“Hey! Knetegawa! Are you here?” Kisei called inpatiently. “Huh, can’t even see a tuff of white hair from up here.” Apparently it was harder to find someone from ontop a building than on the ground. It sounded like a good idea at first but ultimately, wasn’t, in reality. Kisei loosed a heavy sigh as he walked off the building and towards the ground. The Ushinatta was getting bored lately. Not yet, quite, wanting to go on another mission, and with no one to help pass the time he was left with only one other person. “Hey Ryo! If you’re out there give me a sign!” He tried again. “I know that you’re here today!”

When he finally made it to the ground there were an assortment of people waiting for him at the bottom, looking rather pale faced. Have they never seen a guy walk off a building before? Kisei shrugged and moved through the crowd easily, calling out his friend’s name along the way. While there were more efficient ways to get Ryo’s attention, for some reason he doubted that the sunagakure smiled upon using potientionally lethal “signal flares” to send messages to your comrades within the village. Or at least that’s what he’s thinking, he hasn’t seen any since he came here so…

Time went by in a daze as he transversed the village searching for Ryo. A constant cycle of look, call, and disappointment. Kisei knew he could find him eventually but whether or not he would be more bored looking for him or waiting at home, only time will tell. With finality he called out again. “Ryo! Come on out!” In the back of his mind Kisei was awed how he wasn't arrested for harassment or something.

Ryo was out in the village today, of course, he was usually like this moving out and about relaxing and enjoying the day in his village. Wearing the scroll harness that was his clan’s design he waited for the next piece of gear that his family was supposed to be trading in. He was waiting for a summit conducted by his clans which would give him the items he wanted. Being that he was nearly Chuunin his mother had decided that he needed a celebratory present for such a graduation. So, she asked and he told what he wanted.

The clan summit was the perfect time for this request, the only problem was that he wasn’t allowed to go. Only clan Spec. Jounin or above were allowed to be at the conference and only Jounin in the clan were allowed a voice, or a vote. So instead he was walking through the village bored and sighing in his sorrow at being left alone. Thankfully his mother had left his oldest sister to look after the twins so he was able to go out into the village. As he walked however, he stopped as he heard someone very faintly calling out his name. Running along he kept going towards the sound of his name, and it slowly began to get louder.

He came upon his teammate Kisei who was shouting for him, and telling him to come out. He sighed walking up behind the kid and tapping him on the back “No need to be so noisy about it. You know where my clan lives, you could’ve just stopped by and asked where I was.” He said as he tucked his hands into his pockets “So why exactly are you looking for me Kisei?” he asked a bit of interest in his voice. He was bored himself, and he was sure that Kisei at least would be of some use in the relieving himself of the boredom.

“Oh dear!” He shouted from surprise. When the Ushinatta turned to see who was there, he was confronted with the man of the hour himself. (Well, boy of the hour[/i], he still had some muscles to build and height to grow but he was getting there. Kisei ignored that part of being noisy.) Though the part of his clan caught his attention. “Oh I do?” He searched for any recollection of hearing about Ryo’s home. “Um, nope, haven’t heard. I mean, I know you’re from the Knetegawa clan.” the sides of his cheek quirking in thought. “But I haven’t really heard too terribly much on them.” He confessed. Although Kisei could’ve done some research on them… but he didn’t so that was that. He wondered if he and Alfa were written down on some database somewhere.

Kisei relaxed. Impaling the ground with his umbrella and leaning on it before he answered his friend. “Well it isn’t so much a matter of looking as finding. I’m sure you can agree.” He grinned softly before answering more seriously. “I was looking for you cause I was bored. Mostly.” He shrugged. “Though, judging by your face I’m gonna take a guess that you’re bored too huh?” Kisei yawned, suddenly pretty tired. But not as bored as he was before, having found his team mate. Ryo the Puppeteer and Kisei the Weapon’s Master, he wondered. “So what’s up with the squad lately? Anyone new that I missed out on?” Kisei had been busy with his own missions and private projects recently, basically disappearing off the face of the Sunagakure, and hadn’t had time for squad activites. Kind of irresponsible of him but hopefully not too bad, but they had to have had some people assigned to this squad by now. His thoughts wandered to who they could be. Did they have a sensei now? Was the third teammate cool?

In any case the young Ushinatta would at least have Ryo to depend on. The thought was sickeningly sentimental and he couldn’t help a quirky smile. Well what do you know? The day was looking up already.

This caught Ryo by surprise. He looked around and shook his head slowly “You could easily figure out where I live. My clan doesn’t exactly hide their homes in any of the villages they live in. Ask around you’d find it quick enough. Still, I suppose it doesn’t really matter at this point in time.” Hearing the reason that he was being sought out he nodded his head in agreement “Yes, I have been a bit bored. I met our sensei and he is interesting to say the least. We are going to be put through the ringer there is no doubt about that. In fact, I’d get ready for broken bones, or some sleepless nights in a hospital. As for anyone who is new, yes. We have a new member, and he is…. unique. He is covered in stitches in several places, and that is very interesting. I really want to get closer to him. Maybe I can figure out more about it. Still, that’s all the news I have for you.”

