Chapter One: Broken
Toshiko had a plan for the day. Something that he would have to achieve before the day's end. He awoke that morning to memories of nightmares during the night. Nightmares of that same fateful day that had been haunting him over and over and over. There was no one he could go to. No one that he could talk to. He felt trapped. Completely trapped as the memories of the day repeatedly played in his mind eating away at him until there was absolutely nothing left. His father. His mother. Everyday the child in him would awake, hoping to find them in their room. Everyday he would feel okay just for a little bit. Everyday he would simply forget just for a short period of time that they were both gone. His loving, caring mother was dead, and she was never ever coming back. His father, was out there, on the run someone harming someone else. He didn't know for sure, but he could damn sure infer. He knew that he was going to have to go after him. One day, and one day soon their revelation would begin. He knew it in the back of his mind, and thought that there was nothing that he could do to stop it. No matter what he said or thought, Toshiko was scared simply because he didn't know what to expect. Part of him hoped to find the same old, loving caring father that he had known his whole life, and the realist part of him expected to find a manipulative deceitful man who had lose his morality and sense of reason.
Toshiko simply just didn't know what he was going to do. He was in a strange state at the time. Not fully crossed over to his dreams, but in the void between his dream realm and sleep passing through complete oblivion with nothing populating the area but his conscious. after a few more moments of this, he forced him self awake, and sat up in his bed. That was yet again. His past was affecting his life almost every day now. He wasn't sure that he'd ever be able to forget. Toshiko sat up in bed, and then looked up at the ceiling for a few brief moments taking a bit more time to think. After this, he got up from his bed and stepped onto the floor as he stood. He then walked over to the door, and opened it. After this he would walk down the hallway, and go to his rather large kitchen and made himself a biscuit. He sat down upon his couch, eating it as he sighed. After he finished, he went over to the shower, and took his clothes off before stepping in and cutting on the water. Toshiko stood in the shower, allowing the water to soak his body and his hair and he held his head down staring at the shower floor. It was all too much for him to take at that very moment. Just too much. The thought of it just seemed to cause him physical pain, and there wasn't really much that he could do about it either. It made him scared, but also made him motivated. There was no time for scared. He'd have to give it his all if he wanted to survive. That was it. Toshiko finished up his shower, and put on his ninja gear. He was still a bit moist from the shower, making him a bit cold after stepping out of it. Despite this, he knew that he couldn't just sit around all day. Every day would come with a different challenge to face, a different story to tell. Anything and everything crazy and hectic you could imagine would be going on throughout the various different things that happened in his life. Toshiko had to be ready for all of them no matter what it took. Training, getting stronger, and protecting people were his only priorities in life. he wanted to be the best of the best. He wanted to be a hero. He'd have to get there quickly without being left behind. Toshiko didn't hesitate for another moment. He walked towards his front door, and opened it stepping onto the busy streets of konoha. there were people. People everywhere it was a bit overcrowded and the stores were lined up everywhere. Despite this, things weren't wrong. People were having a bit of fun. He didn't want anything else other than to see people happy. Toshiko gave off a slight smile as he looked at the people, seeing small children running around and playing together. it was a nice change. Sadly, it wouldn't last long. Toshiko nodded to himself, and attempted to make his way towards the forest so he could train. "Hey Toshi Sensei! Wait up!" Toshiko stopped dead in his tracks only running a few feet, and turned around. He looked down, and saw a small child in front of him looking up to him. It was his friend and student, Kamiko. Toshiko had met Kamiko a while back when he was vandalizing buildings by spray painting the walls of buildings all over the village. Toshiko thought he was just a bad kid at first, but he had only done it due to loneliness. His brother was a artist at heart who was sent out on a mission, and died there. To honor his brother, Kamiko started painting his works all over the town so that everyone in the village could see them as that was his brother's dream. He was just attempting to fill the void caused by losing a loved one. Toshiko knew that feeling all too well, and that was probably why him and Kamiko managed to get along so well. Kamiko decided that he wanted to go under the training of Toshiko since he was more skilled, and ever since that day the two would train lightly from time to time as Toshiko would undergo training from His teacher Aethir. Toshiko looked down to kamiko, and smiled at him. "Hey there Kamiko! It's been a bit hasn't it?" Toshiko bent over so he was on Kamiko's level of height, and then ruffled up his hair. Kamiko's cheeks turned red, and he shrugged off