It seemed no matter what she did, she couldn't quite get it right. She understood the processes of Juuken, it was a matter of getting it perfect that bothered her. It was a lot more complicated than most people thought it to be, sending chakra into another person's body. It was a precise thing, and Reiko's eyes were still young enough that she had trouble defining it all perfectly. She was, by no lengths, a prodigy, but she figured with enough practice she'd get it right. After all, between watching the Chuunin Exams, she had all the time in the world. No missions to go on until they were over, for her. Unless something weird happened, but she doubted it would. Maybe she'd even master it before she left! Or, at least get better at it to some degree.
Focused as she was, she didn't quite hear the young genin approaching from behind her until he called out to her, introducing himself right away. Caught off guard, Reiko turned quickly, her stance lowering slightly into a more defensive one. Even if she was here for a peaceful thing, she was never going to be completely comfortable in a foreign village. It wasn't ever completely safe, and that didn't sit quite right with her. She saw it was a young boy, maybe a few years younger than herself, and relaxed slightly. From here though, she could see that he was a Konoha shinobi, which helped her lower her hands just as he spoke again, asking if he could train with her. Train with me? The Hyuga girl paused, worried. Usually, she was avoided when training, mostly because she was too old for the genin around, and too low in rank for those in her actual age group. Luckily, her team treated her with some bit of kindness, which helped change her some from the somewhat lonely being she used to be. Being asked to train set her off guard, and her hands finally dropped completely to her sides, her head tipping over a bit in confusion. This boy seemed to not know much of her, but, if anything, that made her glad. He was simply smiling at her. There was no ugly worry in her gaze, or a look of superiority.
A smile of reply slowly spread on Reiko's face, and the hand by her side lifted once more, waving at the younger boy. "Sure!" she said, her voice taking on a happy tone. Reaching behind her neck, the young girl tightened her forehead protector a bit, ensuring it wouldn't slide off at all. She then ran over, the sash about her waist whipping about as she did so. Sliding to a stop in front of Koonta, she held her hand out, smiling happily. Perhaps, a bit too happily, but she was just happy to have a person around. "Nice to meet you, Kimura," she said. "I'm Reiko, Hyuga Reiko."
It was then she realized that she was being a bit overbearing, she felt a little twinge of fear in her stomach. Had she pushed him away? The thought of her pushing somebody again brought a bit of irritation to her mind, but she tried to push it aside for now. Even if he ran away from her, she needed to stop getting angry at things like that so easily. It wasn't anything she could control. All the same... it seemed she got angry anyway in situations like that. Stop, Reiko. she thought, attempting to push the negative thoughts aside. No use mulling over what a person would do before they had a chance to do it. All it would do was stress her out, so what was the point?