He said simply as he moved to walk down the street to keep walking and talking. There was no reason to stand in one place, and Ryo never liked to stay in one place for long anyway. He glanced back at Kisei and continued “Well, let me rephrase, the news about the squad. As for me, I’m working to bring my first daughter into the world, I have another son since the last time we spent time together, and I’m waiting for my mother to return from a summit by all the branches of my clan for my birthday gift which is coming up soon enough. Now, that is all that I have to tell you. So, come along Kisei, would you tell me what news you have for me. At the least, you should have something of interest to say.” He said turning his head back to face the direction that he was walking.

Kisei shrugged at Ryo's response about his family. "I suppose so." He wondered what the Knetegawa clan was like, and while Kisei was a bit curious about Ryo's family he could ask at later. Kisei listened to Ryo's description of their new sensei and teammate. While he wasn't too keen on meeting their teacher anytime soon their teammate, whoever they were, they sounded promising at least. The Ushinatta smiled slyly at Ryo's later comment. It appeared they were really getting the whole group dynamics going, and it seemed that Kisei had some matchmaking to do in the future. Oh he couldn't wait to meet the rest of the time.

Kisei walked down with Ryo, listening to what he had to say for himself. The comment about his daughter threw him off for a bit but then remembered how he referred to Kuro as his 'son'. So that meant three puppets now, wow. Since Ryo specialized in animal puppets, from what saw during their last encounter, were his new children different animals or wolves as well? His thoughts were silenced when Ryo put him on the spotlight. "Well I haven't really done much recently? You know?" He tried. "I mean, my brother is working on a new weapon for me but there seem to be some complications. I haven't seen it yet but I hear it's pretty awesome." If sounds of chainsaws coming from their basement were any indicator. "But honestly, other than that? I went on a few missions, you know, for weapon materials, not much happened recently. Though I have been recently reading on the different clans around the Sunagakure. It was interesting to hear about the histories of this village." He ended. With a flourish he brought his umbrella above his head and clicked it open. Letting the shade fall on him. "Ah, much better."

Looking at Ryo, Kisei remembered he had been missing from a lot of his team's activities, the puppeteer had some experiences Kisei had missed out on. He didn't like that. Communication is essential for anything and teamwork most of all. If he wanted to be a part of this team he needed to become more involved, that much was clear. "You know, the two of us should go on a mission together sometime. Just a thought. For the future." He said with a grin.

This was a response that Ryo wasn’t exactly expecting, but it was fine with him. He didn’t much care if the boy did things that were intelligent, in his eyes. Still, he only shook his head as he let the comment drop. Walking along with the weapon master he listened intently to what Kisei was saying. Hearing that Kisei wasn’t doing much he shook his head slowly “I’m sorry, I don’t really know how that is. If I’m not doing ninja work, or making puppets I am looking after my younger siblings. It is a handful to look after twins.”

Hearing that Kisei had gone on a mission for weapon materials made sense after all, someone would need to find materials for weapons so they could make a new one. Much like he and his clan went out to find organic components and animal parts for their puppets he imagined that it must be similar for those who wanted to make weapons, items, or other tools. Listening to what Kisei was saying he nodded his own head in agreement smiling “Yes, researching the clans was a very interesting thing for me. Needless to say, that it has been a point of contention for my clan. We weren’t all that welcome when we first arrived. There was a small rivalry between my clan and the progenitors of the puppetry arts. Thankfully, the only real dispute we have right now is a matter of artistic tastes. They still mostly use human shaped puppets, but well I find those kinds of puppets to be rather....” he let the sentence trail off shaking his head in a sad expression.

Watching the youth seeing him open the umbrella above their heads Ryo only shrugged his shoulders in dismissal “Well, that’s one use for an umbrella. Seems to be the best use for one here. After all, it doesn’t rain all that much in the desert.” He mused more to himself than to anyone else. The suggestion of a mission made him smile nodding in agreement “yes indeed, I would be happy to do so. A mission is always a good way to show our experience. I am sure there are missions that would go by much smoother with a pair of shinobi working to complete it.” He said looking up at the cloudless sky thinking of midori and the beautiful daughter she would be.

Ryo had him lost when at Pragen- Progin? Progeny-something ‘of the puppetry arts’. Though he picked back up on ‘dispute’. He could see where Ryo was coming from, as well as reason he only used animal puppets. Kisei didn’t really understand puppet aesthetics and probably wouldn’t ever get it. I mean, put a weapon in front of him and he’ll critic the hell out of it. Puppets though? They seemed way over his head. “Puppets are terrifying in any situation really.” He offered. He wondered just how many weapons he could fit in there, the thought practically had him drooling in anticipation.