Toshiko's hand "Hey quit it with that! I don't need you treating me like a baby you forget that i'm your equal! Just because you're my teacher doesn't mean you get to treat me like that!!!" Toshiko didn't yell back, but simply showed that he was sorry. "You're right You're right. I promise i won't do it again. So what do you wanna do? You up for a little training?" Kamiko seemed to be debating this for a bit, and then finally answered after a bit of waiting. "Sure then no problem. What are you gonna teach me today Toshiko Sensei?" Toshiko wondered about that. He didn't really have anything planned as he wasn't really thinking that he was going to run into Kamiko on this one. There were a few things that he could teach him, but he wasn't sure if that was the best option. Aethir's methods of teaching were effective, but were a bit too advanced for Kamiko seeing that he was still academy level. There was only so much that could be taught to him without him getting seriously hurt or killed. Aethir thought the same thing about Toshiko, but Toshiko ended up saving the day and defeating the animal that he was put up against. Would that be the same deal for Kamiko? Toshiko wanted to believe so. Kamiko was really realyl strong and had a lot of potential, almost more than Toshiko himself. but Toshiko didn't think that it would be worth putting his life at risk for training. He wasn't sure about any of it. Maybe there was a risk there that he could take. Just maybe. He didn't know. It was a great risk that may just cost the boy his life. Toshiko couldn't sit there and ponder it anymore. He had to run it by Kamiko before any others so that's what he was going to do. "Okay then kamiko. I know that last time i offered you this, i ran into that crazy criminal guy and had to try to stop him. but since that's taken care of, i may just have something that you can do just fine. It should be fun, but it could also be deadly. So as of right now, you have exactly two choices. The first one being that you and i can just have a good old fashioned spar, or you can fight this really really powerful animal that i took on. I'll tell it to go easy on you." After Toshiko spoke the final words, Kamiko looked a bit sad. After only a few more moments that sadness turned into sheer rage. "Stop doing that Toshiko sensei! I'm tired of you always treating me like a lesser. You always act like i'm the weakest thing in the world! You don't have to tell anything to go easy on me! I can take it at one hundred percent and still win. If you don't believe that, then i guess i'll just have to find another sensei!" toshiko didn't want that, and he didn't want to make the guy angry either. He simply wanted to make sure that he didn't get hurt. Toshiko saw that, but he wasn't sure if Kamiko did. Toshiko was never going to attempt to be hostile back either. He was just simply going to have to go with the flow and make sure that Kamiko managed to last. "Okay then Kamiko. I'm sorry. You don't have to find another teacher. I just want to make sure that you don't ever get hurt. That's kind of my job as your teacher. While i understand that, i'll just have to suck it up and let you do this. Come on, i'll take you to where it is." Toshiko jumped up to the rooftop and Kamiko simply nodded and jumped up after him, and the two went from roof to roof until reaching the gates. after reaching the gates, Toshiko simply let himself walk off the edge, and skid down the side until he reached the ground. he turned around, and stared up to a hesitant Kamiko who was still at the top level semmingly afraid. "It's okay Kamiko it's easy! "I'm not scared okay! I'm coming down now!!!" Kamiko carefully walked off, and kept his balance skidding down the side and landing on the ground. Toshiko smiled to him approvingly, and then gestured for him to follow as he ran out to the very outskirts of the village. Once they made it there, they were met with land, and then a cliff. It was the same cliff that Toshiko had stumbled upon with aethir. In front of them, there would be a great waterfall making pleasant, peaceful noise as the water reached the river that laid down below. Toshiko sat upon the edge, staring at the wonderful sight that laid before him remembering the day that he first saw it.
"Okay Kamiko. Let's get on with your training. Do you trust me?" "yes. yes i do." Toshiko smiled, and grabbed Kamiko by the shirt collar. He braced himself, and then hopped off of the cliff hurling towards the water down below. Toshiko focused chakra into his feet, and then pushed himself towards the waterfall only a few inches in front of him. His feet collided, and he stuck to it with Kamiko still in his hands. Kamiko looked as though he had just seen a ghost He slowly opened his eyes to see that they were still alive. toshiko skid down, and then walked onto the lake and put Kamiko down on it as well. "WHAT THE HECK TOSHIKO SENSEI!?!?!?" Toshiko said nothing. He didn't even face him. He was looking towards the waterfall. He smiled and pointed towards it so Kamiko would turn to it to see the large sea serpent emerging from the water and letting out a large screech. It stood up completely, gazing towards the pair. It stared at toshiko, slightly nodding to him. Toshiko smiled, and then moved to the side lines. "He wants a training session. Can you show him what you did with me?" The serpent nodded, and screeched once more. It's voice alone seemingly distorted the area, and Kamiko was sure that it was going to give him a run for his money.
