She was bored, crawling around the mansion was boring when all your siblings did was bully you and called you weird. She hated being different, she was tired even. She could go to her mom, but she wouldn't exactly understand her now, would she? She let out a sigh, attaching herself to a piece of ceiling and walking on it, looking for something to do. She didn't think it'd appear so suddenly, but she definitely loved that it did. A big, juicy pile of raw meat in front of her. It was sliced finely, merely laying on the table. It looked so tasty, she needed to eat something, she just had to eat something after today's meal. If you counted eating literal flies and a few small animals that were out in the forest.

It wouldn't be that bad if she just had some? Or maybe have a few slices. Or better yet, every single piece. She didn't think anyone was around, so she entered the kitchen, hearing the occasional creak of the building. With a small lick of her lips, she eyed the meat, hoping no one would enter and see her. "Transformation Humanity!" The child chanted somewhat quietly. Almost instantly, the child was surrounded by a cloud, which dissipated seconds later. She held her fingers to the wall, not allowing herself to drop just yet. She looked at her fangs for a moment, groaning before she fell to the floor and launched herself at her soon to be meal.

She didn't hold back, almost swallowing a small amount of it whole. Blood dripped down her lips, and she knew where this meat came from. A human. It surely wasn't pork or cow, even chicken for that matter. She chewed at the meat, noticing how particularly tough it was at the moment. But after downing a few slices, she had gotten used to the consistency and didn't mind how it stained both her and her clothes red. And as she finished the meal, she realized how thirsty she was. Tearing open the fridge, she looked for anything to drink. Milk was the first thing to catch her eye, and she took it without a second thought.

Knowing time would be running thin, she drunk the whole carton without stopping for even a few seconds. But it wasn't enough, on top of being her favorite color, she was still a bit thirsty. Sh saw another carton and drunk it as well, hunger had kicked in. She knew she was hungry, and the meal had helped. After sharing food with her siblings, it was her who left with an empty stomach, because they ate everything without thinking about her. And she didn't care, blood was all over her. And she didn't know how "Sero" would feel if he walked in on her. Who had even made the food? Why was it even so tasty? It was raw meat, somehow not even attacked by other bugs and yet it was still so good. The last drops hit her tounge and the spiderling realized her fault. She had just eaten a whole slice of human meat, something someone spent time to really even prepare! She didn't care. But she did care about getting caught. She ran to the sink and attempted to clean her jacket and shirt, hoping the stain would wash out. "Come on come on! WASH OUT!"

Yasuo gathered the last of the roots before putting them into their basket and getting up from the ground. They patted themselves off before heading back to the manor. For the last hour they had been tending the herb garden they made outside and was gathering some herbs and spices for todays meal. They had gotten some fresh meat and planned to serve it with a chirizo sauce and wilted greens with a chilled drink on the size. They left the meat marinated and cut on the counter top inside and warned the spiders not to touch it since it would be really rude of them to eat today's lunch. As they reached the back door into the manor, they took off their gloves and apron, exchanging them for new clean ones and dusted themselves off. As they head for the kitchen they wondered how to best prepare the dish, rare, medium rare, or well cooked. But as soon as they reached the kitchen it seemed they would need to make other arrangements for lunch.

When they arrived they saw a girl with purple hair and red eyes angrily scrubbing away at their clothes, trying to get the blood to wash off. Due to them being essentially a stranger, Yasuo perhaps reacted poorly. Intruders in the manor were not acceptable by no means and to get past the security system the manor has set up proves this child to be extremely dangerous. And by no means Yasuo was going to let anyone get in their master's way.

So Yasuo's eyes narrowed down dangerously and they closed the distance between the pair, grabbing the girl by her throat and squeezing it tightly "Who are you and what are you doing here? If you do not comply quickly I will be forced to other means of extracting information from you and my methods are not known to be polite" Yasuo's eyes were glaring daggers at the child but even though most of the blood rushed to their head, they still had enough sense in them. They wondered whose blood was on her shirt but by sniffing it they could tell it wasn't Sero's. And most likely not the girl's either. The smell of herbs, and oils mixed in with the blood in a familiar fashion and Yasuo only needed to turn their head slightly to see the meat that had been marinating had been eaten messily, leaving not a single morsel left. They turned back to the girl growling now that their master wasn't going to have their lunch in a timely manner "And you had the nerve to steal as well brat"

Let it never be said that Yasuo did not care for others, in fact they cared a great deal. Especially to those whom they pledge their loyalty too and Sero had that in spades. The man respected their abilities as well as their personal interests, even encouraging some aspects. The man accepted Yasuo wholly and allowed the kurohebi to remain by his side so it wouldn't be until hell freeze over before they allowed some wench to cause a disturbance on their watch.