Kisei smirked at Ryo’s comment about the weather. “Yea, we’ve have a bit of a dry spell haven’t we?” It always seemed to be dry here, it was amazing the village could support this many people and not quickly run out of resources. “Not too bad.” He thought to himself. Kisei was glad that Ryo wasn’t opposed to running a few missions with him. The injuries he was getting were starting to pile up and going into any kind of mission already half exhausted was a bad idea. Not wanting to spend a sunny day in the desert under an umbrella, Kisei decided a change in scenery was well needed.

The route already familiar to him. It would take awhile for him to get there however and he would have to keep Ryo entertained the whole way. Immediately a game of tag crossed his mind. However he wasn’t in the mood for a full sprint. In the end he decided to walk and bring Ryo with him through the shadiest area on his way to the back side of the village. No reason to overheat while trying to stay cool right? He just hoped that Ryo would follow his lead when he started walking. “You know I’m wondering, why did you become a ninja? It seems like your whole family is are puppeteers, why not leave that to them?”

Ryo glanced over at the comment about puppets being scary regardless of the situation. He shrugged his shoulder lightly “Most Shinobi weapons are deadly, and effective. Surely anyone can make a puppet look terrifying. My clan has mastered the art of making Organic Puppets and Beast Puppets. We can take the animal contracted summons that ninja summon and steal them to use them as puppets. It isn’t quite as sophisticated as Human puppets, but my clan can still make those should we want. Not only that, but our puppets look like animals, and as you’ve seen I can make them move as if they were living animals, they even have the scents of animals because of the skin. So, they can confuse the clans that use ninken, ninneko, or the like.” He explained his voice sounding excited and happy as he was talking about the way puppets were made.

He nodded his head slowly smiling looking up at the sky “Yes, but we are in a desert. Our dry spells really last a long time. Still, from what my mom has told me there are lots of wells fed from other lands and some of the mountains that surround the land of wind. Who knows, but our village will last through it all the same.”

Kisei seemed to want to go somewhere, and it was through some shade that made him relax. He smiled and shrugged his shoulders deciding that Kisei knew where he wanted to lead the pair of them so he followed after his partner. The question caught Ryo off guard as no one had ever asked him that before. Looking ahead he spoke “I want to be the best puppeteer that my clan has ever had, as well be the head of my clan. My father is recognized as one of the best of my clan, and in my clan women are more recognized than men, because our clan was started by a woman. My father was also the previous Wolf Puppeteer of my clan. Why did you become a shinobi Kisei? Surely there are plenty of weapon masters in your clan that are towing that line.”

Kisei smiled at Ryo's explanation. It sounded like Ryo knew what he wanted out of the ninja life. A goal, direction, how... nice. Enviable.  However as for Kisei's own ambitions, "Spoilers." He teased, his smile unwavering.. "If you wanna know about that, you're gonna have to wait..." Kisei turned suddenly, looking down the street. They were making good time. He took the new street and continued on his way. "As I was saying, I have a surprise for you, but all in due time, just hold on for a little" Kisei clarified. He held every intention of holding up his promise, but if he was gonna spill his life story he was going to do so in a more fitting place.

After a bit of walking Kisei was able to locate what he was looking for. Behind a row of buildings and next to his own house, you'd find the Ushinatta's own private paradise. A single tree amongst the sand. Tall and proud, but, dead, at the same time. There was nothing special about this place but if you asked Kisei, he would say that this was his home. He twirled on his heel back to face Ryo.

"So, we're here." He sang cheerily. "And I know you had a question, so, here's what I suggest." Reaching into his back pocket he pulled out a spare coin, and showing it to Ryo saying. "A simple game." He twisting the coin into his palm he brought his thumb under it before flicking it high into the air.

A flicker of light reflecting in his eyes and it spun. When it came to eye level he quickly recollected it, pressing it down against the top of his left hand, the right hand covering the result. "If you call it right, you get to ask one question. Which I will truthfully and wholly answer. If you get it wrong, you still get a question, but you will get only the answer I tell you." Kisei smirked, a excited glint to his violet eyes. To this game, there were three total end outcomes. Two of which were in Ryo's favor. Two were common answers. But the one is the secret. Which of the three answers would Ryo choose? Briefly he considered how his current interest in games was bordering on the obsessive. Poor Ryo...

"So what do you say? You in?

Hearing that he would have to wait for what should be a simple answer to his question only made Ryo frown deeply, but he said nothing about it, and made no objections. He followed Kisei silently his hands folding behind his back as he walked with Kisei. Ryo himself didn’t know where he was being led, but he didn’t see any reason to be nervous. There was also no reason that Kisei would lead him to somewhere that he would come to harm. Looking around the streets he noticed that they weren’t all that far away from his own home, another couple of miles and he would be on the outskirts of his family’s home.

