Think up of a site wide plot you'd like to see happen or another event. Be detailed and polite. Bounce ideas off each other and perhaps we can one day convince the mods and admins of trying it out.

I actually had some ideas, but seeing how Kris' has a lot of potential, I have gotten his permission to mash our two plots together. 


The Premise

For decades, there have been rumours of an ancient artifact predating the world of shinobi, known simply as ‘Hagoromo’s Mirror’. These rumours originate from small information leaks from the closest inner circles of Konohagakure and Kirigakure, with Kages and councils of both villages being privy to nearly the most accurate information regarding Hagoromo’s Mirror. Konohagakure and Kirigakure have yet to act with regards to this mirror, as they both believe that there is insufficient evidence of its concrete existence to spare manpower over searching for it, while also believing that the less they act, the less others will know, thereby keeping the artifact safe. However, in recent years, a Senju going by the name of Taisuke has managed to unearth information about said artifact, and has gathered a group of six people who similarly hunger for the power of said mirror. The group initially goes by the name Naraku, and has since then managed to amass a sizeable number of ninja, up to the dozens, who all operate in secrecy and have managed to avoid detection by the Five Great Villages.

  
Hagoromo's Mirror

Hagoromo’s Mirror has been misunderstood by many over the years to be a small mirror that the Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki himself, carried with him in his battles. It was actually a horizontal platform made of a special material that Hagoromo himself crafted. It is located above a cylindrical rock, located on a small island between the Land of Fire and the Land of Water.  Hagoromo's Mirror: Location of the mirror: The Mirror has been rumoured to do many things. Those who believe the mirror to be a handheld one have believed that the person looking into it can be reborn into the Sage of Six Paths himself in his prime, right when he and his brother had prepared to fight the Juubi. Such is the most famous of claims, at least by the very few who know of its existence. However, in truth, the mirror is used differently. Five are needed to properly use the mirror. On the horizontal platform, four ninja have to be standing at the four cardinal directions, north, west, south, east. The last individual will need to be standing at the center of the platform. When the Sun’s rays shine down onto said platform, the four ninja will have to feed their chakra into the platform while the fifth will have to remain on said platform for an extended period of time. In truth, however, the act of feeding their chakra into this platform will kill them, as enormous amounts of chakra are needed. When it is done, the platform will turn reflective, which is where the term ‘Mirror’ originated from. The person standing on said platform will then speak to the ghost of the Sage of Six Paths, before he will gain an insurmountable amount of knowledge regarding the world of chakra, including: knowledge and usage of the five elements; the ability to implant the image of the Rinnegan unto the moon while gaining all its abilities, and an extremely large surge of chakra in addition to that provided by the four sacrifices. The entire process takes up to ten minutes as soon as it begins, i.e. at noon. Afterwards, the platform will lose its reflective properties and likely need to charge up for several more centuries before it can be used once more. Over time, however, inhabitants of the world who have fled the violence of ninja and settled on said island have turned said ‘mirror’ into a sundial, inserting a nodus above the mirror. They have also built a wall surrounding their village, which connects to the cylindrical rock. However, over time, the village has since died out, and no one but a farmer and his two daughters live in the village. The Uchiha and Senju were slightly privy to this information, which is explanatory as to why Konoha has access to such dangerous information. An old man in Kirigakure, who is a descendant of someone who has once seen the mirror in action, is the cause of Kiri’s knowledge of said artifact. However, both Konoha and Kiri, as well as their sources of information, believe said mirror to be handheld, and that it turns the user into the Sage himself.

 
Taisuke Senju

Taisuke Senju is the son of  a councilman in Konoha. He was brought up against the ideals of the Senju, instead believing that power was everything. Having never known his mother, however, his only family had been his father and his brother.. As such, he clashed with his father on many accounts, and was even scorned by the village for the first few days that they realised there was an individual such as himself, before they forgot about him due to other events taking place. Being the son of a councilman, he has overheard many stories of the village’s underground activities, including the Hagoromo Mirror on one occasion. During the reign of the 14th Hokage, eighteen-year-old Takeshi Uzumaki, he overheard his father speaking of Hao Uchiha’s death. He then clashed with his father over Hao’s strength, with him believing that it was a pity such a powerful man was now history. This small argument led to a clash between him against his father and brother. In the resulting battle, he slew his brother and badly injured his father, causing him to fall into a coma, before faking his own death in a fire. He has since then left Konoha and gathered a group of six people to form Naraku. It has since expanded to accommodate dozens of ninja, all of whom have managed to remain inconspicuous. Some of these ninja are wanderers, others are missing-nin, and the rest make up parts of the Five Great Ninja Villages, with the only village free of having active Naraku members in their administration being Sunagakure. Taisuke has two friends not in Naraku but helping him search for Hagoromo’s Mirror, Yasuhiko Uzumaki (M) and Mitsuko Uchiha (F). Together with the two of them, he heads another group, called Usu, which is an acronym for Uchiha-Senju-Uzumaki (taken from Harue’s plot), comprising only Uchiha, Senju, or Uzumaki not related to any one village. This group also operates in secret.