Sero settled as his feet carried him across the long red carpet of the main hall. He was barefoot as he couldn't feel the cold stone under the carpet or the air tinting the windows grey with frost. Autumn had fallen on the island and with it the cold was rolling in. Cold grey eyes shifted to glance out the window at the morning light straining to peek through the mist. Leaving the dim lit room to reveal his grey robes with black flowers scattered across it. Covering him in garb with a black waist tie from ankle to chin. Wide sleeves seemed to hide his left hand while his right hand reached out to rest his palm against a pillar. Black claws tapping against the solid surface as he let his eyes roll back and let out a steam filled breath. His senses and chakra reaching out as he tuned into the dark nature chakra around him. Once more feeling out for what he had felt before. There was something growing within the walls of the manor. Something beyond the life he had felt from the other spiders and capable of more. He felt it in passing here and there and now he had grown curious. What could thrive on this island?

Darkness seemed to envelop the room as light dimmed. Slowly he began to move pillar to pillar as he felt out all life around him. His ominous presence stretching out as a darker shadow than the rest. Enveloping the room as anything and everything scattered. Like a stretched face with thin but curved sharpened teeth searching around. Like fish hooks ready to sunder flesh but with no form. His chakra, his very being was a dark thing that enveloped and consumed. The edges of the darkness reached out and stretched like tendrils searching for the next meal. He knew it was there somewhere. So familiar and reeking of potential. Still he couldn't feel it just this second. It wasn't until he felt Yasuo that his attention was drawn to the kitchen. Yasuo was moving quickly and felt aggressive in nature. It wasn't common for that to happen in his experience unless someone had trespassed on something of Yasuo's. He could feel the anger there and smiled as he let his third eye open and glow red. Something was happening in the kitchen. He was going to investigate. See what was new and entertaining.

From within the kitchen as they spoke only a moment would pass when suddenly the air would become abruptly warm. The light above would shift and begin to swing ever so slightly back and forth as if pushed by some sort of gentle force and flicker at the new energy. As it flickered the door would seem to darken as if being eaten by darkness itself before swinging open into a pitch black hallway with only three things visible within it. Three glowing red eyes all staring straight ahead. All that seemed to be within that hallway was emptiness and a dark power to take away all the lived. Slowly it approached as the darkness spread leaving the entire kitchen darkened and almost aged in his presence. Assuming the little girl was captured at the moment Sero would seem to glide across the floor. Approaching like a wraith that was after something special. It's eyes meeting Yasuo's before moving to the little ones. Attempting to hold the gaze as he approached almost nose to nose unconcerned with her hands as black claws seemed to hover just off of her face. Letting himself take in a deep breath as if stealing the air from the room as he spoke a moment later.

"How is it..that you smell of the brood swarm? Yet feel like a splinter...of me?"

She hadn't heard the stranger walk in, but she did feel the sudden pressure of hands wrapping around her neck. Hantā could only gasp in surprise as the older shinobi held her by her throat. The stranger, whom Hantā assumed to be a male, certainly had no mercy in their threats. Suddenly, he sniffed at her shirt, and the spiderling attempted to kick him, terror, not allowing itself to show. "Shut up," she managed to voice, praying he'd listen and drop her. His scent was strongly smelling of various herbs, most of which she had seen around the mansion. Her bloody hands gripped at his own, trying to pry them off and she hoped to be freed. But when he had turned to see the food all gone, his anger tripled. Red met red and yet the girl could only keep looking on at him with a defiant, as well as pained, stare.

But it was then when she realized just how hard he was squeezing, she felt as if she would die if he didn't let go soon, either from no ventilation or her neck snapping under his pressure. When the air became warmer, Hantā's struggle stopped almost instantly. The environment changed as a strange man walked in, and Hantā knew exactly who it was, for her Mother had warned her about him. Sero. His eyes were red, and even weirder, there were three eyes, something she hadn't noticed. Knowing quite well about Sero's strength, she calmed herself down, still a bit nervous. "S-Sero-sama!"