Looking at the dead tree he looked and saw the fact that despite it was dead it was still taller than most trees. He wasn’t sure how a tree like this could’ve grown here to begin with, but then again, he was only interested in the tree because its bark was still hard enough to perhaps provide a good frame for a puppet. Of course, this was not his home, nor his tree so he would have to let it go for now. Instead he looked to Kisei with a raised brow looking at the coin he thought about the question and shrugged “What kind of game?”

The rules of the game were simple and he just shrugged his shoulders “I call heads, and I want the original question I asked answered. It’s that simple. You don’t have to worry about anything super serious, and being that I told you the same already I don’t see why you need to have this little game.” With a sigh and a shrug, he shook his head again “Alright, Flip the coin I call heads, and that is the end of that.” He said very simply crossing his arms over his chest watching the coin carefully.

So he went with the second answer, not unexpected. Kisei sucked a hints, and subtly, and friendship- Wow it's a wonder he found someone who could tolerate him for so long. He'd have to make it up to Ryo later.

The Ushinatta sent him a sly smirk before swinging the umbrella back down, it's tip prodding into the ground. The teen nonchalantly flipping the coin. Without looking back at it he caught it in the palm of his left hand. The coin proudly displaying heads. He sent a soft smile toward Ryo. Slipping the coin back into his pocket. "Well, where should I start?" Kisei leaned more onto his umbrella, further pressing it deeper into the sandy earth.

"The reason I became a ninja? Not the easiest question to answer, but I got don't worry." He assured.

"The reason I became a ninja, when I first became a ninja I thought I did it not to be alone, and that being useful to the village I live in would be a good thing for me as well." The whole truth. Kisei remembered. He swallowed reflexively though his smile didn't hesitate. "Though simply put, I guess you could say-" Wiggling his eyebrows. "-that I became a ninja because that kind of life was all I've known. I'm a ninja for myself, my own ambitions for these unique weapons I wield, chakra tech." He gestured to his umbrella. "But also for my family."

His eyes glinted with a darker view than the slightly area of the Sunagakure. They were watching a whole different world. His smile betraying his true emotions, smug and proud in the defiance of the weight on his shoulders. His umbrella supporting as much weight as his legs. The Ushinatta tilted his head slightly. Trying to get a better view of his teammate. "I remember you asking me about my clan..." He paused, unsure how to proceed. "Yes, there were quite a few weapon masters in my clan, everyone really, but not many of them would like to be ninja. My brother and I an obvious exception. It's not very much, we're not that close where I'm from. But if search for the Ushinatta clan in one of the archives I'm sure you'll find something. My brother was very dedicated to our history." He sighed, finishing his monologue. "Not something I could say for a large number of my people." He said with finality. It was a bit much to lay down on Ryo so he left off there.

Watched Kisei and raised a brow as the coin was flipped. He smiled to himself seeing that it was heads, he was usually very good at this kind of game. As soon as he saw it he then looked to Kisei in order to determine the reaction of what was happening and going on. He leaned against the tree folding his arms over his chest and watching his partner with a silent expression on his face. Hearing the whole reason, he nodded his head lightly with a smile “Well, I have to say that is a very interesting reason. I thought a clan with weaponry like yours would all be shinobi. I suppose that not all clans do things the same way though, so I really shouldn’t be surprised.”

He stood up straight and looked at Kisei with a smile “Well, in the spirit of honesty. I shall tell you a bit more about my truth. You know that my father is not around, he died on a mission. It was only my mother and my older sister Reina. Reina is the one who taught me how to be a puppet master. She trained me up in the art of the puppet and our clan’s style of it. Yet, no matter what she constantly looked down at me. Most of the clan did as well. You see females in the clan are more respected than the men because my clan was founded by a woman. Everyone is so excited to see what kind of leader my sister will be, but they have never considered my ability. I am not going to go quietly and accept being second in line. I will surpass my sister and become the next head of the Knetegawa clan. No matter what.”

He said as he walked around to look and see where they were “Of course, having two younger siblings who look up to me have helped drive me on even when my own drive isn’t enough. So, all in all I have many reasons for becoming a great shinobi and putting my clan’s name in the same history of master puppeteers like Sasori, and Kankuro.” Turning around again he looked at the building smiling “So, where exactly are we? Is this your home, your lab, or somewhere else entirely?” he asked stuffing his hands into his pockets.

"You would think so right?" Maybe if ninja still existed there and everyone wasn't too busy killing each other. Yea... Kisei's history wasn't a story he liked to tell, too many bad memories. There were some spicy moments, end of the world and all that but those were very far and few in between. He'd gotten away with suppressing those memories for the most part, though they had a bad habit of springing to the surface at some bad times.

