Huffing. Wheezing. Coughing. Choking. They tried to breathe but it felt like their lungs were collapsing on them. As if they were fragile glass broken by the gentlest touch. Their throat gurgled as they began to choke on a mixture of saliva and blood. A concoction that made it all the worse. It was a difficult task to keeping going, fighting to breath and push forward towards safety. They had to keep going, before they were caught. But the chances of success were low; realistically none. If they didn't choke on their own body fluids, the freezing cold will. Perhaps if they were unlucky, they might fall into a pond or river. The chances of such were there as it was nigh possible to find their way in the dense fog. The only thing that kept them aware of their surroundings were the crunch of leaves, the snaps of twigs, beneath their body that kept them awake. But even then, their consciousness was fading; black spots began to appear in their vision.
Their movements became sluggish from blood loss and they could no longer crawl on the ground to pull themselves forward. Oh if only they still had their legs. The former placement of the attachments were haphazardly severed yet numbed from the pain. Ironically blood was gushing out like a fountain, now unimpeded by the limbs. Hn, they wondered if they survived someone would recover it and reattach it.
"Unfortunately Madam, I have other plans for them" Yasuo voice broke the silence letting out an eerie purr as they held the woman's dismembered legs in their hands, licking them and putting them into a black bag. It was a voice of malice yet restrained, the tone of aristocratic civilians but no humanity in them. They could feel the malice in it even it was monotone. The fear crept up their heart and it overwhelmed them. Yet even as death personified loomed over them, they felt at peace in a way. The woman knew this would be the end of her and that was okay. She was a c-rank missing nin from a kumo who was just working to provide for herself. She was comissioned to scout a manner, watch its occupants and eliminate the staff members. During her time she had grown cocky thinking them normal weak civilians. She hadn't even noticed as soon as she stepped onto the island she was being watch. It was due to her arrogance that led her in this situation.
Her first target was the butler, the head of the house. She noticed a pattern of when he left the manor to pick of groceries, do some cleaning, whatever was needed to maintain a peaceful status quo. She planned to kidnap them and torture them for information before killing them off when they were no use so she followed him off the island by water walking along the sea now that the bridge connecting the island to the mainland was destroy towards a small fishing village a few islands off which she assumed was for groceries though she didn't understand why they didn't head to the mainland instead. Yet before she could even get within ten meters of them once they stepped onto the island, 200 meters south of the port, a dense fog rolled in. She remain unperturbed however as it was a normal occured for the water country and tried their best to follow. A shift in the mist and she thought it was them and tried to follow. All that she did was follow them into a trap.
Now beaten, bloodied, burned and humilitated she no longer had a fight left within her. She was so throughly destroyed she figured what was the point of trying. She was a rogue in debt with no friends and it was likely the organization sent her here to die. She was a nobody with no special bloodline or skills. Not even her bounty was worth much of anything. Just like her life. But even though dark thoughts plagued her she thought that perhaps she could do one useful thing. So she planted an explosive tag on her, ready to explode, however Yasuo saw her shift as she were going to turn her body and dediced to slit her throat before she could do anything. As the light left her eyes, she only thought, I couldn't even kill a butler and all she knew was darkness.
Yasuo chuckled darkly before barking as they turned the dead woman's body over seeing she planted an explosive tag on her but never managed to activate it. It for some reason got a good hearty laugh out Yasuo. A second sooner and their remains would've splatter these walls. Good thing they were paranoid haha. Ahh, but still it was unfortunate. They had hoped to play around with the woman a little longer but she ended the game too soon just as the fog lifted letting the moon illuminate the night, shinning on the pair. Yasuo's crimson eyes glowed among their black scelera erratically before they closed. Oh well, at least they had some fun. It was time to get off this island and head back to the manor. But first they had to take home their prey. They had plenty of meat for the next week at home so they figured only take the bare minimum before they got rid of the body.
With skilled hands they carved out her tongue and plucked out her beautiful blue eyes. They wanted to remove her heart as well however they felt someone eyes on them. With a low whistle they called out to whomever was watching them...
