Clan History: Long ago in the ruin village of Sunagakure lived a clan of artisan glass blowers famous for their work. For generations their fame and talent where the talk of the art world; even the least talented members of the clan churned out masterpieces that the taxes alone on could provide the entire budget for Suna for a month. They were the pride of a village that had long tried to make a name for itself outside of it's military might. Far away in the dying village of Iwagakure, a clan of Doton specialists was going disenchanted with the paranoia and growing return to an imperialist mindset among the leaders of their people. After the failed Invasion of Kusagakure, the clan looked around at the ruined village and like many of the smarter clans packed up and left.

The clan, like many of Iwa's Doton specialists, left for Suna. While the villages were not allied, the Doton users fit in well enough in Suna, and those willing to pledge allegiance were allowed to settle into the village.

It wasn't an instant friendship, the artisans and the Doton specialist met by chance. A member of the Doton clan decided that he wanted to learn to work with glass, but had little affinity for the art itself; however he was extremely effective at creating the basic glasses needed for industrial and residential uses. Several of his family members were recruited to do the same, and the first association between the clans began.

The development of Haton wasn't immediate; it was a skill that developed slowly over a few generations after the clans officially merged. Because of the make-up of the glass itself, the clan was able to use it's Doton skills to control the molten glass during the forming process; part of what allowed the artisans to create such amazing works of art, along with their inherent skills. The Hari clan was always split down the middle in a way, roughly half where ninja, the rest glass workers. It was one of the ninja that had some talent for the glass creation and such that first began to use glass in battle; almost by mistake. During a spar with a friend from outside the clan, he's scorched a bit of sand with a Katon jutsu and ended up breaking part of the natural glass away to use as a weapon. The idea was sparked, and one his relatives considered the idea; they were sold on it. From that point on, they nurtured ways to quickly create and control the unrefined natural glass; the very impurities that made it useless for art or industry made it perfect for them to control using a combination of their Doton chakra and knowledge of glass itself. Haton in it's current form was finished and refined within three generations; and the Hari clan took on the title of the Glass Ninja of Sungakure.

Kekkei Genkai Description: The Hari clan has taken its experience working as glass artisans and the infusion of ninja arts to create Haton, Glass Release. By using Doton to create or control a source of appropriate earthen material, the application of Katon or Raiton is used to melt the material into natural glass. This glass is used like weaponry; molten material formed into any form they need and given razor sharp edges and points. Thick panes of the natural glass can be used to form barriers; and the molten glass itself makes for an effective weapon. Because of the heavy reliance on Doton to create the glass, all clan members are able to use Doton jutsu one ONE (1) rank higher than normal for rank. [Genin may use Doton up to B-Rank, Chuunin to A-Rank, etc)

Drawbacks: Haton is weak to it's component elements; Doton and Raiton can shatter the glass, while Katon can cause it to melt. Because of this, all Doton, Raiton, and Katon jutsu cause one rank higher damage against the Hari Clan and any Haton-created structures (barriers, walls, armors, etc). Kyujutsu is able to damage Haton constructs far easier as well; and as such are treated as being ONE (1) rank higher than they naturally are when figuring the damage to constructs and clan members (D-rank treated as C-Rank, etc). This applies only at the damage step, and when figuring the defensive resistances of barriers and constructs. Members of this clan must take Hesitant [Element] as well, due to the dedication required to effectively harness Haton. This cannot be balanced with a positive SC.

Description: The user must have access to an appropriate type of earthen material, or via chakra infused into the throat they will produce it themselves. At this point, the user releases a burst of Katon/Raiton chakra from their hands or feet in order to melt the earthen material into a natural glass sheet; roughly 15 feet wide and 3 inches thick. This sheet is used to provide the Glass material for other clan based jutsu.

Description: A simple enough jutsu, the user must have access to a source of glass in order to create weaponry of all types and forms. The user is only able to create a weapon they have the specialty and training to use. Small weapons such as Kunai and Shuriken are created in groups of 6; while larger weapons such as tanto, swords, etc are created one at a time. Bows may be created via this jutsu, and they come with a total of 6 arrows. The strength and damage potential of the weaponry is determined by the amount of chakra paid for it, and it must be clearly stated what rank of weapon and how much chakra was paid. Each rank costs double normal chakra cost. Each weapon deals damage equal to ONE (1) rank lower than what it is (minimum E-Rank).

Description: This jutsu starts much as the basic glass creation jutsu; with the user either melting a pre-existing source of earth, or creating their own, in order to make a glass pane. This pane is roughly 2m tall by 1.5m wide by 8cm thick; and once formed the user must release a burst of Doton chakra to ‘kick’ the pane upright and into position. Once upright, the barrier is able to protect the user from up to 2 D-rank physical strikes and 1 C-rank strike. Once broken, the glass of this pane may be used as material for other Haton jutsu, however why it is being used as a barrier it cannot be used as such. Only one barrier may be created at a time using this jutsu.

I'm sorry, I can't accept this clan due to it being WAY too similar to Crystal release.