To hear of Ryo's side of history, was somewhat strange. He could understand being overlooked and underestimated and ignored but he never thought of it as a bad thing. Though his partners attitude toward his problems was something he could whole-heartedly agree with.

Ryo was the underwolf in the clan, much like his puppets so it seemed. A little sibling/clan rivalry wouldn't hurt too much, the puppeteer looked like he enjoyed a challenge.

He also made a mental note to search how Kankuro and and Sasori were later, they seemed important.

The young Ushinatta followed his partner's gaze and found himself looking at the house behind him. It was a pretty small looking place. A simple rectangular one story house with an upper attic. There was a lab actually, under rather far underneath the house itself. It was Alfa's secret lab for his own private projects. The legality of it was questionable but was never questioned. Lucky them.

"Oh this place? Remember when we sparred for the first time?" Swinging his umbrella back over his head he continued. "Well, this is the place I wanted to come back to. So welcome, Ryo Knetegawa, to my house. While it may not look like much it's actual pretty nice." He walked to Ryo's side. "I would take you on a tour of the house, but I doubt you don't have clearance." He smiled.

Kisei was a bit iffy on visitors. While he seriously doubted the Sunagakure would care about bringing fellow ninja into the house, his brother was quite adamant against it. Alfa was an extremely territorial beast and didn't tolerate people he didn't specifically inspect first, Kisei excluded.

"So... where do you live again?"

Ryo nodded his head as what he suspected was true enough. This was indeed Kisei’s house and Ryo instantly felt super guilty. His clan lived in a compound, and it was a nice place. Yet, this wasn’t such a place. He didn’t ever want to take Kisei to his home, he wasn’t aware of his difference from most people. He was glad to hear that it was pretty nice, and it may not look like much, but home is where the heart is and so Ryo was happy that Kisei indeed had a home he seemed to like. Then there was one thing that caught his attention and he raised a brow “I don’t have clearance? Is that a family thing?” he asked as he tilted his head “My clan has no such restrictions, only that visitors are not allowed in any rooms marked with the clan’s symbol.” He said touching the purple blood drop tattoo under his right eye.

Hearing that question Ryo gulped loudly and blushed looking up into the sky putting a hand behind his head so he could rub the back of it “u-uh…w-well…I don’t live all that far away…” he muttered softly in his clear embarrassment “I-I suppose fair is fair and so if you wanted I could take you there and show you around.” He said as he looked to Kisei smiling losing his nervousness “I do have to warn you however, it isn’t the same as your home. I am not sure you will like it.” He said keeping his smile before he turned to look towards the west “It is only about a ten minute trip for a ninja from here.” He informed his partner looking back at him waiting for something not sure what to do next.

Kisei nodded at Ryo's guesture to his tatto. Besides surprised he was also somewhat jealous. What kind of family let their child get a tattoo? I suppose every clan had their own dynamics and rules. He gave the Knetegawa tattoo another look. Clan pride everywhere huh?

The ushinatta gave a mischievous smile at Ryo's flustered face. "Nonsense, I'm sure your place will be fine. You guys don't challenge newcomer to mortal combat do you?" He waved off with a wink. "Just let me quickly check on something before we leave."

He ran into the house and left his umbrella in the hanger area, as he headed towards his bedroom. Perhaps it was done now. Alfa said he'd leave the new weapon where he could find it once he was finished. And to his knowledge his brother was locked down in his laboratory since this morning.

Upon entering his room a giant firmly cloth-wrapped outline of a child's pinwheel lay on his bed. The cloth was wrapped to avoid giving prematurely damaging it, as well as to function as it's sheath. The wrapping made a decent covering until a proper container could be made for it. A little off to the side extra cloth hung sagging from the weapon wrappings, a sash to sling around the shoulders. A boundless grin spread across his face as he donned his new weapon. He would need to thank Alfa later on.

Kisei knew he probably shouldn't go to a clan house heavily armed but who cares about that? Swordsmen showed off their sheathed weapons all the time. What would be the harm in bringing this "children's toy"?

Now slightly more armed than when he came in, the Ushinatta exited the house with a weighty pinwheel strapped to his back and mysterious umbrella in hand. He waved towards his partner with a widened smile. "Sorry I took so long, my brother made me a new present and I couldn't resist bringing it along." With a flick of the wrist he brought his umbrella above their heads and snapped it open, bringing them some shade. "So, care to lead?"

Hearing that Kisei thought his place would be fine was a bit embarrassing for Ryo. He knew his place would be fine, but it was a bit more upscale than this. This made him nervous as he didn’t want to come off in the wrong way. He waited as he watched his teammate rush into his house.

