your signal I eliminate the soldiers within the shrine and Nozomi eliminates the threats to the hostages. If you can clear her a path from those threads I can cover her escort. Once all hostiles save the assassin are eliminated and the hostages rescued we will regroup with you and join in on any combat with the assassin. Assume she will engage you the moment you are revealed."

As she approached Ayakashi, Sero's form seemed to appear. She'd noted that he had been hiding his physical appearance, knowing that he was there only by virtue of him sending someone to retrieve her, which indicated he was leaving at haste himself and didn't have time to wait up for her. She made no noise to acknowledge that she could see him, and instead chose to wait for the debriefing.

It appeared that Ayakashi had been waiting to brief Sero on what was going on until she had arrived herself. It made sense, she more than likely didn't want to repeat herself, and the young girl did her best to pay attention to Ayakashi. She didn't want to have to ask for any of the information to be covered once again, and so she listened quietly. While she did so, her eyes fell onto the village, taking in all the information that was available through sight alone, to better assess the situation immediately on hand. The wires that hung almost imperceptibly would be difficult to fully avoid. The enemy had had plenty of time to set up their defenses, and that counted against the three of them. This entire battle would surely be the hardest fought one that Nozomi had ever even seen in her life. The patrols she could see through the small town might place their enemies in a number peaking at multiples of dozens, a large force to be sure. They had the advantage of traps, numbers, and terrain, as well as having fought with and knowing each other's strategies.

If she was anyone else, perhaps Nozomi would have bowed her head then and there, choosing to leave rather than stay. But she had something that needed to be done, and for that, she needed Ayakashi to survive this encounter. Nor did she think either Ayakashi nor Sero would choose to leave. Ayakashi was far too proud of an individual, especially when it came to what she believed to be the greater good of her village, and Sero knew no fear. He was loyal to the core, and wouldn't abandon his Mizukage while she was actively in charge of Kirigakure. Of course, there was no recourse other than battle for them, and Nozomi wouldn't leave here. And she couldn't let herself die here either, so there was no chance she'd let the almost insurmountable odds get her down.

Lady Ayakashi regaled them with her tale, keeping her debrief as short as possible without leaving out important information. To be honest, Nozomi didn't care either way who was in the right or who was in the wrong. She'd already made up her mind that for now, she would follow the Mizukage into battle. She did take in the information though, choosing to believe that what the Mizukage said as the truth. She knew enough about politics that she understood there were forces in play that were above her level of knowledge. She was little more than a soldier, not a great political mind that would be privy to these sorts of goings-on. Dameon Shikyo and Strafe Aisu were two well known shinobi that she respected as individuals enough to believe that if they were on Ayakashi's side, they wouldn't have done so without being informed and convinced thoroughly. Treason was a high offense, not done so without much consideration.

As Ayakashi finished, Nozomi's response came quick. "I shall follow you into battle. Not just now, but until the end of this mission as a whole. I shall help you see the Daimyo back under his own influence. I will hold you to your word though, that you will owe me a great debt, but that can be discussed later." Upon her confirmation, Ayakashi handed Nozomi a scroll, telling her that she was receiving it as a loan, but would more than likely become the full wielder in time. There could only be one thing that this was that Nozomi could think of, and that would be one of the Seven Swords of the Mist. A small smile twitched onto her face as she unsealed the weapon, placing the empty scroll with her other scrolls.

Examining the weapon, she knew what it was fairly quickly. The Serpent's Tongue, a whip blade, the 7th sword. She hadn't seen it used ever before, but she knew that it was superior to other whip blades, and she'd even watched someone fight in that style before. This weapon would do just fine. Holding it in her right hand, Nozomi would then in turn listen to Sero's words, feeling a tiny drain as the weapon took from her life force to connect their mind and movements. She knew it would help her wield itself properly, and that it would obey her own commands, almost as if it was sentient. She agreed with Ayakashi: This blade was a perfect match for her, and it felt like having it helped her feel even more complete.