When he approached, Hantā prayed he wouldn't kill her. He got close, incredibly close. She gulped down and tried to pray her eyes away, but it was three vs two, she just couldn't do it. And when the claws grazed her face, even the man holding her couldn't take her breath away as well as Sero did.  But she could only let out a small confused noise as Sero asked why she was like 'the brood' yet had an essence of him. She was a bit confused, so she merely said what she could push through her quickest appearing thought. "I'm a spider! I'm a spider! I'm just different okay?!" Hantā gasped, still kicking at the man holding her, eyes trying to avoid Sero's, despite them almost acting their own. She was nervous and felt like she was going to die, with almost no options left, she took a sharp breath. Instantly she began to chew at something in her mouth, she was doing it particularly quickly and was praying no one would ask about what she was doing. "I told you already! Let, me, go!" Hantā would manage to say, before attempting to spit her web at her captor's face, praying it'd capture him for a small while.

She had to run, or she'd probably face whatever the strange man had to offer. Sero on the other hand, was also a worry, as he'd try to stop her even if she was running as fast as she could humanly manage. It wasn't like he could pick out her from everyone else if she hid well enough right? Right? Oh forbid she get caught and killed.

Many times, the manor was raided various times but many times there were unsucessful. If Sero was not around to get rid of intruders, Yasuo and the spiders played pest control, eliminating threats before they could do any real harm to the manor. And whilst Yasuo knew when to quit and run, they also knew such behavior was not tolerated, especially when the annoyance was as weak as this one. Her mannerism were uncouth and unrefined, not like a seasoned shinobi. She looked like a child and had the same naivety as one if she didn't sense the danger within this household. Kiri shinobi and civilian knew the manor for its monstrous occupants and spider horde, the legends were passed it were ontop the gates of hell and Yasuo was not one to disagree with it. They rather enjoy the dark side, even though it was tied to a village they could care less about.

So looking at her, Yasuo was rather surprised that not only she decided to rob the Osada Manor but how she got in anyway. Yasuo might've been outside, tending to the garden and gathering herbs for dinner but the spiders would've notified them had someone hostile come within the vicinity. If not, the young master was home anyway that it wouldn't take a genius a sleeping beast lurked within. Thus, Yasuo thought her to be very stupid or extremely courageous, but unworthy to live anyway. And as much Yasuo would love to kill her, they needed to know who she was and where she came from to make sure to see if anymore were like her so she could be tracked down and eliminated. But gosh, she was trying their patience wasn't she by screaming and kicking. Their temperament flared and they growled whilst catching her legs and holding it down with their once free hand. "Silence and answer me"

Yasuo would've dragged the child away to a different room to commence the interrogation but they felt a familiar chill in the air as the lights dimmed, and they knew he had arrived "Master...." Yasuo wanted to apologize for not acting sooner and for the mess that the child thief had caused but they never had the chance to utter those very words as it seemed Sero held no interest in them but rather the young thief. When they spoke Yasuo felt confused and intrigued...was she one of them. They whispered under their breathe, scrutinizing the child "What....absurd" But she lashed out, knowing his name and confirming his suspicious that she was indeed one fo them but where was the proof.

Yasuo caught the sudden sticky white substance thrown at them and tossed it into a trashbin, wondering what the bloody hell happened and how on earth this web like excretion was produced...maybe...just maybe there was merit to her words. If Sero's words were true and Yasuo had no reason not to believe him, perhaps she truly was one of the spider horde but how? How on earth did she have enough chakra to great a humanoid version of herself, much less understand human language and thought to create the jutsu and manipulate the chakra. If there was proof to this, Yasuo would need to carefully reevaluate the spider horde and see if any other exhibit the same features. Ah if only Sero would allow the curious kurohebi to test various theories on them...