He was back sometime later with a new umbrella in hand. Ryo looked up at it and smiled nodding his head “Nice Umbrella.” He said simply before he looked around “Yes, I’ll lead the way. Yet, I don’t think you’ll need that.” He commented as he leapt up onto a nearby roof and began to leap from roof to roof until he was within sight of his family’s home.

The Knetegawa home was fairly large, and the compound it was on was too far away from the nearest building so that no other shinobi could leap in from them to land inside of their walls. Ryo landed outside the front gates that were open right now, and looked back to Kisei blushing intensely “U-um…. welcome to my home….” He said clearly nervous. He walked through the doors with Kisei at his side.

There were a few others of his clan moving about, but not all that many. He and Kisei would’ve only just barely made it half way through the front garden when the sound of screaming. Ryo’s two younger siblings came running out of the house and straight up to Ryo tackling him to the ground. They were both talking over each other. Nothing could be said, but then his brother noticed the other person. Jumping up he pointed to Kisei “Who are you?” he asked in a high-pitched accusing voice.

Ryo groaned as he slowly got up standing his sister up next to him “Hey Ryuke, that’s not nice! This is Kisei, he is on my team.” He sighs and puts a hand on both his siblings’ head “This is Ryuke.” The boy had the same tattoos that Ryo had, and his hair was a grey color instead of the white that Ryo had. He pats his sister’s head of white hair. Her eyes were green as emeralds and under them were the same tattoos “And this is Yuko. They are my younger siblings. They are just starting to get training in puppetry. Between me and my older sister Reina we are getting them there.”

At that point Yuko smiles up at Ryo then Kisei “You should take him to meet mama. She just came back from the summit.”

This made Ryo’s eyebrows shoot up in shock at this it seemed that this was news to him “Oh, really? Already?” He turned to look back at Kisei smiling “Well, I guess you can come meet my mother, and most likely Reina as well. After that I’ll show you around the rest of the place.” He said trying to down play his home. He was very curious what Kisei thought. The moment he and Kisei turned to walk into the building that was the house he looked to his teammate “So, um…what do you think of my home so far? Also, my two younger siblings?” After a moment, he smiled softly “They like you. They actually spoke to you, and didn’t try to use a jutsu on you.”

Kisei tilted curiously to Ryo's suggestion on the new umbrella. When he thought about the shape of the newly forged weapon it's shape wasn't too dissimilar to an umbrella. If an umbrella was mostly flat. He shrugged. "Thanks."

When Ryo started up the rooftops Kisei was left with little choice but to follow his guide.

To say that he trusted Ryo would be a lie and an understatement at the same time. What he felt was more, 'selective trust'. He trusted his partner to lead him, but when he lead them to the front gates to a rather extensive compound doubt was looking rather appealing. Thats when Ryo explained that this was his home. He looked nervously to the compound then back to Ryo. Then back to the compound. Dude, you live in a prison. He words were on the tip of his tongue. But Kisei didn't have the heart to say that. The weapon master crafted an anxious smile to his white haired partner. 'Hopefully he doesn't question it.'

Kisei watched on astounded. His 'home' seemed more like it's only private city. Which I guess it was. Though surprised at first he was really interested when Ryo introduced his siblings. "Well it's good to meet you to, Yukio and you as well Ryuke." He waved. They seemed nice, and Ryo seemed pretty responsible for his age. Kisei wondered of the woman who held this clan together.

Ryo's mother, would she be a massive bulking thing or an elegant puppetress? Aristocrat wasn't out of the picture either. He followed Ryo to the new house. The Ushinatta would shrug at his first question. "Well- I mean, it's big. So there's that. Pretty well organized. You're brother and sister don't seem too bad either." Ryo's second statement had him a bit worried. "They can cast jutsu already...?" Wow. "Maybe I'll challenge them someday." He said to himself. Readjusting the pinwheel strapped to his back he asked, "What's your mother like? You haven't said too much on her."

OOC: Forgiven ^_^ Just let me know if I messed up somehow or if the post needs editing. (Or spelling corrections, I notice I have a lot of those.)

The two twins rushed ahead of them leading Ryo and Kisei even though their older brother knew well where his mother was likely to be. The teammates passed several doors and hallways some of which had the Knetegawa marking on them, while most did not. It seemed that this clan was used to non-members walking among its halls and rooms. Of course, the Knetegawa had nothing to hide from any of the villages they had a branch in, and as such they were open to their kages.

Listening to what Kisei was saying he couldn’t help but smile nodding his head “Yes, it is really big, but there are plenty of us to keep housed. We also have the library, the workshop, and a few other places like that. We need the space to hold it all.” The bit about his siblings and challenging them made him laugh “Please don’t they are still only just going through the jutsu that we learn at the academy, and of course the puppetry technique. They can’t hold their own in a fight just yet.”

