- The Spoken Tale of the Kitsuchi:
The following tale has been retold by family to family with little discrepencies. The clan leader keeps an ancient manuscript of the original history.
Long before man learned of chakra the foxes of the forests had mastered the art twice over. The foxes who had shared their heart with man through pain and suffering grew closer with both nature and chakra. As the chakra ran through their tails it fueled some foxes tails to grow. From the transmutation of their tails they became more and more sentient and humanlike. Once the fox had grown nine tails they were known as foxborn Kitsune; these kitsune were capable of chakra manipulation unlike man could fathom. The mystic Kitsunes unique chakra manipulation became known as the FoxFire.
FoxFire was unlike any katon technique ever seen. To see the FoxFire was surely an omen of immeasureable gravity; the Kitsune were sworn protectors of forests and nature from where they were born. Once the foxborn kitsune grew their ninth and final tail they would return to the forest their first foxhole they had dug. Sworn to protect nature andat their home at all costs.
As man began to revolutionize their societies they also began to harvest trees and overtake the vast forests. Wrought with anger the Kitsune began to use their FoxFire against its creation, to avenge instead of protect nature. Soon s argeted areas surrounding the future city of Kirigakure as far as the forests of the Land of Fire had become a miniature war zone; the Kitsune had begun weaponizing their FoxFire, purging the threat to their home by killing humans as man killed life in their homes.
After many moons of fighting man had begun to gain the upper hand. Their were many more humans than there were Kitsune and the foxborn were quickly falling. Before long only one Kitsune, the oldest and most powerful known as Atyamu was left fighting the few dozen humans.
As Atyama began to retreat he questioned if his death would be worthy of the life he had held. Deciding to cease the fighting Atyama stood at the border of the country and faced the few dozen humans who were chasing him. With a bright purple flash Atyama's tell unleashed a dazzling display and placed his enemies in an illusion; save for one woman.
With her katana held out the woman called out to Atyams, "My name is Suchi! Why have you spared me demon?!" the woman named Suchi spoke loud and brashly but it was clesr she was the most pure woman of the bunch. Atyama had slain many of her comrades, even her husband. Atyama had stalked Suchi for many nights after battle.. She had become a sort of item to covet for the fox. He also watched her slay many of his fox brothers with her sword. The two of them understood each others hearts very we.
Atyama waved his humanlike paws and more bright purple foxfire sparkled before the woman.. Atyama spoke, "I have watched you cry over your comrades.. My name is Atyama. I cry with you." The kitsune stepped closer. "I know you seek love Suchi. I love manmade peace with nature. Will you give you word to uphold the sanctity of my home? I cannot slay anymore men with such a light heart any longer.. It is burning depravity into both mine, and you being."
Suchi couldnt hello but want to stroke the sly foxes fur.. Atyama was quite the creature to behold. "I seek forgiveness and solution. " Atyama pled to Suchi. " Swear to always uphold love for our home on earth and I will give you my own love, and power, in return. " Atyama flashed a smile at the curious woman, Suchi. "In return I will give your life my death, a gift capable of love and power like you have never imagined." as Atyama spoke Suchi was shown the wonders of chakra and the powerful source from where the FoxFire had come, the passion of Nature herself. It was as if his words were hypnotizing her.
Suchis brazen copper eyes sparkled purpke with the flames as she drank in each soft and smooth word from the fox
known as Atyama. With a silent nod Suchi sheathed her sword and shook the strange FoxFire away.. Looking into the fox known as Atyamas deep cerulean shaded eyes she shook her head in agreement. "I shall preserve your love if you indeed foster my own." Suchi said as she let her hair down and held both hands in front of her womb as a sign of peace with the kitsune.
With a quick flashstep Atyama closed the distance and embraced Suchi in a fullbodied embrace. As their bodies merged Atyama began to burn away into foxfire and envelop Suchi. As she felt the strangely cool flames wash over her Suchi heard Atyamas soothingly soft voice one last time. "Take the energy given to me by the earth and share it with our two children. Guide our daughters by your wisdom and teach our sons of my understanding. So they may be True Kitsune. Thank you Suchi."

