Himari Lost One
Himari took a sip of the coffee that she brewed moments ago. Her golden irises peered out at the sunrise from the window of her bedroom as her mind began to churn through her plans for the day. Taking deep, steady, breaths as she enjoyed the last sips of brownish liquid in her cup, Himari pulled herself from the window in order to start her day. In the back of her mind a million questions tried their best to interrupt the peace that she was quietly enjoying. Less than twenty-four hours ago she was in a detention center, being watched and monitored until she was told that she was allowed to become a full citizen and ninja of Iwagakure. She had been in this village for at least a month now and all of it was spent under the watchful eye of those stronger than her. Of course she really didn’t have a choice in the matter, as she had nowhere else to go. She wished she could remember her days before washing up on the shores of this country but no matter how much she tried it she only drew blanks. She knew it was probably better if it came to her naturally but she was starting to worry that it would never come to her...Not in anyway she could understand. Everyday since she arrived here nightmares plagued her that felt all too real, a crazy part of her wanted to believe those nightmares held some truth but she couldn’t be sure. She wondered if it was like that for Taiho, another individual who arrived in a similar manner as herself and someone she had become friends with during their time in the detention center. With caffeine shooting through her system her morning routine seem to whiz by in a blur. Before she knew it she was out of the door and walking briskly to the nearest cafe for some breakfast before she did her duty as a ninja of the village. She wasn’t familiar with village fully yet, but she knew the most important places which included the Kage’s office, a few higher ups that she reported too every now and then, and Taiho’s place. Currently she was following her nose and it led her to a small shop that sold dumplings exclusively. Grabbing a few different kinds of dumplings for herself and Taiho, she would eat while she made her way to the Kage’s building. Today would be quite a busy one, at least for her anyway. It was agreed upon that she would do at the very least three missions a day while she lived in the village with the weekends being her days to do whatever she liked. She had to keep up this small quota of mission taking until she was able to reach chunnin. Those in the detention center felt that this would keep her busy and it was an effective way to keep track of her. Upon reaching the Kage’s building she polished off a few more dumplings before heading inside the building. Currently there weren’t many people in the building besides a few guards and those who had actual work there. Himari made her way to the area where missions were handed out and upon requesting a C rank mission she was given one under the condition that she took it with another individual. Himari had already fully planned to ask Taiho to take on the mission with her seeing as he was the only person she knew. With a mission in hand the young light haired girl rushed to the home of Taiho, knocking on his door once she arrived, hopping he would answer as her eyes darted to the box of dumplings she was holding, only now realizing it looked as if she were bribing him on this mission with food.