Of course, Sero took everything said with a grain of salt, still choosing to believe her in the moment, but that didn't mean he wouldn't want to review the evidence later. He was correct though, that the more immediate concern was in freeing this town and the inhabitants from the clutches of this force. His plan was sound from the looks of things, but there were some things she was still missing in terms of information. "This village, it was an outpost, correct? How many hostages can we assume survived? If what I remember is correct, it was primarily stationed by Special Jounin, so freeing them should lend to us in terms of survivability. I'd have less to focus on with them aiding their own escape, and once they are free, I could then lend my aid to either of you more efficiently. Pardon me in saying this, but once I free them, it would be more prudent for me to reinforce you which would aid in allowing them to escape. If what Ayakashi says is true, this assassin will be more than a handful for her, and I shouldn't count on her aid, and in honesty Sero, you'll have your hands full as well. The commotion caused by the two of you will create enough of a distraction to allow the hostages to escape with little resistance, but that means you'll have the bulk of the forces on you two. You'll need my help, and they can handle themselves once freed if they don't engage."

It seemed that loyalty held strong in times of peril.

Ayakashi nodded to the other two, proud to have 2 ninja in her village that would stand by her in a time of peril like this. Although Ayakashi in the past had relied on her other ninja, it was a ninja like Sero that she had really needed by her side for many, many years. He was strong, loyal, but also cautious compared to Ayakashi's far more emotional and impulsive nature that was prone to intense self critique and potential doubt should she be given the time to lament. Sero was different, calculating, rational, level headed and much much more. Ayakashi had discounted him far more than she should have in thinking that he was not ready because of his seemingly emotionless tone, but, that facade was shattered in her eyes during the trial for his position as captain of the seven swordsmen. She now doubted that he was ever incapable of emotion, it was just burried far deeper than most others.

'She'd made so many mistakes, it was hard to fathom.'

Taking a moment and listening to the plans that were concocted, Ayakashi would think about an appropriate response, the idea of having the special jounin help the others escape was a good option, although, part of Ayakashi would have them join the frey against the veritable army that the enemy had almost assembled. Every Kirigakure fighter would need to act as three men... were it any other nations force other than perhaps konoha she would doubt their resolve, however, this was kirigakure, this was her nation... her soldiers were worth 10 of any other ranks... But, this was not a call that she was going to be able to make alone, and the state of the hostages was in question as well. Were they wounded to the point that they would not be able to fight? Were they weak or malnourished? So many variables... but not so many that Aya wasn't able to take them into account.

"Sero's plan seems good, although I see no reason why you should be the only one beginning the stealth attack against their forces. I'll work with you in the beginning to attempt to eliminate as many of the grunts by surprise as possible. I can do this while attempting to clear any of the wires that are in my way and weaken Bao's hold on the village...

In response to you Nozomi, you're correct, I don't know the number of survivors, but i imagine they would have saved as many as possible. There were likely about six chuunin, eighteen special jounin and six jounin stationed here, though one special jounin managed to escape to deliver the message. Were it available, in order to secure the escape after the initial strike, it should be up to the jounin, if able to rally with us with you Nozomi and back us up, because you're right, we're going to need you and every able person with a weapon to back us up...

So, now that we have our plan, move into position, scout the force to know where to come from, and then move to execute. Be safe, both of you. You are Kirigakure's strongest, and I believe in you both."

With that said, Ayakashi would activate the first of her stealth techniques, coating herself with mirror like ice, reflecting light around her to that of her surroundings and disappearing from physical sight. Ayakashi would then slowly begin to slink through the wires on her way towards the enemy camp, her attire hiding her chakra signature as she would do so. Being careful to not create so much as a breeze to interact with the wires as Ayakashi would approach silent as the grave to a vantage point overlooking the tangled town, while the mist that had now settled in did well to obscure anyone within it... however, movement within the village still showed to ayakashi as coloured light thanks to her mask. She would be able to see the positions of enemies, allies, and even the directions of the moving breeze and other effects. Taking in a deep breath, Ayakashi would be in position for the attack, now she just needed to think of something that would work as a signal to alert her ninja to the timing of their intended attack...

'Timing and suddenness was key...'

