Fukai
D-rank
Fukai had his remaining squad members stationed on the wall around the town. They would be evenly spaced out, looking over the plained while attempting to get as much rest. Fukai would stay down below, waiting for the signal. He was sitting with the doctor, watching him heal his two young charges. He hoped they would get better well, for their sake and the mission. He had to leave that job to the doctor though, and prepare himself for what may come. Only a couple of hours he had to wait before help would arrive. The thing was, he knew that the bandits would understand the response times of the anbu well. They would be sure to strike and then withdraw with all that they could, if they could.
It had been a quiet hour before the signal echoed through the town. A call from one of the children alerted Fukai to the oncoming danger. One by one they appeared before him, ready and waiting for his command. “Where are they?” He asked them.
“About ten mintues away. There are a large group of them”
“Give me a number”
“About thirty or so I think”
Thirty, at least those numbers weren’t overwhelming. Just maybe they could do this.
“Alright, all of you stand up on the wall. You will be stopping them from scaling the wall and getting into the town. I will stay below the wall and stop them from attacking the gate. We will force them to come at us in small numbers.”
He looked down at his young squad. Some sort of inspiring speech might be in order here, but for the life of him, he couldn’t think of one. “Try your best. Cover each other. Do what you can. You are all amazing soldiers, you can do it.” This would have to do. With that, he sent them up the wall.