     
Yasuhiko Uzumaki and Mitsuko Uchiha

Yasuhiko and Mitsuko are two people Taisuke met during his travels with similar views of the Sage of Six Paths. Where Taisuke wants to find Hagoromo’s Mirror, Yasuhiko wants to revive the Sage of Six Paths himself in true fashion, while Mitsuko wishes simply for Ninshu to be spread once more in place of Ninjutsu. Yasuhiko has the Hagoromo Glass, which was once part of a larger artifact belonging to Hagoromo himself, which he uses to distract pursuers of Hagoromo’s Mirror, either drawing their attention away from the actual hunt or from Naraku. Mitsuko, however, acts as the brains behind their operations, with foremost knowledge on anything related to the Sage of Six Paths. Together they are the de facto leaders of Usu in Taisuke’s absence, whose aim is to revive the Sage of Six Paths. However, due to the complexity of the nature of revival, they first plan to revive Hao Uchiha.

What the villages know:

• Konohagakure
  Konohagakure is aware of the artifact’s existence as well as the location of the library which holds information on it. However, they are unaware that the mirror is located so close to the location of the mirror, just on the next island. In the village, however, very little conclusive evidence of its existence exists, with only various first hand experiences written in scrolls and books that don’t seem particularly reliable.

  The Naraku defector has been trying to gain momentum for his cause to stop Hagoromo’s Mirror from being used. However, the ninja he met in a tavern in Sunagakure dismissed his claims, causing him to leave the village. This is how rumour began to spread in Sunagakure regarding the mirror. Of all the villages, they are the least informed.
  
  
• Iwagakure
  Much like Sunagakure, rumours have spread to the village about the mirror and have stirred up treasure hunters and artifact seekers alike. Hidden deep within the village, specifically in the Tsuchikage’s library (assuming he hasn’t read the entire library; if so it will be in another location) there exists a single scroll written by Yasuhiko Uzumaki about meeting two companions and wanting to find an artifact known as Hagoromo’s Mirror to bring about a new era to the Shinobi World. However, due to its vague references to Hao Uchiha, the exact date of the letter has been disputed as years past.

• Kirigakure
  Kirigakure has folktales of the Mirror’s capabilities and its possible locations (all of which are false) from the accounts of an old man who lives outside the village. They are, however, aware of the library. The old man has accounts of how the mirror was once nearly used to destroy Konohagakure shortly after the village was founded, though his word-for-word recount of the event makes it doubtful that he has seen it, as it seems something like a recital from a script.

• Kumogakure
  Kumogakure used to have no information whatsoever in terms of available information. However, it is the birthplace of Mitsuko Uchiha, and there exists a single scroll written by Mitsuko’s mother, Mihoko Uchiha, detailing possible artifacts of the Sage of Six Paths.

Here's a real old site plot I'd been working on in late 2013. It was never finished though.

The Premise

Rumours of an ancient artifact that predates the world of shinobi, known simply as "Hagoromo's Mirror", have begun to spread throughout the countries. Many disregard this rumour to be nonsense, nothing more than somebody looking to cause a stir... but perhaps there might just be some truth to it.

In simpler terms, this is meant to be an arms race type quest-line, with multiple villages and peoples searching for this artifact either for their own gain or to prevent it from falling into the "wrong hands".

Detailed Explanation

Hagoromo's Mirror is an ancient artifact from the era of the Rikudo Sennin of the same name. Most documentation on the artifact had been lost or more mysteriously, destroyed, though some information has sustained the tests of time. Old books and crumbling scrolls tell of a mirror, manifested by the chakra of the Rikudo Sennin. There is little to no factual data on what the mirror does. Rumours speculate that looking into the eyes of their own reflection in the mirror will reflect the Rikudo Sennin's chakra into them, thus granting unimaginable power.

What the villages know:

-Konohagakure
Konohagakure is aware of the artifact's existance and of the location of the library that holds information on it. They know that the library resides on an island on the border of the Fire Country and Water Country. In the village itself, however, very little conclusive evidence of its existance exist; only various first hand experiences written in scrolls and books that don't seem particularly reliable.

-Sunagakure
Rumours have spread to Sunagakure about the artifact and stirred up some of the more overzealous treasure and artifact hunters, but the village as a unit has no conclusive information on it. Of all the villages, they are the least informed.