Everything was in place, now it was just time to wait for the target to appear. Bao had 'lost' a member of the ANBU which had run off to inform their master of what was going on. Which was exactly what she'd wanted. When she was sure that the message of the situation would be delivered, she called for a few of her soldiers. It was time to place the pawns and await the veritable climax of the acts being taken. These soldiers, sporting yari or katana would bow to her and await the orders she would undoubtedly have for them. "Take the prisoners to different points. I'd like them in groups of six, with six guards to watch over them. I'd like them gagged as they're already bound. Stand not to close or too far, lest you present an opportunity. Should anyone but myself enter to check upon their conditions, immediately put them to death. We will not have them joining the battle that is to ensue. Fail me, and I shall flay you each alive myself. Now go." When the soldiers moved off to take the prisoners away, Bao moved quietly and gracefully through the village, expertly avoiding her own wires she'd placed around, noting their positions. Upon making it to the other side of the village, she roused up a number of soldiers, each with their own crossbows. Thirty-one of them in total stood before her, and she looked them over, calculating the advantage they could bring.

"Five of you will go up to that ridge there, overlooking the village and watch for intruders or movements. You are to fire upon any that are not our own. Five more of you will join them and stay behind their positions to be wary of any that would sneak up on them. For the other twenty of you, take up positions around the village. Work in pairs and watch the front and back of your position so that you will not be surprised. This will give each team a field of vision greater than one could have. Stick to the trees and fire when you see the chance. Let none that come escape. Should any of the prisoners make it out, make sure they do not live to tell the tale. Those who watch the snipers' backs shall do the same for anyone who approaches the village. Use your spots to your advantage. As for you.." She turned to the last of the platoon, being without a partner. She pointed to the roof of a hovel and waved to four more crossbowmen to do the same as she would instruct. "Take up positions on the roofs of the hovels and watch for encroaching enemies. We'll be able to hide the nature of our archers with this tactic, making the enemy assume that we only have a few of them instead of the larger number we do."

When this planning was complete, she then waved to the remaining forces. There were quite a smallnumber for taking this former outpost. The assassin would take no chances in this mission. She would succeed where the others had failed and would not give an inch without taking three. The rest of the soldiers would be told to move about the village, taking up positions in pairs or trios. Near any entrance, hiding in buildings, behind the buildings or just around the area. Much of the forces were shown in the middle, spears and katana in hand. There were quite a few that were hidden about the area, out of sight so that they would have the advantage of shadows upon the would be trespassers. It had almost been ten minutes since the ANBU had escaped and they were running out of time to make preparations. There was only so much they could do in such a time, as Bao knew how quickly the opposing force would be able to move. Taking her death spinners in hand, Bao would attach wires to them as she grabbed them, then threw them about. There were already wires about the village, but this was an extra precaution. An experienced ninja would find a way to see the wires either way, but that sort of clarity would breed arrogance.

When the throwing was doe and the trap was set, she breathed quietly. These wires took a different pattern than before, sort of a cross stitch instead of a web, offering much less room to move around and centered around the area she herself stood in. Her other weapons were on the ground next to the stool she now sat on, crossing her legs in a lady-like fashion. Her beautiful, melodious voice was heard humming as she tied the wires together and hid them behind her back, attaching the to a splinter on the stool. The board was set and the pieces were in play, twenty minutes now had gone by and as such it was soon time for the guests to arrive. Bao Had purposely allowed the overlapping of the new wires onto the old, so that a continuous current could be carried through them, but cutting a few wires would not stop such a current. Bao knew that she'd need more than a few tricks to outwit the guests that she had 'invited' but that was the fun of such a thing. It would be interesting to carve her expected guests in different fashions and frankly, she'd be disappointed if it was so easy. She continued to hum her soft tune, a devilish grin coming to her soft, pink lips.