"Alright Kamiko. You can prove yourself by winning this fight. My friend here won't be holding back on you i'm sure of that." Toshiko leaned up against the large rock near the bottom of the cliff, and stared towards Kamiko nodding. He was trying to reassure him, as Kamiko seemed to be a bit nervous. Kamiko stared back towards Toshiko, and then nodded to him as well before turning back towards the large sea serpent. "Alright big beast! I'm ready for ya!" Kamiko seemed to be a bit cocky, but despite that Toshiko had faith that he would come out on top. The serpent simply paused for a few moments, and then decided to engage in battle.
The large dragon like creature held it's head directly up facing the clouds, and then opened up it's mouth. condensed chakra started to form in it which converted to a large ball of water. The serpent then shot it's head back towards Kamiko, and quickly fired the large ball of water towards him. Kamiko stood still for a few moments in awe of the large blast, reacting to it at the last second. Kamiko jumped to the side and the large water ball collided with the lake, causing the rebound to strike kamiko and sending him tumbling through the air. Toshiko looked a bit worried for a moment, but Kamiko would redeem himself. Kamiko caught himself in mid air, and then landed on a tree. Using the tree as a launch pad, he jumped towards the large serpent, and kicked it in the face. The serpent fell back upon receiving the attack, and went sinking back into the water.
Kamiko let himself fall back to the ground, landing on the water and using his supernatural walking technique to walk upon it. "Hmph! Is that the best you got Toshiko Sensei! If that's the case then i'll need to fight you next cause that was weak!" Toshiko was a bit shocked that Kamiko had managed to do that. He was way stronger than Toshiko expected him to be. Kamiko smiled to him, and then started walking towards him. Toshiko said nothing in return, simply looked up and smiled as he pointed towards something behind Kamiko. Slowly, Kamiko turned around to see the large sea serpent emerging from the water once more. Kamiko seemed to in shock, but Toshiko had already saw that coming. The beast had done something similar in his fight with them. "You're going to watch out Kamiko. I know you've got a lot in you like me, but still he is pretty strong."
Kamiko looked back to Toshiko for a few brief moments, and then nodded, jumping out back towards the lake. Toshiko thought that the fight was interesting, but he was getting a bit tired of it. "You two may carry on! I will be back to check on your progress in a bit!" After speaking, Toshiko looked towards the water fall that was only a short distance away from their current area. Toshiko ran towards it, and then jumped down, landing on the water below which lead out to a large ocean. It seemed to be pretty dull in all honesty. There was nothing breath taking about the scenery. Despite this, it was beautiful. The ocean was calm and the sun was just beginning to set. Toshiko enjoyed seeing things like that. It made him forget about his past, and anything else that would have been causing him issues. It was one of the few things left that made him openly happy.
Toshiko walked away from the ocean, and towards the moderate sized beach that was just a few inches away. He laid down on the sand, staring off towards the ocean. He sighed loudly, and smiled. He finally felt at peace. He would sit there for what seemed like forever, with a fulfilling feeling throughout his body. "Yup. That was easier than i expected it to be." Toshiko heard the strange voice coming from only a few feet away from Toshiko's current area. He would have ignored it, but his state of peace had completely deteriorated. He figured that he might as well check out what the guy had been doing. Toshiko sighed loudly, and got up to his feet. He started to walk around the corner of the beach, and then he saw him. There was a normal looking man there with short brown hair and wearing all black clothing. There was something a bit strange about him. He had several blue chains connected to a rock, that seemed to be made out of his own chakra.
Toshiko had never seen anything like it before, and it looked like a quite effective technique. The man would continue on manipulating the strings, and then pulled up on them, throwing the large rock up into the sky. After this, he would cross the strings, tightening them and literally crushing the rock into nothing but a array of pebbles. Toshiko was in a bit of shock. He had never seen a usage of chakra like that, nor had he seen anyone with enough strength to crush a boulder to mere rubble. At that moment, Toshiko decided to finally speak up. "Wow sir. You are pretty strong being able to do that." The man looked surprised for a few moments, and seemed to think that Toshiko was a enemy. After a few moments, the hostility was gone and he spoke up with a smile on his face. "Why thank you. I'm Kentaro. Kentaro Uzumaki. Those strings i were using are called chakra strings."
