Suki sat momentarily atop a fairly low hanging tree branch. There was a bird on the branch above her, and she eyed it watchfully. While not really hungry at the moment, she had eaten birds before, and might decide to catch it and carry it with her if she could. A few stray sunbeams manages to make their way through the thick canopy above for a moment, giving the trees a still more grand appearance. This part of the forest was naturally very thick, which could give some people a hard time. But being a cat, navigating thick forests was an easy task. Her smaller size gave her an advantage in such terrain. That said, for a cat, she was quite imposing. She weighed a full 18 pounds, and was just over 2 feet long from her chest to her but. She was roughly the size of a medium sized dog. That said, she was clearly a cat. Her striking orange fur with black markings helped her blend into some terrain, although perhaps not too much so in a dense forest. However she stuck out no more than a human. Less perhaps considering anyone looking at her would probably mistake her for a wild cat of some kind.
Suki's amber eyes were still locked onto the bird above her while she waited for it to move to a more optimal position. If it did, she would instinctively pounce upon it. If it flew away, no real loss as she wasn't particularly hungry anyway. One might wonder exactly what she was doing in the forest, alone and outside the village. Truth was, She just liked to explore. And being a leaf ninja, she thought she should familiarize herself with the terrain. But she really didn't need an excuse to explore the forest. She was curious, and exploration came naturally to her. Asking why she wanted to explore was like asking a child why they want candy.
Suddenly, in a flurry of movement, the bird took flight. Suki leapt up onto the branch it was on, and gave chase instinctively, before bounding again attempting to snatch it from the air. Needless to say, she failed. But she did get a couple feathers. While in the air she twisted around, and landed on another branch. Her landing was nearly flawless, and she landed on her feet the way most people would expect a cat to. Having a nice tail to aid in balance was a goodly part of it. As she landed, her tail.flicked back and forth as he watched the bird fly off. "Dang...that was close." Despite being a cat, she could speak as flawlessly as any human. She spoke clearly, and was articulate, or so she prefered to think. That said, one would definitely not expect a perfectly human voice to come from a cat. Suki jumped onto a higher branch, and found a stray sunbeam to rest in. She laid down and flicked her tail idly while sunbathing.