Sero would patiently listen to the both of them in turn. His grey eyes seemingly shadowed behind his mask. The ridges of the skull mask so realistic it seemed like had actually placed a skull over his own face. It seemed like the dead with sunken eyes that stared out as dead as the face it hid behind. However there was something more there. As if held just behind the mask, as if caged within was that monster within. A dark beast waiting to be released. It was then that either of them might notice they couldn't feel Sero around them. His armor concealing his presence so well it felt like he wasn't there. As if he were maturing now to be able to cage that inner darkness. In no way did it feel like he had lost any of that predator instinct but still he was much more concealed now. His red cloak shifted as he moved closer to a tree to gaze down at the village. The cloak seeming to blend into its surroundings even more so then before. He was preparing to move towards his objective. That red cloak of his was something frightening that made him virtually invisible to even Jounin.

He had no issues with either of their plans playing out in his mind. Reinforcements were an excellent thing. However they were fighting an opponent with the ability to possess others. There was little to no guarantee that they were not already the enemy. Any direct intervention from those they were rescuing was a gamble on their part. There was too much time to plan and dig in. He would need to show caution. Still Ayakashi listened to them both in part and spoke. Her words speaking volumes of her need for victory here. He would merely bow his head a moment before waiting until Nozomi spoke if she did and Ayakashi departed first. His hand would reach out to grab Nozomi by the arm before she could move to an looked to her with grey eyes. His grip was firm as to gather her attention and his gaze was not capable of faltering. He looked to her a moment before glancing down the way Ayakashi had gone. Fading into the mist with her jutsu to fade from sight entirely. He could sense her out there but moving further away and then out of his range. Out of hearing range too.

"When you finish your objective, Join Ayakashi immediately. I work best alone and I know the risk. It won't be possible for the soldiers I hunt to detect me. Not with this mist rolling in. However Ayakashi is the target for this trap. If I had to guess, one messenger getting away was no incident. Whatever trap she is about to be caught in. I expect you to break her free. I need you to be that strong."

With that he would wait for her to acknowledge his words before releasing her and fading into the mist. Gone from sight like a wraith. The enemy he was hunting was to be pitied. This was his playing field and they were not prepared in the slightest for him. He moved in silence along the rim of the village. Avoiding the wires entirely as he moved through the tree's. Not a twig snapping, not a ruffle of his cloak. It wasn't long though before he found something interesting to him. Two men were standing back to back with crossbows raises. He wasn't sure how many more were like this but if he had to guess the woods were littered with them. Archers were an issue overlooking the village. Quietly he stalked them as he kept low to the ground. Moving around them to examine them for traps. Seeing nothing he noted the soldiers were expendable. Quietly he pulled free two small blades from under his cloak. In silence the two archers were relieved of an intact wind pipe. Unable to cry out as they died. A small amount of blood splatter coating the tree and the grass around them. With that done Sero sheathed his blades and collected the crossbows. If it was a sniper game they wanted. They would have it.

Nozomi's mouth lifted slightly as Ayakashi's response came through to her. It seemed she was fine with Nozomi's plan of letting the shinobi make their own paths to freedom once they were freed. It was a good thing that the Mizukage agreed, since Nozomi hadn't planned on being their guardian in the first place. Her number one priority was freeing the hostages, not keeping them safe. After that, she'd be working on taking down the remainder of the enemy, not playing the role of protector. Not today. A large force of Special Jounin, Chuunin, and Jounin would be able to take care of themselves, and if they chose to stay and fight, that was their issue. Her recommendation would be for them to leave so as to not give up their lives. After all, this was partially a rescue mission, and if those she was sent to rescue died, then it would be pointless. Otherwise, they would have been better suited to draw out the enemy and change their venue. That being said, if they chose to stay and fight, then it would be their choice.

Still, Ayakashi's response helped give Nozomi a little bit more trust in the Mizukage. She was concerned with the lives of her subordinates after all. If she hadn't been, and was goal oriented on just removing the assassin from her mortal coils, then she would have abandoned the hostages to death, or just gone in with a blaze of chakra, leveling the place with little regard for the lives of those beneath her. But instead, she planned on being the distraction so that Nozomi could free the hostages. Still, that didn't mean that the Hunter-nin Captain fully trusted the Mizukage again. There was definitely work to do for that to happen once more.