After a moment, they arrived at a set of double doors. Ryo cleared his throat before pushing them open. The twins were nowhere in sight of anyone at this point. Stepping inside of the room he motioned for Kisei to follow. When they were both inside Kisei could see two women, both of whom were similar in feature and dress, but one was far younger. She stood closer to the door and had her head bowed. The brow coat she was wearing reached down to her shins and had the purple blood drop of their clan on the back of it. She was facing the older woman who was sitting on a large cushion on a raised platform.

Despite her apparent age the woman was truly still a beauty and she held a refined poise about her even while she was seated. As she caught sight of the two young boys entering she smiled warmly “Ryo, it is good to see you. I had heard you were placed in a team. Is this one of your teammates?” she asked slowly rising to her feet. As she did so Kisei could see that Ryo’s mother was far more lithe and slim looking than the younger woman in the room whom had far more obvious muscle.

He nodded his head quickly and gently gestured to Kisei “Yes mother, this is Kisei, he is on my squad. He is a weapon master. His name is Kisei Ushinatta. I heard you had made it back from the summit already and I thought it would be best for him to meet you, and you to meet him.” He said bowing his head formerly.

Now that she wasn’t so close it was easy to see that Ryo’s mother wore the same brown coat as her daughter, but under it she wore a tunic of loose silk, and a long skirt of the same color fabric as the coat. He could also see that she wore a harness identical to Ryo’s own, but while his only had two scrolls, hers had every space filled. She gave him a polite bow smiling “It is a pleasure to meet you Kisei, I am Maka Knetegawa. Current head of the Sunagakure branch, of the Knetegawa clan, since my husbands’ death. I hope that Ryo has been proving himself a worthy teammate.”

At this last sentence, the younger woman glared at Ryo to gauge his reaction instead of Kisei’s.

Kisei chuckled a little at Ryo's request. "Alright, but if they challenge me first I'll go easy on them." He said jokingly. At the level those two were at he would have to stop trying before it was fair. Assuming Ryo was telling the truth about them only learning from the academy. Kisei had his suspicions that they picked up a trick or two from their family.

Letting his teammate and his siblings lead he followed behind blindly. He thought it strange how such a massive compound had escaped him after all this time. Absentmindedly the Ushinatta wondered how long such a place has been standing. It was probably older than him. Not that it was hard. The twins had lead them past a set of double doors which Ryo gestured for him to follow.

Before them stood two women, one older and one younger. For a moment, he honestly thought that both of them were Ryo's sisters.  Then he heard the eldest one speak and his mistake was rather apparent by that point. When she spoke it was like royalty, or something close to it. Maybe it was more in how she held herself.

The weapon master felt unsteady with the way she smiled, though it was warm he had a feeling that there was more beneath there. Kisei flinched somewhat when Ryo mentioned 'Ushinatta'. He didn't remember ever telling him specifically that name but then guessed that Ryo pieced together what he told him. Looking back on it he might as well have told him that straight out. Feeling a little strain with the cloth-wrapped pinwheel slung around his shoulders he adjusted the straps. Feeling slightly intimated by the woman's own equipment. Reminiscent of what he'd seen Ryo wear before. There was a gut feeling that he ought to try and not make a bad first impression. Best follow that feeling.

"A pleasure to meet you as well, ma'am." Awkwardly curtsying. He started to heat up. What the heck was he supposed to do? Manners weren't exactly a lifesaver before he came here, his "people" skills were "rusty". (If they existed at all really). He planned his next words carefully. Enunciating the words thoughtfully. "Ryo has been an, excellent, teammate. Best I could've hoped for." He smiled nervously. To be honest Kisei didn't like how she was looking at Ryo and not him. Though he could appreciate not having to face those eyes. "Extremely talented he is, couldn't have hoped for better." The Ushinatta threw in for extra effect, hopefully having a positive effect on the woman.

When they got out of here Kisei would have to ask Ryo more about his mother, and his clan, because there was a bit of explaining that needed to be explained to him.

Maka watched the young boy that her son had brought home and she smiled warmly at him looking more the motherly type than she had previously appeared to be. She nodded her head looking to her son with that same warm and cheerful smile “Ah, well I am glad to hear that. He was trained the best way we knew how. I am glad that our training has paid off, and he is contributing to the village.” She turned her attention back to Kisei and pat him gently on the head “Thank you for coming to visit us. We are happy to have you. We aren’t so secretive as some of the other clans in the village. Now, Ryo you and Kisei can do as you like. Reina and I have much to discuss. You and I shall talk later.”

Ryo bowed to his mother smiling widely before he gave a slight smirk of triumph to his sister “Of course mother.” He gently goes up to Kisei and pats his shoulder to show him it was time to go.

