Godric stood at the gate to the village Hidden in the Clouds, with a sense of awh inside of him "This place is spectacular" he said to himself as he waited in the long line of what he assumed was other visitors to this miraculous village. This was the first of the great villages he had seen, he had planned to visit Sunagakure first but when he had gotten word that the Chuunin exams were taking place in Kumogakure he knew he had to get there to witness it for himself. The air up here was much different than what he was use to so his breathing was rather shallow, but that didn't stop Godric from being filled with excitement as the guard waved him forward for the security check beforehe entered the village.

"What brings you go Kumogakure no Sato young man?" The guard asked barely taking his eyes up from the clipboard in his hand that he must have been using to keep notes on the different visitors to the village, "Are you here to watch the exams?" He asked finally looking up from his clipboard at Godric with a disapproval look in his eyes as if he were sizing Godric up and judging whether he would be a threat while be was in the village, "Yes sir, came to see the fights and maybe learn some stuff while I'm here as well" Godric answered with a smile, the guard simply scoffed at his words returning to his clipboard and writing down something that Godric couldn't make out before saying,"alright enjoy your stay,but be warned that at the first sign of trouble you will have me to deal with, now move along there are still many more that wish entry"

"Well that was a little rude" Godric said under his breath as he walked through the gates and laid his eyes on the village Hidden in the Clouds for the very first time, the sight was amazing and the streets were packed with people all moving in every which way pushing through the crowd would definitely be a challenge to accomplish without someone getting hurt and so Godric stuck to the sideline of the street as he continued on to search for a place to stay for while he was here most of the inns and hotels he came across however were booked and had no room for him to stay in but that didn't bother him, he decided he would go see the sites of the village now and he could search for a place to stay later in the day when the streets wouldn't be so full of people that he couldn't make out the shop signs on the other side of the street.

It wasn't long before he lost himself in the shops, simply window shopping all the malicious items that the village had to offer. Items ranging from ninja items to weapons even simply jewelry, it seemed as if all the shops had there best and most expensive items on display to try to attract the eye of the visiting travelers, and while it was interesting to look at some of the things that were on display Godric knew he would not be buying any of it even if he had the money for it the use of something shiny in battle had little appeal to him. As he continued to wander through the streets of the village it surprised him that there were so many merchants on the main road of the village and there were even more people going from shop to shop some ninja others just civilians the street was packed and it began to make Godric uncomfortable so he decided it would be best to use the roof tops to continue his exploration of the village.

When he got to the roof top he wasn't surprised to see that he wasn't the only one who decided to make the roof tops their way around the village as there were many other ninjas jumping from roof to roof as far as his eyes could see. The view of the village from up on the roof was even more amazing than it was on the ground, he could see almost the whole of the village. As he began darting across the roof tops he did his best to stay out of other people's way, although he did almost ran into a group of ninja that shot up from the ground onto on of the roof tops. "Hey watch it!" Godric called out to the group, there was something off about the group, they all wore long cloaks and their faces were behind animal like masks, one of there looked over at Godric when he called out and he felt an strange feeling in his bones that stopped him from moving, and he just remained where he was watching this group until they had left and he found himself able to move again, "that was weird" Godric said to himself as he tried to shake the strange feeling that one had given him, if he never saw that group again he couldn't help but feel it would be to soon.

Godric shook of the strange feeling that was in the pit of his stomach as he tried to push the group of masked individuals from his thoughts and continue on his journey through the village. As he walked along the roof he looked around at all the places the Great Shinobi Village had to offer, he was glad he got to the village so early in the morning otherwise he might not have been able to see everything in the village. As he past by an arena like area where he saw some ninja sparring witheach other, he made himself a mental note to return there at another time to do some training. After a while he decided it time to get down from the roofs and get a closer look at some of the things that the village had to offer, and so finding a road that didn't have a crowd of people he jumped down and continued walking.