Before she could leave, Sero held Nozomi back for a moment. She agreed with him and nodded. "Besides, if they won't be able to sense you, I won't be able to either. And I think it's all too convenient that only one escaped as well. It's obvious this is all a trap, but we all knew that, we're just springing it. Don't worry about it, I'm a lot stronger than people give me credit for." A small wink came from her mask, the lightly glowing eye behind it blinking out in verification. She would be strong enough to assist Ayakashi and spring her out of any situation she found herself in. "Besides, I don't expect they'll be able to sense me either. This shouldn't take too long for me to do." she said, activating the Camelio suit's camouflage ability. She had no doubt Sero would be able to make out the vague pattern of the camouflage, but it hadn't been something she'd been able to see through herself when she'd fought Syn, having to rely on other senses. And her ANBU armor protected her from sensory jutsu as well.

With that, Sero disappeared from sight, and Nozomi put him out of her mind, making her own way to the small village. She didn't run into any of the snipers in the wood lines, which was unfortunate, but also not her mission at the moment. Under her watchful eye, she navigated silently through the wire-ridden streets, keeping an ear out for any sort of indication where the hostages were being held. Peering through a window of one of the buildings, she finally found a group. Unfortunately, from the looks, they were under a heavy guard, each with weapons pointed towards their captives. Nozomi recognized a couple of the men held hostage. They had been genin when she'd seen them last at the training grounds. Darn. These were the chuunin, 6 of them. 1 for each guard. A quick mental calculation and Nozomi figured they had split the hostages into 5 groups, probably this group of 6 Chuunin, 2 groups of 6 Special  Jounin and 1 group of 5 Special Jounin, leaving 1 group of 6 Jounin.

Luckily for her though, all of the Kiri-nin had their hands bound and mouths gagged, on their knees. The guards were all above them, standing behind them with weapons pointed at their back to execute their captives should anyone enter, which was good for her. And none of them saw her in the window, her camouflage working perfectly. Good. Readying Serpent's Tongue, Nozomi moved to the door, preparing herself. Shoving it open, Nozomi's arm whipped forward, the blade extending out and severing the guards' heads off. Their bodies collapsed to the ground, limp. 6 down, 24 to go. 6 free, 23 to save. Entering the room, she hissed out a small noise to the whimpering Chuunin. "Shhhhhh." untying one of them, Nozomi, still in camouflage, spoke instructions in a low voice.

"Stay under the cover of the shadows. Escape into the forest, head back to Kiri. Don't tell anyone what happened. Don't stop for anything. Should you choose to stay, and fight, you do so at your own peril. Mind the wires. Snipers are on the roofs. Don't stay in sight of any roof tops, and don't expose yourselves. Don't do anything for at least 10 minutes though. I need time to free the others. Focus on defense, and stealth. There are likely archers everywhere. Most importantly,
stick together. Join up with the other Kiri hostages if you can. Strength lies in numbers and eyes.
" Without waiting for the Chuunin to finish untying his allies, Nozomi had already made her way out and was moving on through the streets again, off to find the remaining hostages. So far she hadn't been noticed, nor had she sprung any of the wires. She headed out towards a new location, figuring out where the other hostages could be held.

Ayakashi

Ayakashi

S-rank
And so the Hunt began.

Ayakashi would first draw her usual weapon of stealth killing, her weapon changeling would be drawn to her side as she would draw a handful of arrows and looked to the two that finished speaking as it seemed that their plan had finally come to fruition. Ayakashi could hear the foot-steps of those around them to begin with, and it seemed that they were beginning to divide their forces, which was clever, but also risky. Bao would likely be onto them as soon as they began to drop the body-count, but, the more they could kill before the conflict truly began, the better-off they would all be in the long run. The men they were killing were dangerous, but, it was something that had to be done, not to mention that, as they were Zhuge's men, they were barely men at all, rather puppets marching to the beat of his phantasmal drum. Hearing their final words Ayakashi gave the two of them a nod, handing over the last information in short about Bao, about the 'cats cradle' guillotine tactics that she employed, the elemental releases she had used and the windstorm creating fans in her possession. That way, they would not be taken by surprise. At least, when it came to Bao, her guillotines tended to come from the out-side in.

