Find anything of use, and return it. Though be warned, the place is treacherous, there’s no telling what monsters are down there.”
Mission details: The ninja, through whatever means they are able, jutsu, underwater machine, or swimming make their way to the depths of an oceanic ridge, where the fallen city of the sky lies. Within it is lost knowledge, Fuuton jutsu scrolls, wealth, weapons, technology, designs, Bring back what you are able to. But be warned, there’s something down there.
The monster lurking there will need to be beaten for you to escape. It’s a black skinned beast which seems to be able to change its shape. It is able to form its body into tendrils or limbs which hit with B rank strength or can be moulded into B rank blades, capable of breaking or cutting through skin, flesh and bone. His legs dangled over the pier and dipped up to his shins into the cool and calming waters of the sea. Seito's eyes reflected off the bright sun high in the sky with minimal clouds to hide underneath. However, none shined brighter than his headband that symbolized his loyalty to the village that has taken care of him since he was young. Seito may have appeared to be lightly armed due to a simple tanto strapped over his right shoulder that had a white sheath and hilt, but was representative of the Hattori clan. Most of his other shinobi tools were covered on his hips by a large brown duster-esque coat that covered his arms from the beating sun. Equipped with the traditional shinobi pants and sandals, he was prepared for most things. The one tool that he needed was always with him, his brain.
The mission location was on a smaller island at a disclosed and secluded single pier that already had one row boat fit to seat two shinobi with two paddles. Seito had not planned on using the rowboat because running there would probably be much easier and quicker. However, the need to leave things on a boat to transport items would be helpful. The chunin was not the commanding officer in this mission so, of course, he would let...Seito pulled out his mission objective out of his pocket to look for the name...Yuki, Burittsu. 'Hmmm...' It was an interesting choice, Seito wondered how Burittsu would use his ninjutsu to make this mission easier. Seito was slightly lazy but often preferred the term, efficient.
Ears propped up as a guard dog to hear any steps or signs that someone would be approaching. The code word for this mission would follow as a pair, the first would say 'Unknown' while the second would respond 'Knowns', this way the two shinobi would know who to work with without giving any information to anyone who does not need to know. While this mission in particular was not entirely full of intel, it had the possibility to bring back a lot of intel, which is just as important. In fact, so important that many other Kiri shinobi did not know that these two were preparing for this mission simply because the village did not want other shinobi to ambush the two, take the intel and sell for retirement. It often puzzled Seito how the administration had such little trust in their shinobi while trusting them so much at the same time because the power that shinobi wield. It was a complex relationship.
Regardless...the shinobi tried to think of a way to get to the depths of the ocean but he figured the Yuki already had a plan for that. Seito was more concerned with what he may find in the temple. There were rumors of an incredibly powerful beast with the ability to shape-shift. Seito was going to get with Burittsu to create a handsign to reach other to signify that we are who we appear to be. Another concern that Seito had was navigating the temple. As well as, while fighting this monster the two had to be very careful on using techniques that would not hinder the integrity of the temple. If the temple collapsed, the two would be in serious trouble. As one could tell, Seito was slightly concerned of many things that could happen but there was no way that he was willing that his first A ranked mission was going to turn to a failure. While the chunin would have been nervous in most cases, the cool and collected water dancing around his feet and in his toes kept him grounded. He felt fine. He felt good.
