Elements: Suiton [Must be primary element]
Specialization: Ninjutsu
Location: Kirigakure no Sato
Clan History: /
Kekkei Genkai Description: Members of the Hōzuki clan are able to use the Hydrification Technique, which allows a Hōzuki member to turn their entire body into a liquid state. In this state they cannot take physical damage, can pass through cracks or holes in a wall, and set up surprise attacks in or around water with astounding results. In addition this Technique is the founding technique for several other techniques the clan is capable of using including Water Gun Technique and Water Release: Great Water Arm Technique.
Drawbacks: As members of the Hōzuki clan are so aligned with water that they can themselves turn into pure water, they must remain hydrated at all times. Hōzuki clan members have a hydration count, which they must keep track of like chakra. Each Hōzuki has a hydration score of 15 at Genin, gaining 5 more with every other rank-up. (Sp. Jounin and S-rank)
Use of clan techniques [not general Suiton techniques] will dehydrate the members of this clan, causing them to require re-hydration. The amount of dehydration delivered by these Hōzuki clan moves are specified in their descriptions, and any custom Hōzuki clan moves must specify this info. Hōzuki clan members can rehydrate by drinking from a water bottle [must be apped as an E-rank item] which restores 2 hydration points per post. When completely submerged in water, a Hōzuki will regain 5 hydration points a post. This cannot be a superficial brief dunk, they must remained submerged for the majority of the post. When a Hōzuki is dehydrated [5 or fewer hydration points] they will become unable to use Hydration techniques or Suiton techniques. In addition they will become lethargic and their speed/strength will be reduced by a tier until this is rectified.
Members of the Hōzuki clan cannot have Raiton or Katon elemental chakra. In addition, Hōzuki clan members take +1 damage from Raiton based attacks. If hit by any Raiton based attack of one rank lower than their rank or higher, they will be completely paralyzed for a post, collapsing down into a semi-liquid state. [This means, for example, a Sannin [S rank], when hit by a B rank or higher Raiton technique, will be paralyzed.]
Kekkei Genkai Jutsu:
- Hydrification Technique:
- Name: Hydrification Technique {水化の術 ~ Suika no Jutsu}
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: Scaled, equal to or less than Ninja Rank (E-A)
Type: Defensive/Supplementary
Element: Suiton
Range: Self
Specialty: Hōzuki Clan Member
Duration: Varies, see below. -5/-10 per post.
Cooldown: None
Description: The Hydrification Technique is the Hōzuki Clan’s Kekkei Genkai Technique. This Jutsu allows for the Hōzuki Clan member to liquefy not only their physical form but the clothing, armor and weapons on his or her person. This technique is completed with no hand signs and is only able to be accomplished because of the Hōzuki Clan’s close relationship with the Suiton element. The individual member of the clan can, quite literally, change his or her entire physical composition into a gelatin-like liquid. In this state, the Hōzuki Clan member is capable of slipping through the smallest of cracks in walls, traversing normally-blocked areas with ease.
This technique is also the baseline required Jutsu of ALL other clan Jutsu, such as the Water Gun or Great Water Arm Techniques. The amount of liquification, and therefore the hydration/chakra cost is dependent on the rank of the technique used. All liquification effects do not have to apply to drawn weapons such as a katana the shinobi may be wielding to fight with. The rank of Hydrification the shinobi can use is equal to their shinobi rank, not the rank of jutsu they can use; they can use any rank of Hydrification below their rank, however. When liquified, all basic physical attacks will pass through the enemy harmlessly.
E Rank: When used at this rank, the user can liquify tiny amounts of their body, roughly the size of the index finger, as well as incredibly simple things to liquify, namely their hair and fingernails. Costs 1 hydrification point per post used. This level of liquification can be maintained indefinitely without additional chakra usage.
D Rank: When used at this rank, the user can liquify a surface area roughly the size of their forearm, as well as any armour or equipment that covers that area. This costs 4 hydrification points. This level of liquification cannot be maintained for longer than a post at equal rank, but can be maintained at C-rank and above for 5 chakra every other post and 2 hydration points per post.
C Rank: When used at this rank, the user can liquify a surface area roughly the size of an arm or leg, as well as any armour or equipment that covers that area. This costs 5 hydrification points. This level of liquification cannot be maintained for longer than a post at equal rank, but can be maintained at C-rank and above for 5 chakra every other post and 4 hydration points per post.
B Rank: When used at this rank, the user can liquify a large amount of their body, such as their torso into liquid, as well as any armour or equipment that covers that area. This costs 6 hydrification points and 10 chakra. This level of liquification cannot be maintained for longer than a post at equal rank, but can be maintained at C-rank and above for 5 chakra every post and 5 hydration points per post.
A Rank: When used at this rank, the entire physical composition of the Hozuki, as well as any armour and equipment they may be wearing will turn into liquid. This costs 8 hydration points and 10 chakra. This level of liquification can be maintained, at an additional 5 hydrification points and 10 chakra a post.
However, this technique is not without its drawbacks. For starters, if a Raiton attack hits a liquified part of the Hozuki, it will deal +2 damage instead of +1. In addition, the paralyzing effect mentioned within the Hozuki drawbacks changes from one rank lower to two ranks lower. In addition, while damage does not increase from what it would normally deal, as water is not vulnerable to fire, if a fire attack hits a liquified portion of the Hozuki's body they will be dehydrated in relation to the rank of the fire technique [D Rank: 4 points C Rank: 5 points B Rank: 6 points A Rank: 7 points S Rank: 10 points SS Rank: 15 points]

- Water Release Great Water Arm Technique:
- Name: Water Release: Great Water Arm Technique (Suiton: Gōsuiwan no Jutsu ~ 水遁・豪水腕の術)
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Element: Suiton
Range: N/A
Specialty: Taijutsu or Bukijutsu (Hozuki Only)
Duration: Maintainable
Cooldown: 5 posts
Description: This technique exploits the Hozuki's water based bodies, by liquifying the muscle mass of an arm and then reforming it, the user artifically inflates their muscle mass by flooding it with chakra infused water. This is not permanent, however, once the Hozuki stops feeding the fake muscle mass with chakra, it will turn back into water and be reasorbed into the user's system. For the duration of the technique, the user's arm in question will gain +2 tiers to strength, and therefore damage dealt with physical blows and sword swings. This is maintainable by a cost of 10 chakra per post and 1 Hyrdrification point per post after activation. Initial activation costs 20 chakra and 5 Hydration points.

- Water Release Water Gun Technique:
- Name: Water Release: Water Gun Technique (Suiton: Mizudeppō no Jutsu ~ 水遁・水鉄砲の術)
Canon/Custom: Canon
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Element: Suiton
Range: 40m
Specialty: Ninjutsu (Hozuki Only)
Duration: 1 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description: This technique is the infamous "kill shot" technique of the Hozuki clan, as members of this clan often use it for point-blank lethal strikes. To perform this technique, the Hozuki must spend a post compressing a large amount of water into a tiny drop inside one of their index fingers. They then fire this droplet like a bullet towards the intended target at 50m/s, causing penetration damage of at least 4 inches. This technique can kill if it hits a major organ. This costs 30 chakra and 5 hydration points. The water droplet cannot be held in the fingertip for a prolonged period of time, and as such must be fired or reabsorbed into the system [if reabsorbed, chakra cost of 10 instead of the typical 25 chakra, and no hydration cost]
