Zinan
D-rank
"Seriously? Again?" Those were the only two words that the shaggy headed youth could mutter from the tree branch on which he was perched, before a hawk landed next to him. It was a messenger bird. He had just gotten back to Konoha from the Village Hidden in the Clouds and was hoping for a day or two off. He had a book that he had been trying to read for days. But now, he was being summoned, yet again, to the administration building. Zinan hoped that it was not for some stupid, D-rank mission again. Being unassigned to a team, he tended to draw the short straw for meaningless and belittling missions; like catching an old lady's dog, babysitting students at the Academy, or other nonsense missions.
Zinan reached over to the hawk and untied the message tube and opened it. He slid out the small, rolled, slip of paper, pocketted it momentarily, and tied the message tube back onto he waiting leg of the hawk. He offered his arm to the bird, who looked at him quizzically, before hopping onto it. With a deft hoist, Zinan lifted the bird into the air, where it leaped from his arm and took flight. The hawk angled itself towards the Village and disappeared over the treetops.
The young Kumonosu shinobi pulled the message back out from his pocket and unrolled it. REPORT TO THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, POST-HENCE. Those six words were the only thing written on the paper; Zinan knew this for sure, because he flipped the paper back and forth in search of more instructions. With a sigh, the genin stood to his feet, stable on the branch, and dropped to the forest floor below. He was told to report post-hence, meaning, he needed to get there fast. The ninja took off at a trot and closed the distance to the main portion of the Village. With a soft grunt, Zinan launched himself upwards and landed softly on the roof of the nearest building. He began to bound over the rooftops and closed in on the Administration building. Once inside, he found that the Hokage was not present, but found an aide that told him that he needed to report to his new sensei.
New sensei?! The order confused him. He had no idea that he was being assigned to a sensei or a team. Zinan had longed to be so assigned, but he never expected it to happen this soon. Many of the Hidden Leaf Shinobi were out and about, so the thought of a reorganization never occurred to Zinan. After a quick inquiry, Zinan found out his sensei would be found in the Konoha Military Police Force's Headquarters, in his office. His own office! That means he must have some position, right? And the Konoha Military Police Force! That was an organization that always intrigued the young man. It was historically comprised of Uchiha's but there were always some outsiders found among its ranks. Maybe this was an opportunity to join its forces.
Zinan left the Administration Building in a hurry and swiftly made his way across the Village to the Konoha Military Police Force Headquarters. Though he was stopped that the door and was given a strange look when he said that his sensei was in here, the officers that were present pointed him the right direction. He walked down the halls of the building to find the name of the man, that he was told would be his sensei, emblazoned on a door. The door read: UCHIHA KYOHEI. Zinan knocked on the door and waited. Surely, the man must be inside.