"I'm Toshiko Uzumaki!" "Another Uzumaki hm? Well, i guess i could show you a thing or two about chakra strings if you want."

Toshiko sat upon the edge, staring at the wonderful sight that laid before him remembering the day that he first saw it.
- Memories:
- Toshiko woke up early in the morning in his rather large apartment. He looked around his room, and smiled at what he saw. A picture of him, and his mom upon his dresser. he felt a bit of joy that morning, a pleasant change. Toshiko wasn't just gonna sit there though. He made a promise to himself, his mom, and mostly everyone that he had already met. He was going to become hokage, and for once in his life he was going to make people believe in him. Sitting on his ass wasn't gonna help. He needed to train harder than he ever had in his time as a ninja. Then, Toshiko remembered Aethir. Since that day that they trained in the forest, Toshiko's skills had increased insanely. He was stronger, faster, and he could see and feel things better. At first, he'd need to be looking in the direction of his opponent to counter them, but now he could literally just feel it. Kind of like seeing through his feet and ears. It was strange, but it was one of the skills required to be a great ninja, and definitely required to become hokage. Toshiko got up from his bed, and took a shower. After doing so, he put on his ninja gear, and left his place. He wasn't going to the training grounds, nor the forest. It was time for something different. He was going to venture on to the very outskirts of the village, but with no intents of leaving. Toshiko jogged to the front gates, and jumped up to the top of them. He jumped down the wall, landing on both feet. It stung a bit, but nothing too serious. Toshiko ran towards the forest, and ran all the way to the other side of it. He had never ventured that far out. It felt scary, but exciting. Toshiko loved Konoha, but he had to explore every single inch of the world in front of him before he died. Toshiko left the forest, and eventually came up to a cliff. He could see someone, standing upon the cliff and staring out towards it. There was a waterfall right by it, and then rapid waters at the bottom of the cliff. As Toshiko got closer, he could make out the person to be none other than Aethir. Toshiko smiled once he saw him, and called out to him. "Hey Strawberry Sensei!" Aethir slowly turned around, and seemed to be a bit agitated and annoyed. Was it Toshiko's fault? Toshiko didn't mean to bother him, he just wanted to say hi. After a bit, Aethir seemingly forced a happy face onto himself, and Toshiko could tell but still played along. Aethir greeted him, and then asked him what brought him there. He didn't sound as calm and chill as he usually did. More or so stressed, and out of line. That was strange. What was up with him? Toshiko then felt something strange. A tingling sensation that gave him goosebumps. As if someone was watching him. He turned around, scoping the area. He saw nothing, dismissed the thought, and turned back to Aethir. "Oh i just came out here to train. Not only that, but i got kinda tired of seeing Konoha. I wanted to see something different for a change. The forest and the training grounds have gotten boring. I want to go out and see all the other villages and the rest of the world hopefully. By the way, thanks a lot for that training session. I've gotten a lot stronger since then." After speaking, Toshiko would walk up next to Aethir, and sat down upon the edge of the cliff. He sighed, staring over and basking in the beauty of the scene in front of him. Toshiko looked back to Aethir for a moment, and smiled. Toshiko wanted to feel at peace for just a few moments. He breathed in deeply, and then exhaled. Things for once, were going okay. He was happy. Aethir started to speak, saying that the hokage would get mad if he was venturing off alone this far at that time. Toshiko knew that, but simply dismissed it. "You've gotten stronger since our first encounter, I'm sure." Toshiko remembered during their very first fight, he had been pounded to a pulp. He was going to make sure that wasn't going to happen to him again. Not by aethir, and not by anyone. If a problem ever came his way, he'd be ready for it. Aethir then said that he wanted to see the fruits of Toshiko's training? Toshiko stared at him with a confused look upon his face. "What do you mean Strawberry Sensei? You want to spar again?" "If you've gotten stronger... then this idea of mine should work. That is should!" Toshiko didn't really have that much time to react. Aethir came running towards him full speed, and grabbed Toshiko by his shirt collar as he jumped off of the cliff into the waters below. Toshiko's face literally was flying back almost allowing his eyes and jaw to pop out as he fell down the mountain at great speed and force. Toshiko collided with the water, escaping from Aethir's grasp. The rapid current from the water was pulling him towards the waterfall at great speeds. Toshiko had his way out of this. Quickly He forced chakra into his feet underneath the water, and jumped up, landing on it and standing firmly using his chakra as some sort of gravity oblivious