Sero would listen as the youngling spoke up about how they were in fact one of the spiders. They appeared to be desperate to escape and could not seem to grasp that was an impossibility for them. There was no running, no hiding and no bargaining within the Osada manor. What the lord of the household decided was law became law. Reality seemed to almost bend and nature ran with his aura. He could see her gaze shift to the still darkened hallway before she attempted to spit some sort of webbing at her captor. It was interesting but ever so simple a thing as he frowned at the foolishness in panic. No matter. If she was afraid Sero could work with that. His grey eyes shifted to the webbing as it was sent towards the trashcan after easily being caught and tossed aside. Yasuo had certainly grown formidable to grab that out of the air between them so simply. Still he would settle back into his full height. His pale hand with dark crimson claws shifting to point his palm at the door. The hallway seemed to almost sink away from sight. It was as if it failed to stand against his aura and become some great maw waiting for something to enter within. Anyone who was within a quarter mile could feel the endless death of all he had touched and cut down within that darkness. Almost like a feint scream so deep within it could almost be real. In a way he was showing the child the taint of endless murders on his chakra. When he spoke his eyes seemed to almost slide to them both.

"Yasuo...release your grip....We mustn't kill her for insolence alone. Child...you have two options before you. First is your option to flee or fight. Know neither can end well. I have felt your chakra. I know its smell and its taste. Even if you hide amongst hundreds of your own kind I can find you. Even if you manage to flee the island and run to a new land...I can find you. Should you so choose, that option is available if you doubt me. Your exit is down that hallway. I will give you a head start of five seconds for sport."

He would shift then as the hallway seemed to growl as if a living thing. One could almost see the eyes of the long since dead peering into the kitchen as if waiting for her to try. Waiting to consume her life and make her one with the demon within the room. Still he would seem perfectly calm and quiet as he seemed to almost glide across the room. Moving to a table as he pulled out three chairs. Keeping Yasuo in mind as he wished for Yasuo to learn as much as he did. Such a new perspective on things had proven beneficial. Still he expected to be obeyed so he didn't bother to check if Yasuo had loosened grip on the girl. He could feel them both so close to him. Like the smell of an ice cream shop when you enter. The flavors so strong you could taste them. He himself would take a seat and slowly his hand would glide across above the table to indicate the two seats. Speaking as eyes as dead as those within the chakra filled hall observed the young girl.

"You have a second option though. This one more comfortable for you if you speak only truth. If I detect three lies from you...and I am very good at that. Yasuo will hold you again while I claim the information I wish to know. Sit with us and tell us your name. You have a story and I wish to know of it. Behave and you get tea. Misbehave and you get pain."

When her webbing was flung away, the young girl let out a small hiss towards the one who held her with a tight grip. She couldn't breathe much, but she still kicked them as hard as she could. She refused to be treated this way! She was restrained, and fear gripped at her body. Was she going to die right here? In the kitchen being held by a bunch of stronger people who could easily squash her without a thought? She wasn't the smartest spider, but like hell, she was gonna die here!

But when Sero gave her two options, she froze completely. He was asking for a few simple things, one of which included her name. Unsurely, she almost went limp in the hands that bound her. "Well for reference I'm Hantā," she muttered, eyeing the sitting figure in front of her a bit more. She could try to fight, and it was in her nature to at least try and run. She could lie just enough to get him off her tracks perhaps. There was no way he'd know every single lie she could spit out. But he'd likely kill her for it. But it was worth it. She only had to assume that Yasuo was the person holding her, so she said the name. "You heard him? Let me go, Yasuo!" Hantā spat, sticking out her tongue towards their face.

Her mother had warned her about respect, so that she wouldn't end up as one of the many corpses on the floor that would soon become a lost soul in this old mansion. Throughout her life, death was the last thing she ever thought would happen to her, and she was fearless, despite the warnings of Sero's strength. But what about this stranger holding her? Were they nearly as capable of killing her? Could the catch her if she ran? Catch her again if she put up a better fight? Could they even find her? As much as it tempted her, she wanted someone to actually talk with and felt too weak to do much damage. At best, one of them would leave with a bite mark or webbing on them, at worse it'd be her blood.

Everything in the hallway was calling for her, warning her. If she ran, she'd might as well lay on the floor and willingly accept death. The eerie feeling she never felt before sunk into her heart, there was no point if he'd catch her. Like he said, she could run easily, maybe even escape the island. But he'd find her. And he'd kill her just as quickly as she ran. There was no point in running at all. Ironically, she was a bug caught in a web, likely bound to die within minutes of being captured. But then again, curiosity begged to find out just how far she could run. Though it'd likely not be too far, as she was younger and less experienced when compared to the both of them. She likely had no chances to live. She couldn't run, and she couldn't hide. All she could do was wait.