'they were ready, the next step, was to claim victory.'

Ayakashi would activate her mirror-skin jutsu, as ice crept across her body, armour and the weapons she held in her position, changeling would shimmer out of sight as would a hand-full of arrows as Ayakashi gripped them, allowing her to have, at the very least, a hidden weapon that ninja would not be able to see flying through the air... As the others left to find their way, ayakashi too would begin to make her way through the undergrowth, moving in such a manner that her footsteps would not make a sound, the breath behind her mask was silent. She moved with an elegance that would not contort the soft breeze that there was present, though the mist was quickly stifling it. Ayakashi would move slower than the others, she wanted them to be in position first as she would move around to the outside of the camp, still having the chakra flowing through her mask as she observed the moving positions of the patrols effortlessly through the mist itself.

Ayakashi was exceptionally careful to not so much as touch or allow her presence to effect the wires that were strewn about the area at all. Like a spiders web, she knew that they all traced back to her and Ayakashi was certain that Bao would be using it as a make-shift sensory web to feel vibrations through on some level. She was as crafty as she was murderous, but in a far more brutal sociopathic way than the other assassins Ayakashi had, had the displeasure of coming to blows with. Once Ayakashi was in position at the far end of the site, she would level her bow with an arrow. She knew that when she struck at the groups of foreign fighters, she would have to do so in such a way that dropped them all quickly enough that they would not have a chance to react, and in such a manner to not give them the opportunity. Wherever they stood, Ayakashi would have to remove the one at the back of the pack first and work her way forward when able... with the wires all around it was hard to move in a large group side-by-side... but it was a snipers paradise.

Which drew her attention to ten men moving up to a ridge... While they were en-route Ayakashi would have to move fast, two arrows at a time she would look to those patrolling the area where the mist was the thickest. Ayakashi was sure that the group gathered closest together in the largest numbers would be the target of Sero's initial assault. Sero was a devastating fighter, there was no way that he wouldn't take the opportunity to hit that hot-spot first. So, while Ayakashi awaited for the strike to begin, she would move to pick off as many in the densest areas that were out of their sight range to begin with. Knocking her bow back sharply, the well designed compound bow drew without so much as a whisper as, with perfect Skill, Ayakashi began what could only be described as the most efficient rampage that a person could expect. Knocking arrows two by two Ayakashi would sleuth through the shadows, aiming in a fraction of an instant and firing on two men, then another two, and another two. Eliminating groups at a time with her Lethal Aisu-Family arrows.

'So focused she was, Aya did not enjoy the release of a single shot.'

It wouldn't be long until the forces in and around Ayakashi would soon begin to be lacking in number. Ayakashi had 30 of her ancestral arrows and by the end of five full seconds she would have let almost half of them fly at targets within her range of sight. Bodies falling silently as her arrows would penetrate throats in such a way as to ever the spine entirely, eyes into the cerebral cortex, hearts in such a manner to go through the Vegus Nerve... all three shots from different angles were kill-shots where a person would die before they hit the ground, without so much as a squeak. Ayakashi, as the ghost that she was, was hoping to clear the streets mostly, if not entirely, by the time she would make a move into the center villa, Sheathing her bow as she knew that the next move would come at a cost to her chakra. Aya would need to sever a large sum of the threads that were around the area, and also call enough attention to herself to have all eyes on her, draw all attention from Bao's people and get her talking, as she oh so loved to do.

Power would well within the Mizukage's blade the wedding band, as she would allow the mirror scales of ice from her body to fall away, drawing the weapon with a quick swing as a massive arc of black Hyouton chakra would curve diagonally in one direction for a single wall of the threads. A cats cradle needed an edge, and even if Ayakashi couldn't break the entire web, she could put a hole in it large enough to create so much slack in her trap that it would take Time for Bao to reconstitute and repair it. Ayakashi's heart of true flame would tear open a gap as the Mizukage would use it as a silent yet roaring shout to proclaim her appearance. Calling out the villain that lay within the village with a single shout.