-Iwagakure
Much like Sunagakure, rumours have spread to the village about the mirror and have stirred up treasure hunters and artifact seekers alike. However, hidden deep within the bowels of the village, there exists a single scroll that recounts a first-hand experience with the mirror. The ancient parchment seems to verify the notion that the mirror has some kind of power bestowing abilities.

-Kirigakure
Similar to Konohagakure, Kirigakure is the only other shinobi village aware of the location of the library that lays at the edge of its own border. Tomes and scrolls found deep within the oldest libraries and archives depict recounts of how the mirror was once nearly used to destroy Konohagakure shortly after the village was founded.

-Kumogakure
Kumogakure is much more like Iwagakure in terms of available information. Various forgotten scrolls and books found deep within the village's oldest and most private archives tell varying and notably inconclusive tales about the mirror. Some say that looking directly into the eyes of your reflection in the mirror would turn you into the reincarnation of the Rikudo Sennin, while others simply say that it will grant them "unimaginable powers".

What the villages don't know:

A group of six powerful treasure hunters, who call themselves "buttholes to be names later", are also looking for the mirror -- and i haven't finished writing this yet.

Here is a plot that I just came up with.


A meteor crashed down somewhere in between the villages during midnight. This caused some kind of shock wave to appear, which caused the earth to rumble across all the villages. Nobody knows what exactly caused this meteor to appear. The shockwave caused no further damage, but since the event, some people felt a bit sick.

What they didn't know is that a mysterious jutsu caused a group of missing nin called The Origin from about 2000 years in the future managed to summon themselves to our world, looking to overthrow all current villages and take control over the world, ripping apart society as we know it.

The missing nin from this group barely have anything special about them but 1 thing: They all possess doujutsu that resemble the sharingan.

The leader of the clan has a mystical eye that gives him the ability to completely control anyone that looks him in the eyes. He wields a mysterious looking Katana that is able to cut through anything without a problem. This person can summon or desummon this Katana whenever he wants. He is able to reach people up to seven meters away from him with his katana using some mysterious kind of jutsu that somehow seems to cause tears in this dimension.

Another one of the members of this mysterious group possesses an eye that allows him to read what others are thinking in an area of 20 meters. The owner of this eye is a psychotic killer who wields two daggers, which seem to have the same ability as the Katana the leader of this clan owned.

Among the clan are a few others that possess similar abilities, forming a group of eleven mysterious shinobi that plan on destroying the current system of villages. Their true goals are unknown to everyone but themselves, and they aren't the most talkative persons.


All the villages want to capture them to learn about their abilities, as their powers could be game-changers during any future war. One could argue however that all villages would need to work together to stop this mysterious clan.

Why not make the Kage's Summit detailed in the manga into a festival mini-plot arc for Saga, which would provide a platform for interaction and relationship development between characters that would otherwise struggle to do so and maybe add a competitive element (Perhaps winter games themed like some have mentioned in the CBox) to give the event some depth and multiple directions for participants to take. o.o;

This actually sounds like a great idea.
Ofcourse we would need somebody/a group of people who try to ruin it and a motivation for all the villages to work together, but I really like the idea.

The plan was for them to be from all over. Different villages and stuff. Player characters could've joined them as well.

If anyone's interested in seasonally based village events, I have those. Written and ready to go, they'd just need adjusting to the event system here, and clearance for the bosses to have elements that don't exactly exist yet here.

EX: In the weeks before the monsoon rains hit the coastal lands, they have to deal with seasonal wildfires; however the wildfires themselves aren't started by humans/dry lightning/etc; they're the result of chakra beasts 'falling stars' (think Calcifer from Howl's Moving Castle and the scene in Howl's Garden) which spark the forests and plains.

At the same time, deeper inland near the mountains, you have sudden upticks in landslides and mud flows; which are a direct result of the migration of mud-based chakra beasts through the area. In general, neither group is 'hostile', however for whatever reason something always sets off one or two of the beasts and they end up rampaging across the regions, so local ninja are dispatched to handle them. Outsiders are called in to supplement the local forces, which opens up chances for interaction and plot between everyone that responds to the calls for help; and gives villages a chance to work together without it being some world ending event. And given these would be set up as repeating/yearly seasonal events, it would be something to look forward to.

Example of a Boss:

This would be a good one for outside of Iwa or the base of the mountains of Kumo.

Wildfire Beast Boss:

This would be the boss for the wildfires obviously; it would be in Konoha/the wild coasts/etc.


I have beasts that can fit everywhere, with event missions to build the story up into proper events written and ready to go. They're calibrated to be run over the course of one to two months for the entire event from start to boss; so they'd run long enough to be fun, without dragging into forever.

I've mashed my idea with Kris'. Though now that I look at it, Kris' plot made up the backbone of my work haha.