General Kitsuchi Historical Consensus
While all Kitsuchi agree on their FoxFlame origin from the
spoken th tale the story veers in countless directions from there depending on the source. The general inhouse consensus is that Suchi ascended demi-god like Senjutsu, of equal measure to he Atyama, through their union. Suchi is said to became the first true human kitsune capable of FoxFire and bearing 9 tails. Most believe she raised her two sons in the woods she concieved them in, eventually becoming where the Kirigakure library (Informal Clan House of the Kirigakure Kitsuchi) is currently located(According to clan myth). It is said her sons were named Scylvaku, a True Ascended Kitsune like his father, and Ouran, the first and only Truly Bound Kitsune. The brothers disappear into history without a trace. From there the only accounts of the human Kitsune clan, known as the Kitsuchi, is far and few in between with only a few a century. And none with more than one tail.
Modern Kitsuchi Clan Hierarchy and Locations of Business
The clan members often operate in small family units and only gather together for urgent matters. Most of the clan can be found in Kirigakure but since Konoha has been requesting military aide in such excess it is not uncommon for tailed Kitsuchi to operate as military aide. Konoha and Kirigakure have both yet to allot the clan a formal house and say in political matters; due to the dis unification of the clan.
Kirigakure and Konoha are the only villages housing the Kitsuchi as family. Any Kitsuchi in the other villages are not born there. (Starting Kitsuchi cannot have a family living in Suna, Iwa or Kumo.. If they start there they must be orphaned)
Kitsuchi are known to be fine tailors and can be found tending stalls in the markets of various cities with foxlike cunning and wit.
Current Societal Integration
With recent societal paradigm shifts there have been an increasing amount of Kitsuchi born from even half blooded Kitsuchi. However the bloodline has been heavily diluted and the mystical Kitsune qualities take intricate senjutsu meditation, and mastery of the techniques to manifest properly. These techniques are often passed down amongst like minded clan members, to develop a complete senjutsu Kitsune Ascension, compared to Scylvaku or Ourans born Ascensions. To keep such studies private they are generally taught to and by direct family members.
Kitsuchi generally kive in Kirigakure or Konoha in small family units. As a general rule towards their senjutsu training Kitsuchi tend to aim for a moraly ambiguous path in life and 3avoid matters that do not effect themselves.
- Kitsune Characteristics:
From birth other Kitsuchi can sense a born Kitsuchi, whether they are tailed or not; within the infant being very feint nature chakra known as FoxFlame. The presence of the FoxFlame detemines a Kitsuchi. With the foxflames physical representation as fire all Kitsuchi are adept with Katon. Due to their naturally inhuman chakra pool Kitsuchi chakra is born from fuuinjutsu Kitsuchimaking react violently to it; fuuinjutsu being both extra dangerous to the Kitsuchi and incapable of learning.
Due to the progenitors of their kekkei genkai forming their children asexually Kitsuchi develop inhumanly in the womb.. Although everything physically, aside from the ears being fox ears atop their head, is normal about a Kitsuchi. However their own personal chakra pool is smaller.
Untailed Kitsune
Untailed Kitsuchi are Known as Bound Kitsune by othee clansmen. Boynd Kitsuchi have fox ears and no tails. This lack of tail results in a chakra system less dependent on Senjutsu, and incapable of advanced senjutsu and FoxFire. However their more human physiology grants a chakra network more capable of mastering other techniques and elements with a largee overall average of chakra reserves than their tailed counterparts.
Bound Kitsune are of average strength but without tails their chakra control is limited, rendering them incapable of genjutsu techniques.
Untailed Kitsune tend to excel in utilizing senjutsu with unconventiinal physical attacks.
Tailed Kitsune
Tailed Kitsune, also known as True Kitsune, are born with one tail and fox ears atop their head. The tail and ears are their physical catalyst for their advanced senjutsu techniques; the tails being a receptor for nature chakea and their ears aiding in the balance during meditation for transmutating the two chakras types, the users own and the collected nature energy, into one for manifesting FoxFire. Due to these unique developmental capabilities tailed Kitsuchi suffer from an innate naturally smaller chakra pool than even untailed Kitsuchi.