"Bao Sanniang! I'm here...! Did you really think it was a good idea to call me here while you're on your own!? Perhaps if you had the one with the green spear this would be a challenge! But, just you... do you really want a repeat of the forest? I'm sure i marked you with an arrow that day." Aya knew that Bao was proud, they had-had exchanges before. And to appear so publicly as the mist rolled around the mizukage, embracing her like she was its mother.

I've been asked to take a look at this and I would like to remind you that this is a SS Ranked mission, meaning that it is supposed to be the most difficult kind of mission to complete. They are no longer allowed to be apped because they are world changing events. You are currently treating it like a joke and ignoring what your NPC is putting out for you. The most specific example would be an A Rank shinobi killing off several other shinobi of their own rank whom are being hired to guard an official in one attack, or completely ignoring the electrified wire grid that was set up. Please take this more seriously. When you go to turn this in the mission mod will be going over it, and if you do not take it more seriously it will be denied.

Sero:

~T'wasn't the mere two on the ridge on high, the lightning-like wires coursing through the forest would hum and spark as the reinforced wired would be avoided by the Sanin with ease as he sleuthed through the forest none the wiser to his presence until the snipers could be seen up the hill. Each of them bearing down on the valley beneath them with keen eyes. With skill and finesse the men under the will of Bao watched with a keen eye as a man crept up behind them silent as the grave, catching the two of them off their guard. The time that navigating the wires and making his way from the initial perch they had been at, making his way down and around to the snipers' ground would have taken some time should he be attempting to remain silent the entire way and be undetected. Knives whipping out would strike two of them true, however, it was not just two men who were up upon the ridge, five were sent up there, and three of them remained. Not hearing the cries, but the wet patter on stone from a high pressure wound as well as the violent thud of the bodies hitting the ground was enough to arouse suspicion. The ninja had 'seconds' to react to the other three men around him, the clock was on... there was little time. Then there were the five more positioned behind them to keep watch at their backs, though Sero was in stealth, just as they began to react, there would be the activation of a massive Hyouton technique in the center of the area...

(Being far faster and better than these dudes, i've given you a quick reaction before they collapse on you to do some damage before the mess begins.)

Nozomi:

~The mission in would have been harder for Nozomi, moving past the patrols to get to the first location, though, by the time she had arrived at the apt location, Ayakashi would have been working on thinning their number, covering her with arrows from affar as with her sensory ability she would be working on clearing the streets of as many people as she could without allowing an alarm to trigger, but it was all precious moments, and little else. Once the trap was sprung, Ayakashi knew that all hell was going to break loose, though, the hostages on the other-hand were another matter altogether. Bao would know that the use of hostages was psychological at best, it was an attempt to get Ayakashi to hold back and not use her full fury, or lure her into hesitation or perhaps even trading them for herself in one way or another. Many of these systems would work against a Kage... were they not the village hidden in the mist. As Nozomi made her way to the first Hostage outpost, the chuunin in the room looked worried, outclassed and out-gunned.

Whipping out serpents tongue from a hidden angle across the room was a bold move, shoving the window open she would whip out the weapon, catching three heads in her initial attack, scoring another in the eye as those nearer the back of the room compared to her would raise their weapons in defense of themselves while one of the nearer ones would act with a dodge reflex, ducking and tilting his head to the side as the blade went overhead. One of the chuunin, braver than the others, although bound was needed to be walked to this location. From kneeling position she would spin out with a leg, slamming it into the ham-strings of a captor and tripping him as the other two still remained standing. Time would seem to slow as the chuunin belonging to the one who ducked promptly had his throat slit with the Wakizashi as the rogue would draw a Katana, enchanting its blade with an A rannk katon technique as he would charge directly for the entrant with a flurry of strikes for the chest, hoping to give the other assassins the chance needed to begin slaughtering their hostages...