As he continued his journey through the village he saw a large group of people gathered around the gated entrance to a rather large mansion, as he got closer he heard some of the villagers talking about a robbery that occurred last night and as he got closer to the crowd he saw the group of masked individual walking around and talking with people. He saw one of the masked people look in his direction, and he found himself unable to move again as the masked person approached him.

"You there, I don't know you who are you and why are you here?" the masked individual asked Godric. He was unsure what to say but before he could think the words started pouring from his mouth, "I am Godric Fukutsu, I arrived here just this morning and I am just sight seeing when I saw this crowd and came to see what was going on" Godric was not sure why he just blabbed to this unknown masked person but they didn't seem to doubt his answer. "i see so your new to the village well have you seen this, it a priceless heirloom that was stolen from here late last night" the masked man asked holding up a picture of a beautiful emerald necklace, "no I haven't, but I will alert you if I do" Godric quickly answered. With that the man turned and walked back into the crowd, once Godric realized he could move again he took off back into the village putting as much distance between himself and the crowd as he could. "that was the weirdest feeling I've ever had and that guy seemed to believe me" Godric said to himself as he slowed to a walk, not that he was lying to the man, he had blurted out the truth before he even knew what he was saying, the question was why and why the masked man believe the word of a stranger so easily. Could it be that he had been put under some kind of jutsu without even realizing it, if it was a jutsu then it may actually come in handy down the line sometime. Godric thought back to what the man had said about the necklace that was stolen, from the picture he knew he would recognize it if he saw it but the question was would he see it? He didn't know this village or anything else and he was sure that they had half of the village inn looking for it as well, so he did not understand why he was even worrying about it, but he could not get the picture of the necklace out of his head.

Godric walked throughout the village continuing to site see as the day went on visiting sites like the Durian Tree, the Thunder temple, the skyforge where he saw some impressive weaponry, he had a drink at the skybar, he was going to stop by the casino but decided to save that for another day. It was around five o'clock when he finally finished exploring the village, and he almost had forgotten about the crowd and the stolen necklace and then he saw it. It was a few buildings away from where he stood and he had to do a double take to make sure it was what he thought it was, but he was sure that it was the necklace that everyone had been looking for. There was two men staying in the alleyway just four buildings away from where he was, as he started towards the pair, Godric noticed one looked rather paranoid and the other just gave off a creepy vibe that said he did not do honest work. Godric did his best to try to get close without them seeing him so that maybe he could try and hear what it was that they were saying, he could clearly make out the necklace in the paranoid man's hand and he seemed rather aggressive about whatever he was saying to the other man but Godric could not make out what was being said.

Godric got a little closer and was almost within ear shot when he bumped into a trashcan that he didn't see, due to his focus being on the men and the necklace. Both men's head jerked in his direction, when they saw him and noticed his eyes on them the pair took off in different directions, Godric did the first thing that came to his mind and followed the man that had the necklace, leaving the other man for the proper authorities. It wasn't too hard to keep up with the man as he ran through the streets of the village trying to run through the small crowds of people, Godric apologized the best he could as he trailed after the guy pulling out one of his shuriken. Once he had a clear shot he took it, and was able to hit the man in the back of his leg causing him to fall forward. The man didn't stay down long and was back on his feet by the time Godric reached him, taking a quick swing at him, which Godric barely avoided as he dropped into his Guren stance and readied himself for a fight. The man was skilled but thanks to Godric's shuriken he was favoring his left leg making him slow and showing Godric his weakness, focusing all of his attacks towards the man's wounded leg and it didn't take long to take the man down. Once the man was down he plead for Godric to let him go and told Godric about his starving family, and to be honest if this had happened four years ago he might of cared, instead Godric delivered a quick punch to the man's face knocking him out. As he bent down to pick up the necklace from the unconscious man, he felt a flurry of wind followed quickly by the appearance of three of the masked men. "We'll take it from here, thank you for your assistance here is for your trouble" one of them said as he handed Godric a small sack of ryo while the other two grabbed the man and then they were gone as quickly as they appeared. "Yeah your welcome " Godric called out to the air as he kicked the dirt and headed off to find a place to rest for the night.
