he mission dossiers he had been pulling from the mission center had been getting better in terms of their progression in relevance and intrigue. Albeit still junior ninja level tasks, they seemed to be growing in the realm of action and responsibility. His last mission was actually a battle, well, a spar, that was highly climactic against his initially dull expectations. He had to spar some kid named Ratsu who was rather rude but refreshingly formidable. After his stated surrender the sneaky bastard had detonated a smoke bomb point blank in his face in order to escape. Which of course was highly unnecessary seeing as how he was more than free to leave without intervention, perhaps the embarrassment of his loss was not something he wanted to relish as he would have otherwise turned and proceeded with a walk of shame. It really wasn't all that serious,as losing wasn't the end of the world, but still to this day the young Sōseiji would swear he could still feel the residue of that smoke bomb tucked deep inside the back of his eyelids.
However, no matter how relevant the matter in the young genin's mind, today was a new day and moreover a new chance at a mission. With his last endeavor being as action packed as it was, the possibilities that lied in the print of this green and red trimmed dossier were much more keen to his imagination. Maybe this time he would be tracking down a horde of bandits who have stolen a secret jutsu. Or perhaps this time it is more so on the side of espionage, you know recon, observe and report only.
“The cat's out of the box...”
He uttered beneath the audible decibels of his own breath, crashing down in emotion from unbridled excitement to a demure scowl of disbelief. The parchment harshly nestled and folded in on itself as he gripped the dossier with irritation. Perhaps there was really no science behind mission assignage, at least at the D-rank level, and he had just proven to be a bit lucky with his previous mission experience.
“The cat's out of the box alright!”
He exclaimed as the various workers within the Kazekage Tower paused to take in the abrupt distraction before resuming about their business once the dark haired genin grudgingly stormed off and out of the missions office.