Sero would watch with dead grey eyes as the girl seemed to torment Yasuo. However he knew the man was loyal to him over his own anger at being disrespected. Perhaps later he would encourage Yasuo to educate the girl in manners. He was sure the man before him was clever enough to figure out how to make a brat into a girl. If not a proper lady. That was of course assuming this girl didn't select to engage. Suicide was frowned on by Sero but he was always one to oblige helping the individual in need of release from life. His hand would tap on the table as he watched with cold eyes as the hall seemed to almost howl silently. It wasn't a sound one could hear but simply a feeling. There was agony down that hall....pain and suffering beyond the limits of human resistance. Normally he wouldn't care to harm a child that had simply stolen food. Yet there were certain aspects playing against her. For one he hadn't been on a hunt in a couple of days. He was growing agitated from the lack of killing. Second, she had managed to infiltrate his home without any alarms ringing. None of the spiders had so much as whispered of her. Which brought on the final thought and most important one. Why did she smell of them?

She muttered the name Hanta and quickly attempted to convince Yasuo to drop them with spite and venom in her voice. He was growing impatient with that tone and especially to Yasuo. His butler was responsible for his home and comfort. Someone he had placed trust within and had not yet been disappointed. The constant disrespect being shown to him brought a frown to the pale lips of the lord of this particular manor. He was tempted to have Yasuo punish them on the spot for the insolence but he refrained. Instead his glance would shift to Yasuo as the man would lower the girl and go about searching the cupboards for tea. However after a couple of searches turning up nothing they would bow and excuse themselves to go and find more. Even purchase some if necessary. Sero would shift his hand in the direction of the hall and the darkness would seem to boil and sink into the walls like it was being absorbed before all that was left was a creaking noise. The aura was gone from the hall and so Yasuo would depart. Closing the door behind himself. Sero would then turn his attention to their other guest.

He would settle into his own chair and watch Hanta. He wasn't sure what to make of her yet but his own senses told him not to eliminate a threat just yet. Again his hand would shift and a black nail would reach out and tap the table to indicate the seat across from him. Once it was done Sero would pull his hand back and fold them before him. A small wisp of smoke briefly rose from the table where he had tapped it and singed the wood. His eyes seemed so void of life. Grey and emotionless and yet they followed her. The eyes of the dead observing her every movement. Waiting to see if she would try him and her eyes too would grow dead. He was fairly insistent on her taking a seat. He had questions and he wasn't one to walk on eggshells in his own kitchen. The stand off between them one he was determined to overcome. Still when he spoke it was fairly monotone. Speaking whether or not she decided to sit.

"Hanta, What an interesting name. I am Osada Sero. Lord of this island. How did you come across it if I may be so bold?"

"I guess I'll just have to talk with you?" Hantā muttered after she weighed her options nervously while Yasuo put her down. She briefly watched the other man travel around the room, curious in every movement they made before leaving Sero and her alone. Realizing she couldn't ignore the silver haired man anymore, the young spider aimed her blood red eyes at him, silently cursing herself for getting into this situation. Gritting her teeth, she began to walk over to the table, trying to forget the blood dying her hands and shirt. She didn't know why she was handing over the win to him so easily, seeing how she likely could put up a fight before a true victor could emerge. Snorting indignantly, she stopped short of the table and placed a bloodied hand on her hip. She wouldn't sit down. Forget respect, she didn't want him to win this if anything. When he began to go about the formalities, the young spider became aware he didn't know she lived here.

"I was born here," Hantā stated proudly, smirking slightly, "my mama's a huge spider like me and she's told me quite a bit about you . . . though I wasn't expecting you looking like that up close of all things." She hesitantly pointed to his clothing, noting that her own clothes looked almost nothing like her own. A bit of information lingered in her mind, and suddenly the girl's red eyes sparkled with excitement and she brought her arms up to her face to express it further. "Wait, you own the whole island? That's pretty cool!" Forget running away, she had now found something rather interesting that probably wouldn't get her murdered in cold blood. "Do you know any other spiders like my mama? Do you like human meat too? Are you even human? How old are you? How old's my mama?" She felt so joyful and upbeat that suddenly all the drama of earlier ran away and she was only left with delight. Boredom gone and a sense of security building around her, she felt like she was actually having fun with this newly acquired information.