The True Kitsunes fox like body is much weaker than their bound counterparts and are of thinner builds with a leaning towards flight rather than fight.
Ascension of FoxFire
As all Kitsuchi are born of FoxFire they have the opportunity use it as a way towards perfecting their Sage Arts. Through dilligent study and Senjutsu mastery the Kitsuchi is known as Ascended by the clan.
True Kitsunes Ascension by Suffering
Tailed kitsune dilligently train their senjutsu and are capable of becoming adept with senjutsu very quickly because of their unique bodies. With each tail the kitsune develops they grow in strength. If nine tails are grown, through absolute chakra control and senjutsu mastery, the kitsune is granted the title of Truly Ascended Kitsune..Truky Ascended Kitsune are said to be poweefuly wisw masters of many techniques and incredibly wise and understanding.
Unbound Kitsunes Ascension by the Elements
Untailed Kitsuchi are born with no tails to show their ascension. Their fox ears are present and many are known to take a rather foxlike appearance as they age and are Ascended.
Bound Kitsune are incapable of mastering senjutsu through their tails. Instead their more human physiology and chakra network allows them to develop more elemental affinities to manifestand perfect FoxFire through that. Through mastery of elements and senjutsu the Bound are said to ascend as Unbound Kitsune.
Although never witnessed there are rumors of Ouran the Unbound capable of infusing his mystic FoxFire forinto compatibiloty in Katon, Fuuton, and Suiton techniques; the result was said to have been capabse of defeating the Mizukage, though never witnessed.

Kekkei Genkai Description:
FoxFire is the evolved genetic result of the humanoid Kitsuchi chakra network being essentially incomplete by human standards. Most Senjutsu chakra is created by taking a ratio of human chakra and transmutating it with equal measure of nature chakra to make it mouldable by human standards. Kitsuchi however are born with smaller chakra reserves and less tenketsu points because of their chakras Kitsune heritage.
The Kitsuchi chakra network is not created from their human ancestor, Suchi. Instead the Kitsuchi clan was gifted by a True Kitsune with his own ever living chakra. This is the cause of the various differences between non Kitsuchi.
In response to the smaller chakra reserves Kitsuchi passively absorb and store Nature chakra. In general the ratio is 80/20, nature/personal, in regards to using chakra for FoxFire.
All Kitsuchi are born with FoxFire and an adept ability to transmutate and craft their chakra for senjutsu. However because of their mutation created by their natural affinity for Senjutsu the Kitsuchis chakra network can only be used for FoxFire based senjutsu. Due to the natural manifestion of the Kitsuchis nature energy and chakra mixture being flame all Kitsuchi must take Katon as their primary element.
All Kitsuchi must start with Senjutsu as their tertiary specilization to their chakra network only being effective through an amalgamation of nature energy and their own chakra.
A gift from nature to the foxes, and from the Kitsune to man. FoxFire is almost pure nature chakra in phtsical form, only capable by their own dedicated efforts to control their meak personal chakra resource. Drawing off of the Kitsuchi's fiery passion to grow as a master of Kitsune Sage Arts FoxFire manifests through the element of fire as nearly pure energy.
The mystical FoxFire appears to be oddly coloured coloured flames. However, upon closer inspection the FoxFlame naturally emits a temperature slightly under the current temperature unless the technique wills otherwise. FoxFire generally acts as massless fire with the mobile capabilities to spread, grow, exist and fade. FoxFire is also capable of exprssing energy in other ways like bright lights and whistling sounds if a technique wills it.
Depending on the users secondary or tertiary elements FoxFire techniques can have a variety of physical effects similar to as followed:
(Guidelines for physical properties of the FoxFire; Use as Triggers for Genjutsu etc.)
Suiton based FoxFlames could "absorb" into fabric like a stain but cannot have a mass
Raiton based flames could store static electricity but will always be massless
Doton Based flames could be composed of mud and have mass
Fuuton Based Flames could move very quickly and almost invisibly about the terrain but cannot have mass
- Tailed Ascension Through FoxFire:
Tailed Kitsuchi are born with a tail to help funnel nature chakra into their own chakra pool. Through consistent meditation, traumatic events or serious injury the users tails may split and divide one at a time. The format and requirements for Tail Division are as follows:- 1 Tail: This is the default tail that all clan members start out with. This tail has no combat abilities aside from gathering chakra and allowing the creation of benign FoxFire.
