Clan History: The Chikyūtatchi were among the very first clans to accept the way of the ninja arts during the establishing times of the Shinobi. Their roots originate in the Land Of Earth, where they once thrived as a native people. Primitive and ritualistic, the Chikyūtatchi had their own way about them, the way of the earth. Their traditional beliefs aligned with a benevolent environmental outlook, believing themselves to be the chosen guardians of the very earth itself. Protecting their lands and keeping their soils fertile was of utmost importance, so much so, that this sacred belief trumped even the care and protection of their own kin and tribesman.
Over the early years of the shinobi, many ninja attacked the grossly native Chikyūtatchi, utilizing ninjutsu to overcome their spears and arrows to beat them into submission and seize their most coveted lands. In desperation, the remaining Chikyūtatchi sought the mercy of a nameless ninja that proved to express sympathy in their plight. In exchange for safe passage and navigation through the Land of Earth, this nameless ninja agreed to teach them the ability of their enemy, ninjutsu. It proved poetic how the Chikyūtatchi gravitated towards the doton nature, coincidentally affirming their belief as guardians of the earth.
Their essence with doton natured ninjutsu manifested with an emphasis in defense as their attacks with the element proved dull, where as their utilization of it towards defense proved durable beyond expectation. After decades of passing along the knowledge of ninjutsu throughout the tribe, the Chikyūtatchi managed to salvage and protect the small remainder of their lands. After their success, the surviving elders of the clan decreed it their responsibility to protect their immediate lands with this new gift and remain true to their ways.
Kekkei Genkai Description: Those of the Chikyūtatchi Clan have an innate will to protect using the very earth itself. As such, their utilization of doton ninjutsu naturally manifests in an overwhelmingly defensive manner.
- Clan members receive +1 tier to their Strength & Endurance stats.
- Doton ninjutsu techniques that are already defensive in type are naturally augmented to defend up to 2 techniques of a rank higher, 3 techniques of its own rank, or 4 techniques of 1 rank lower. Hybrid techniques Ie. Offensive / Defensive or Defensive / Supplimentary do not recieve increased defensive parameters.
Drawbacks:
- Must take Ninjutsu as a Primary Specialization.
- Must take Doton as a Primary Element.
- May only have a total of two specializations.
- Clan members cannot learn any additional elements.
- Raiton techniques hit the clan member at +1 rank in Damage.
- Offensive Doton techniques hit at -1 rank in damage.

Description: By utilizing their doton nature, the user can infuse the ground beneath them with a surge of chakra (from their hands or feet) to propel one of their doton defenses from one place to another. This can be done without the use of hand seals as long as the user is on the ground. Defenses moved this way, should they impact a person, will not deal damage but rather push them back 10m. The speed at which this is done depends on the rank of this technique:- D-Rank: 5m/s
- C-Rank: 15m/s
- B-Rank: 25m/s
- A-Rank: 35m/s
- S-Rank: 45m/s

Description: This technique is used to augment any of the clan members defensive doton element jutsu in range, effectively converting them into a dense red clay. This clay gives the effected doton techniques an electrical insulating property, countering the raiton advantage against their defense. In addition, any weapons or physical attacks that make contact will sink into the clay and will remain stuck until either it is removed by force or the jutsu the clay is effecting is destroyed. Anyone with a strength of C-0 to C-3 will be able to free from the clay in one post, while anyone with a strength of B-rank or higher can free with ease. This technique requires hand seals.

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals the user will generate enough chakra to simultaneously raise three earthen triangles (10ft tall, 5ft wide) from the ground below at 20m/s, protecting them from all sides, effectively forming a pyramid around the user. This technique can, as an alternative, surface one earthen triangle at a time for a single direction defense in order to delay the remaining triangle(s) below for later usage. If performed this way, the user must pay the maintenance cost each turn for the purpose of up keeping the delay. All earthen triangles take 2 D-rank attacks, or 1 C rank to break and will last until destroyed. However, when two or more triangles are lined up in front of one another they can block 4D, 2C, or 1B rank. The triangles are stationary and do not move from where they arise by normal means. Any C rank raiton jutsu can destroy a wall with ease. - D-Rank: 5m/s