She came closer to Sero, pointing to her two protruding fangs. "Do you have fangs like me? What's chakra?" As fast as she could ask a question, another one popped into her head. However, this time a question more specific to herself popped within her mind, and her smile faded away slowly and her eyes drifted to the ground. "Am I small? All my siblings say I am." She snorted angrily, remembering the true reason why she even ended up into this situation. Glaring across the kitchen, she found  the milk cartons that laid scattered upon the floor without care, dyed ever so slightly with blood. Crossing her arms she sharply turned away from Sero and marched over to the cartons before stomping on them aggressively, growling, "I hate them."

For a moment Sero would pause in his thoughts of the girl as she finally arrived at the table across from him. Her very nature appearing defiant and even as she stood there it became clear she had no intentions of taking a seat. Her blood stained hand resting on her tiny hip as if she intended to reside in that position until he relented something. His grey eyes met her blood red gaze and for but a moment he was reminded of his own sage mode. Her blood red eyes matching the eyes he held when he entered into that mode. In many ways she resembled him and yet there were qualities of her own as well. Perhaps he was seeing some connection or perhaps he simply wanted to for reasons unknown. Skittering around could be heard just outside the door of the kitchen. His eyes shifted and the sound halted. The other spiders were nervous. What could be making this happen was beyond his...wait, could it be? There were times when creatures evolved when introduced into a new habitat to survive. If he had to gander a little he would consider the possibility that he had altered the habitat of one spider in particular greatly with his own chakra...

She spoke then as if to confirm his hypothesis or at least all signals indicated as much. His gaze shifted as she stated she had been born here and his gaze was shifted to the bell tower where no bell resided. One spider he had ever met was simply known as Momma. One spider who had granted him power and took from him something in return. A spider he shared a life connection to in a way. It was all to possible that she had used his chakra connection to her in order to form a new breed of evolved spiders. Ones that could use chakra. As was evident before him. His eyes narrowed as if he could see through all the walls and stare directly into that spiders eyes. She had kept this from him if it were true. A part of him would question why that had come about that way but most of his logical mind understood. He had blown the bridge preventing the horde of normal spiders passage from this place. If he learned there were some that could still adventure forth, would he perhaps put them down in order to ensure the safety of the village?

Suddenly the spider girl in front of him would light up and suddenly ask a barrage of questions. Drawing nearer him in her excitement. His right hand twitched ever so slightly as he held back the instinct to strike out if she were to be moving closer in an attempt to land some unknown attack. He resisted the defensive urge to rip her head clean off before she could do a thing and instead listened. His grey eyes never shifting from her and his expression never changing as he studied her. As she continued her rant though it appeared she wished to take some frustration out on something other than him. Crushing milk cartons underfoot. He supposed he would address her questions in order. Watching her as he cleared his throat. He wished to study her and how she interacted. She would be his test subject on if the spider clan could be trusted to interact with humanity.

"I do indeed hold title to this land. I do not in fact know more spiders like unto your mother. I do not often see meat go to waste if it finds its way to attacking me. While debatable all signs and experiments I have conducted indicate I am in fact human. As for my age I am considered an adult in human years, however your mother is far older than I. Her age truly unknown to me. As you can see I have no fangs and as for chakra, If you remain within the manor I shall teach you how to harness it. An energy within you that can do great things. Lastly being small is how we all begin. I too was once a child. We all grow larger in time. For the time being Hanta you have gained my interest. Pick a bedroom and there should be a bath and clean clothes within it. Do get cleaned up."

With that Sero would rise from his chair. His head would bow to her ever so slightly before he would turn. As he stepped his form seemed to take on that of a white blur. A spirit moving through the halls. He had granted her something interesting. Amnesty from the other spiders harming her in any way for him discovering her. She may not know it but others had listened in as their fate hung in the balance. They would be watching her now as both their possible down fall and their one true hope to becoming something equal or greater to the human race. The figure head of their clan. Sero himself was away to go and speak with Momma. To go and learn how and when this came about. His questions to be answered and Hanta likely to be trained. Teru perhaps would enjoy the company.