2 Tails:
With this tail grown the clan member gains a +10 chakra.. Along with the ability to create cusom FoxFire the user recieves worcount cost free utility E rank Senjutsu technique that cannot be unlearnt.
It takes 1k words and 1k ryo, to grow this tail, and can be grown as a genin.
3 Tails: Once a Kitsune grows their third tail they experience a natural increase in their chakra pool, +5. The Kitsuchi is able to incorporate their second element in FoxFire jutsu once their third tails manifests.
Requires 1.5k word and 1.5k Ryo to grow
4 Tails: With this tail, Kitsuchi members again the ability to use any katon techniques up to C rank with their tails, and if done so do not require hand signs but instead -5 more chakra to activate. This ability is gained when the fourth tail grows, and is only removed when the removing the fourth tail or lower.
Require 2.5k words and 2k ryo to grow the fourth tail, can only be grown starting at C-rank.
5 Tails: Once the User has grown five tails they gain another +5 chakra. And senjutsu FoxFire techniques above B rank cost -5 chakra to perform. Once the user has achieved Sage Mode and five tails their Secondary Element is increased by 1 rank while Sage mode is active and their Primary Element is unable to be used as ninjutsu.
Requires 3.5k words and 2.5 k ryo to unlock. Can only be grown starting at B rank.
6 Tails: With this tails division, the clan member's cellular functions have been increased, and as such they gain +10 chakra for growing their 6th tail and are able to cast up to B rank senjutsu with their tail requiring no hand signs for an extra cost of -5 chakra.
Requires 5k words and 3k ryo to grow each tail
7 Tails: Once the user has grown Seven tails they begin to collect chakra constantly from their tails resulting in an ever flowing current of energy as long as their tails remain free and they remain concious. +5 chakra and one free A Rank Foxfire jutsu
requires 7.5 thousand words, 4k ryo and can only be grown at B Rank
8 Tails:- With eight tails the Kitsuchis bpdy has almost perfectly adapted to nature chakra, resulting in a +5 chakra. At this point in thwir Ascension the user only pays -15 to enter sage mode. However Sage mode cannot be active under 40 chakra without suffering organ faikure; due to the mortal strain the infkux of chakra causes.
Requires 10k words and 5k ryo to grow this tail, can only be grown starting at A-rank.
9 Tails: The final tail the user can grow, and grants them the ability to use Rirīsu: Kitsune Anima (Release:Kitsune Soul) through hidden teachings that are said to be Atyamas life force itself.
Members of the clan who acquire the ninth tail are heralded as gods among their people, with unparalleled control of FoxFire and rumors of a more advanced senjutsu art known as Kitsune Anima are heard of. Rumors say that Atyama used this hidden art to sacrifice his mortal lofe and divide his conciousness into his chakra and give life to human Kitsune.
Although no one living in the last one hundred fifty years has seen Kitsune Anima Release there are rumors. It is said once a Kitsuchi develops natural perfectuon they begin to study, from within, how to perform Senjutsu techniques using only the naturally volatile Nature Chakra.
Rirīsu: Kitsune Anima techniques are classified and act as senjutsu techniques but can only be used in Sage Mode. All techniques are A rank of higher and require: Two post minimum to charge, a Kitsune artifact, a grand design, removal of 8 tails.
The user is also able to collect 10 chakra per post if no jutsu
abov D Rank is activated. With Nine Tails the user pays -5 less for jutsu activation, at a minimum of 10 chakra. At Nine Tails the user is also granted 1 free S rank FoxFire or Kotsune Anima Senjutsu and the ability to truly master FoxFire.
Requires 20k words, and 10k ryo to grow this tail, Can only be grown starting at S-rank.
- 1 Tail: This is the default tail that all clan members start out with. This tail has no combat abilities aside from gathering chakra and allowing the creation of benign FoxFire.