shoes. Toshiko was wet everywhere now, and he stared angrily at Aethir. "STRAWBERRY SENSEI WHAT THE HELL?!?! WE COULD HAVE DIED WHAT"S WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!" Aethir seemed to ignore the cries coming out from Toshiko as he pondered to himself. Toshiko wasn't going to go for that. "HEY I KNOW YOU HEAR ME TALKING TO YOU ANSWER ME!!!" Just as Toshiko spoke, a large fish jumped out of the water attempting to swallow up Aethir. The fish stayed above water, turning it's sight unto Toshiko. Toshiko gulped loudly. The fish then came his way moving around him, and then swam directly towards him. It jumped out of the water, opening it's large mouth and attempting to turn Toshiko into it's next meal. Toshiko barely made it out of the way, jumping to his side as the beast was about to clomp down onto him. The large fish dove back into the water, giving Toshiko a moment to think of what to do next. Damn. A fish? What is it with strawberry sensei and these animals? The fish turned around, and lifted it's large head above the water. Toshiko had a idea, but there was only a slight chance that it would work. He ran across the water, and moved to the very edges of the lake they were on only inches away from the waterfall. Toshiko allowed the fish to get closer to him, and as it did he backed up until the very soles of his feet were hanging off the cliff. The fish was only inches away from him now. The fish jumped out of the water, opening it's mouth wide in a attempt to swallow Toshiko whole. Toshiko smiled, and allowed himself to fall backwards. His feet connected with the start of the waterfall standing sideways upon it. The fish completely missed him, falling off the cliff into the waterfall below Toshiko. Toshiko looked down at it as it fell and he stuck his tongue out. Toshiko then walked back up the waterfall, going back up to the lake on the level that he originally started on. He stared at Aethir with a smug look upon his face. "Alright then Strawberry Sensei. You think you can give me a actual challenge this time?" Toshiko might have spoken just a bit too soon. He turned around and moved back over to the edge leading towards the waterfall. The large fish wasn't done yet. It was fighting the current of the water, and literally forcing it's way back up through the waterfall. Toshiko ran back to the middle of the lake, and the fish made it's way back up to the lake as well. Toshiko was in complete shock. What?...... What am i gonna do? I need to think of something fast. I have to stop this thing, but i can't kill it. I just need to do something that will stop it. I can't knock it out or it's dead, and i can't take it out the water or it dies then too. I've only got one more thing, but it might hurt Strawberry Sensei..... Toshiko had to plan this out, and do it correctly. He had to commence his plan without harming himself or Aethir. He'd have to warn him at the last moment. He had it. The fish started going towards him just as Toshiko expected that he would. Toshiko smirked, and then jumped up into the air just as the fish was about to jump out. The fish followed, and Toshiko focused chakra into his palm in mid air. The chakra converted into a single bolt of lightning surging through his palm. The fish was right next to Toshiko at this time, and he was ready. Toshiko did a flip in the air, and landed a drop kick on the fishes head. The fish was sent flying back down, and landed in the water at the very bottom of the lake. At this time, Toshiko was plummeting back towards the earth with his hand and the lightning bolt held out directly towards the spot where the fish had landed. "Get off the water strawberry sensei!!!" Toshiko shot the beam of lightning out of his palm at full speed, and it landed on the water sending a slight shock wave through anyone or anything in it. The fish took it all the way on, and quickly got scared. It rapidly swam away from the immediate area. Toshiko had fended it off, and smiled. His plan had worked. He looked back towards Aethir, and gave him a nonchalant smile. "Well then strawberry sensei, what else do you have for me?"
Surprisingly, Toshiko had faced the challenge and beat it rather quickly. Last time, it took literally all of his strength and dedication to beat the snail and the centipede, whereas he was completely capable of defeating the fish without breaking a sweat. He smiled when he thought of it. It wasn't just luck or a chance, it meant that he was getting stronger. His skills were increasing at a rapid rate, and that was more than well for him. He needed to face his father, and then become hokage. If he kept growing at this rate, he'd be able to do it in no time. He felt proud of himself, but he couldn't let that go to his head. Not just yet. Aethir made his way towards Toshiko, and answered his question firmly lacking any signs of emotion. "Training's over." Training is over? Already? Hm.....What is he trying to pull? I can't tell. Is he lying so i don't expect what happens next, or has he legitimately not come up with anything else for me to do? I don't know. I know Strawberry sensei. He wouldn't just let me off easy like that......I'll see how this plays out.