As they were leaving Maka spoke again “It was good to meet you Kisei, please feel free to come in to see Ryo or anyone whenever you like. I am sure Ryo told you the one rule about non-clan members.” She moved over to Ryo and kissed his cheek smiling “I am proud of you Ryo, and I love you.” With that she turned and headed back to the raised platform.

The other girl clearly Ryo’s older sister sighed heavily shaking her head “At least you aren’t shaming our clan.” She said with reluctant affection before going to stand closer to her mother.

Once outside of the Room Ryo looks to Kisei looking slightly embarrassed as he led Kisei through the house towards his bedroom “Um, yeah that’s my mother. The other girl who was rude and didn’t introduce herself is my older sister Reina. Ever since I got through the academy things have been…off between her and I.” he explained before opening a sliding door and revealing his bedroom. It was minimalist in comforts, but more than half the room was taken up by a large table, and shelves lined with tools, bits of wood, half shaped limbs for puppets, and various other things that were for a puppeteer. On the desk were three folded up bundles one next to the other. Ryo blushed softly as he gestured to his room “This is my room.”

Kisei smiled nervously when Miss Maka patted his head. Quickly shooting a equally distressed look to his teammate. Quickly shifting his attention back to the Matriarch when she began talking. He followed Ryo example and bowed to her. It was deeper than was his usual but he didn't want to under do it. That was when Ryo signaled that it was time for them to leave.

Miss Maka had a few words for Kisei as they left. "Thank you Mrs. Knetegawa." He nodded politely, following Ryo's lead on their way out.

It seemed Ryo was as out of it as Kisei was. He listened curiously to his explanation. The sibling comment immediately rang a bell with his own brother. "Hm, I wonder why?" A moment later the puppeteer would open the way to his room. Exposing a rather simplistic area, save for the half being taken up by his work space. The Ushinatta was entranced by the sight of Ryo's work place. The view was so surreal. Looking at the tools, and parts scattered through the room, it was oddly reminiscent of the scare minutes his spent in the laboratory. He couldn't help a soft smile.

"It's pretty nice here Ryo. I love your work space."
Gesturing to the table with a pleased tone about him. "It almost makes me want to give puppetry a try." He teased.

Kisei eased himself into the room, minding his umbrella and the pinwheel strapped around his back. Turning to Ryo with a curious tilt to his head. "I hope you don't mind me intruding on your home. I haven't exactly been the best guest, but... thanks for bringing me here."

Ryo moved over to the desk and pulled a bundle open pulling out a long sand colored coat. This was the same coat that his mother and sister had been wearing. He pulled it on smiling widely down at it as he shuddered shifting his body and loving that he was feeling so complete as a Knetegawa with it on. Looking to Kisei he smiled warmly to him “Thank you. If you ever did take up puppetry, I would be happy to bring you here and take you on as an honorary Knetegawa.” He said as he undid the other bundles and quickly put away the two very different coats away in his closet.

Turning to face his teammate he bowed deeply before shaking his head “You have been one of the best guests I could’ve brought home. I am glad that you came here, and I am honored that you showed me your home. We are a team after all, I want us to be friends. So, friends bring friends to their houses. At least that is what I’ve been told. Yet, you see, my temper, and other such didn’t allow me to make many friends. Soooo, you’re technically the first friend I’ve ever brought home.” He said blushing softly. He then looked outside and nodded his head “Well, let me take you on the long route back out.”

With that he showed Kisei the rest of the estate as best he could, but he simply waved at doors with the Knetegawa clan emblem on them. He didn’t let Kisei go into these rooms, but that was what was supposed to be. When they arrived back at the front gates Ryo looked to Kisei smiling “You are welcome to come and visit again. I hope you don’t make yourself a stranger. I shall see you when we have a mission next.” He said extending his hand to shake his partner’s. Only when his partner shook his hand and left would he turn to go back into his home.

Kisei smiled kindly to Ryo. "I wouldn't mind being part of your family, those young twins seem nice anyhow." He chuckled. Recalling the intriguing pair. Ryo brought out a light coat, reminiscent of the one he had seen others don around the estate.

He blushed a bit at his teammate's words, though with his pale complexion no doubt it looked like something was wrong with him. Forcing his sight done to the floor trying to hide his embarrassment. 'He wanted to be friends?' The Ushinatta was under the impression that they were already friends. Perhaps fighting alongside each other and injuring your partner in a sparring match did not qualify as friendship in this world? Who cared, he actually has a friend now! His first one here!

As Ryo introduced the rest of the compound to him Kisei was constantly astounded by how rich his family was. Generations family wealth he supposed. As Kisei was about to leave Ryo offered his hand to the Ushinatta. He looked at it curiously for a moment before finishing the gesture with his half of the handshake. Leaving for home was a bit emptier than usual. He had his partner to blame. Showing him around his home, introducing him to his family. He was already looking forward to their next meeting. Kisei whispered with faint hope as he walked home. "Until then."
