Unfortunately, summoning can only summon animal [non-legendary] and items. A 'nature spirit' falls under neither.

This is Denied.

I have found no requirement that summoning techniques be limited to "animals [non-legendary] and items," and would ask that the moderator provide textual support for such a conclusion. In contrast, I have found multiple instances in which the guidelines provide for the summoning of "creatures." Minor Nature spirits have long been regarded as creatures (see, e.g., the Kappa and the Kitsune from Shinto cultures alone). The guidelines also provide for the summoning of items. If a nature spirit were to be summoned as a Rashomon Gate or a Totem, it would be, for our purposes, indistinguishable from an item.

Furthermore, the denial of a contract for its potential to allow the summoning of a prohibited class of entity is not a question for item moderation. The actual object of the summoning lies in the creation of specific Jutsu, not in the creation of the contract itself. Therefore, unless a contract is found to be entirely incapable of summoning a legal class of entity, it should pass muster here.

I respectfully request reconsideration of the denial of this material on the foregoing grounds.

The entire time I have been on Saga, summoning has been locked to Items and Animals, of which mythical creature [spirits or otherwise] were never included. The current guides do not suggest otherwise. If you wish to challenge my decision, please feel free to contact an admin. Until then, my decision stands.