Toshiko shrugged, and was just about to move off of the water and head back up the cliff. Just as he did, shadowy figures from underneath the water started to circulate around Toshiko and Aethir. "Stand where you are, completely still..." Toshiko didn't rebuttal, and simply complied standing completely still as his teacher formed a hand seal. Two clones of himself appeared, one upon each side of him. Toshiko stared in complete awe of the technique. Is that....Shadow Clone Jutsu? I've read of it, but i have never seen it up close before. It's like the doppelganger technique that i learned in the academy, but these things are actual physical manifestations. I think i'll have to learn this technique on my own sometime soon. Toshiko analyzed the clones, that literally took on every atom, every single part of the original Aethir and did it correctly. The now three Aethirs started forming chakra, and eventually turned into the technique that Toshiko knew well. It was the same technique that saved his ass more than once. It was the lightning javelin. Toshiko smiled as all three of them started to form it, and then watched as they threw them at the fish in the water. Toshiko jumped up into the air upon the lightning striking the water, and landed feet first upon the side of the cliff.
The fish came up above the water, unconscious. It saddened Toshiko to see the fish like that, but he shrugged it off. Toshiko then watched the fight play out before him, there was a loud rumble that shook the very water underneath Toshiko's feet. Toshiko turned around, but saw nothing. "......What the hell is that?" the large rumble was heard once again, this time a bit closer. Toshiko looked towards the waterfall, and then saw it. There was a large sea serpent, coming up the waterfall and heading towards the lake. "You seeing this Strawberry Sensei?!" Toshiko was a bit shocked at first, but then he smiled, and turned back to Aethir. "Maybe this thing will be some fun! I'm gonna get my real workout in right now!" Toshiko nodded to his teacher, and then ran across the water towards the sea serpent that was now completely on the ground level of Toshiko.
Once it saw him, it gave off a insanely loud screech that shook the very area alone. It had made it abundantly clear that it was strong, and it wasn't something to be messed with. That's why Toshiko wanted to take it on. So he could show everyone else that he wasn't someone to be messed with either. Toshiko smiled at it, and then yelled out to it. "Okay! I'm gonna come at you with all that i got!!!" Toshiko jumped up high into the air, and caused himself to diagonally fall towards the sea serpent as he spun in the air. Toshiko came up with his leg, and kicked the sea serpent in the face. The sea serpent was sent aback, tumbling off of the current level and falling down the waterfall. It didn't stop there. It caught itself after falling down into the sea, and screeched up towards Toshiko as if it were taunting him and gesturing for him to come down. Toshiko didn't wait to comply. He ran off of the lake, and jumped down towards the sea. As he was in the air, the sea serpent started spitting out large waves of water towards Toshiko. Toshiko was hit by all of them, and went flying back towards the waterfall, crashing and hitting his head on a rock and plummeting down into the depths of the ocean.
The hit upon his head had left Toshiko completely incapacitated, leaving him incapable of defending himself for a few moments. .........Wha.......? Slowly, Toshiko realized that he was sinking down, reaching the bottom of the ocean. The sea serpent dove under water, and then rushed towards Toshiko. Toshiko couldn't do anything at all to defend himself. The sea serpent opened up it's mouth, and then bit down on Toshiko catching his chest and arms in it's teeth. Toshiko didn't feel any severe pain, just complete numbness. As if the beast's teeth were coated with a large amount of nova cane. The sea serpent then came back up air level with Toshiko still in it's mouth, and Toshiko began to gasp for air. He had lost all movement and control of his upper and lower torso. The sea serpent then threw it's head back, and hurdled Toshiko from it's mouth back towards the waterfall. Toshiko went flying, thinking that he didn't have much of a chance.