But the rebellion had not ended there, though they were but chuunin, the three who had belonged to the dead guards, quickly armed themselves with the weapons of their captors, cutting their bonds free as one went for a high ranking crossbow and the other a blade as he would attempt to charge one of the jounin fighters, the other arming a bolt and taking aim from afar as the third struggled in panic, unable to free themselves so quickly due to being far greener than the others in the room and overcome with the sudden swathe of action... It was then a boom rocked the area as the sound of whipping tendrils rang out over the area. Ayakashi had begun her distraction.

Ayakashi:

~The men would drop two by two, the mist, the mat black arrows of the Aisu, the sensory technique active from her mask and her stealth technique would mesh together in such a way that she would be lethal. Within moments more than a dozen men were down and the street presence had thinned enough that she wasn't worried about what was at her back any longer. As Ayakashi entered the center of the area and released a high magnatude blast, severing hundreds of the tightly woven wires from a single direction, the whiplash that resounded around the area as wires severed trees, the sides of buildings even a couple more of the wandering men would leave the spider-web crippled in comparison to what it once was, though far from unusable... Bao within moments would feel the disturbance and see the chakra, swearing loudly before diving to the ground to meet Ayakashi listening to the venomous words and seething under them as her teeth would grit and her hands would shake.

"I don't need Yun to destroy you Ayakashi, you're in my world now, there's nothing you can do to escape. Your pesky technique has broken a couple of my wires, but my men lay in wait for you. You're outnumbered and outmatched Ayakashi! Men! Ready!" The command would ring aloud and every available soldier not on the ledge and not with a hostage would move to surround the mizukage in a show of force. Though there of course would be vastly fewer than she would have hoped. Just shy of thirty showing up to the party rather than the near fifty she had hoped there to be. Anger flushing her face as she would let out a cry in anger. "Damnit, I still have enough men, ATTACK! BRING ME HER **** HEAD!!!"

The men would activate a myriad of techniques. Katon bukijutsu skills. Shadow-clones. Shadow shurikens, great fireballs and more as they all centered around Ayakashi with an attempted devastating assault. Others that were more defensive activated basic barrier techniques and substitutions. While they began to act, Bao began to throw her spinners around, curving and looping them in an attempt to close the gaps and begin to collect the loose ends and tie them together and tie them off in some areas simply so she could re-tighten and thus, re-weaponize the web.

POST:

Ayakashi had expected the call to arms, but the A rank ninja around her were something that she hadn't thought that she would have to handle for a little bit yet. There was a couple of things that she was able to do. Moving into her Sage mode: Nature form, she would begin to glow green as the men would activate a myriad of techniques. Katon bukijutsu skills. Shadow-clones. Shadow shurikens great fireballs and more as they all centered around Ayakashi with an attempted devastating assault. Others that were more defensive activated basic barrier techniques and substitutions... Each of them powerful, and none of them Ayakashi saw as a direct threat to her or her safety. With a single show of force, Ayakashi found herself channeling senjutsu chakra into her fist as well as the normal amount of hyouton that she would for this technique as she slammed it into the ground with incredible force as well as the vastly slower basic shockwave from her not holding back a single iota of her strength from the blow in the open courtyard.

With her technique interracting as a rank higher against fire and N/A techniques, those who relied on their A rank defenses were instantly frozen from the might of the wave, those who had attacked simultaneously without preparing a means to move as they had surrounded her at 20 meters and Ayakashi had made her move simultaneously to their own, would find themselves equally Popsicles. The katon techniques were instantly extinguished from the SS rank ice, while the physical projectiles passed through, being frozen solid yet still in motion... until they made contact with the shock-wave... shattering into a frozen dust which caught the rush of wind and scattered, totally nullified by the mix of the concussive force and the etheric wave of total iceolation. Within a moment thirty men who had been told to attack in anger had become a poultry dozen as those who had prepared or managed to activate escapes like their substitutions and body flickers barely in the nick of time would be the only ones who survived the ice like pulse... The kinetic wave as it made contact with any of the frozen men would shatter them into fragments as the survivors looked on.

"I don't think you understand Bao... you and your men... I'm a GOD compared to you all. Each and every one of you are a slagged blade compared to me. Unforged, unworthy, useless. You're a doll, and you'll never be anything other than a doll..."