- Bound Kitsunes Ascension:
Bound kitsunes ascension to power is not defined by tails. Once a Bound Kitsune has increased the elements rank they are given one free jutsu of the achieved rank (No recycling for extra jutsu of a lower rank). This jutsu is an element specific senjutsu technique corresponding to that element ranked up; the jutsu is also custom to that character only.
After reaching S rank in a combination of two elements the Bound Kitsuchi will achieve ascension.
Upon ascension the Truly Unbound Kitsune physically develop more animalistic features akin to Sage Mode. Once Sage Mode is Activated the physical appearence alters somewhat; the buffs from Sage Mode remain the same. however the Kitsuch is granted the following upon Ascension!
+25 permanent chakra boost, a -5 activation cost for all jutsu B rank or higher the admin approved ability to perform B rank elemental jutsu and lower with out handseals through an also admin approved senjutsu FoxFire passive.
Truly Bound Ascension Requires a combination of 2 S Rank elements, 20k words, 10k ryo and can only be achieved at S Rank. Once completed request admin help for buffs and titles.
On Tail Removal and Transplantation:
Tail Removal:
If a clan member's tail is cut off the owner must regrow that tail with the training and ryo cost in full. All abilities associated with the severed tail are locked until it is regrown; In addition if all of a clan member's tail's are cut off they die. This only counts if the tail is completely and totally cut off. If it is left half attached, or only cut in half, it can be healed and restored normally.
If losing more than five tails in a scene the users senjutsu skills are debuffed by 2 ranks, with an D rank minimum and total chakra amount is reduced by an added -10, until all tails are regrown. Once a tail is removed all perks of said tail are subsequently and officially nonexistent and are reaquired like new.
Tails can only be transplanted from a Kitsune with more than five tails upon mutilation.
- The Cost of FoxFire:
Chakra Reserves Are Lower by -30
When Kitsuchi are in the womb the mystical chakra qualities required to create FoxFire causes for thinner tenketsu to develop thsn other shinobi. Due to this all Kitsuchi have lower chakra amounts than the average rank of ninja.
+1Rank and +1Tier Damage from Fuuinjutsu
To house their unique mixture of chakra and nature energy the Kitsuchi body and chakra network are formed differently; the result physicslly is fox ears and tails. Spiritually however the Kitsuchi are more based on chakra as a life source and recieve fuuinjutsu damage at one rank and one tier higher than normal and cannot manipulate chakra efficiently for such jutsu. Untailed Kitsuchi can learn Fuuinjutsu.
50%Increase to Cost for: Medical Jutsu, Surgeries, Curing Illness, Learning Medical Jutsu or using medical ninjutsu
Negative Special Characteristic; Pharmacophobia
Due to the unusual Foxlike physiology and chakra network of the Clan members MUST have pharmacophobia and it cannot be balanced with a positive of any kind ever. Kitsuchi are naturally avoidant of any kind of Modern medical practice like prosthetic surgery, antibiotics and even medical jutsu. As such Kitsuchi recieve a 50% increase to word and ryo count regarding anything medical.
- Untailed Kitsuchi Drawbacks:
Negative Characteristic: Hesitant (Specialization)
With their physical body more resembling a humans than a foxes, save for the ears, untailed Kitsuchi require less concentration focused on their tail. However without a medium to guide their unique chakra and its flow untailed Kitsuchi must take Hesitant(Specialization)
Starting Specilizations: D Rank
The complexity of the tailed Kirsuchis training with the FoxFire limits their understanding of technique as genin and all of their specilizations begin at D rank.
Untailed Kitsuchi cannot learn Genjutsu.

Special Characteristics: Secondarily Weak and Hesitant(Element)
With their tails so focused on channeling nature chakra for their FoxFire Tailed Kitsuchi struggle with grasping their second selement and must take Secondarily Weak. All tailed Kitsuchi are also Hesitant (Element)

Details: This person's secondary element are not their strong suit. As such, their secondary element start out at one rank lower. This negative can not be taken by someone who's secondary element start out at D-rank, or someone who doesn't even have a secondary element.