No.....I'm not gonna lose to this thing.....No!!!!! Toshiko willed himself out of the paralysis, landing on the rock underneath the water upon the water fall. He used it as a platform boost, and jumped back towards the sea serpent keeping the same amount of momentum. The sea serpent fired another wave of water towards him, and Toshiko moved to the side as he formed the tiger hand seal. He inhaled, filling his mouth and throat with chakra. Toshiko was right in front of the sea serpent as he exhaled, unleashing the jutsu upon the beast and engulfing it in flames. The beast screeched as all of it's skin was burned off, and it sunk back into the ocean. Toshiko fell towards the ground, landing on top of the water. What had he done? Did he kill it? He really really hoped that he didn't. He didn't even want to hurt it. He felt a pain in his chest as the realization that he could of took the beast's life away came to him, and he eagerly waited for the beast to reappear on the water. It was silent for a bit. Completely silent. Then seemingly out of nowhere, the waves started to move and the beast reappeared on the surface with it's wounds healed. It opened up it's mouth wide, and then it's insanely loud voice erupted onto the area echoing around it.
"You have managed to wound me, the Kyūkyoku no umi no shishi in battle. You are worthy." Toshiko stared at it for a few moments, wondering what it had meant. Then he realized that he had earned it's respect. He nodded, and the beast sunk back down into the water heading into the depths of the ocean. Toshiko sighed, and ran back up the waterfall heading towards Aethir. He smiled, and held the back of his head with both arms. "Well that was pretty fun i guess. How did i do Strawberry Sensei?"
- The bet has been won~:
- This was it. This was Toshiko's big chance. He had finally been sent on a mission. Of course he had done the simple missions before, but this was a actual ninja mission. There had been reports from the shop keeper of a weapon store that there had multiple break ins and burglaries. Toshiko had been called in to solve the issue. Toshiko arrived at the store by nightfall, to be greeted by the store owner. Toshiko knew that this was his first mission, and he wasn't going to screw it up. He had a plan. "Are you the Ninja that are going through with this job? This is what they sent me? A kid?" Toshiko knew he wanted to retaliate by telling this guy off, but he had to make this first real mission of his perfect if he wanted to get anymore of them. "Sir, i'm not a kid. And trust me i'll be more than capable of handling these burglars. I've come up with a plan, and i promise to you that i can put these guys to a stop for good." The store keeper looked at Toshiko strangely for a moment, but then shrugged and went on to pack up his things, and leave. He locked the door behind him, leaving. Toshiko started looking around, taking note of his surroundings. The entire shop was set up into different sections based off of the weapons that were at hand. One side of katana, one for kunai, and so on. Toshiko had to come up with some form of plan before they had managed to get there, and he knew exactly what he was going to do. There was a canister by the wall of kunai that was right next to the door. Tomorrow once night came, Toshiko would use his clone jutsu that he had learned in academy to form clones that would stand at the other side of the shop. Once seen, the burglars would attack and attempt to captivate the clones thinking that they would be real. Once they did that, Toshiko would use that as a distraction and then take them down. He couldn't kill them, so he would simply incapacitate them and turn them in. May not have been the best plan, but if it failed he could always use other methods. He had the plan down, and everything so far seemed good. The burglars wouldn't break in that night, so as of now he wouldn't have anything to worry about. . Toshiko had the plan done, and now he had to rest. He would need every last mound of energy for this mission, and he wasn't going to fail his very first mission. His plan was good enough, and with that he walked out of the shop, and went back to his apartment. After arriving there, he got in his bed and fell asleep. Toshiko woke up as the sun was just going down. He quickly got up, and ran back to the weapon shop. The man was at the door, impatiently waiting for Toshiko to arrive. Once he did, Toshiko was met with a unpleasant welcome. "Why did it take you so long dammit? I've been waiting for hours. Hurry up and get to the store." Toshiko wanted to yell at the man, but he knew that he had to follow orders. He walked into the store, and then looked at his attire. He didn't look like the normal citizen, but this wasn't the attire of a common ninja. He walked into the store, and then attempted to blend in with the other customers. The shop keeper went back to his main stand, and Toshiko awaited for someone to make a move. Nothing happened unusual. Customers got their items, paid for it, and then left. Eventually, night had come. No one had stolen anything. It was about a hour before the store was going to close up, and there were 4 or 5 other customers inside. Out of nowhere, a man came through the door. He was wearing glasses, and a large jacket. Toshiko paid special attention to him as he walked up to the main register. "I'd like to purchase some kunai, and that katana on the wall." The store keeper nodded, and grabbed up 3 kunai and a katana placing them on the counter. The man looked around suspiciously, and then punched the store keeper in the face. The store keeper fell to the ground, and then the man got the katana, placed the kunai in his pocket, and ran out of the front door. Toshiko had his culprit, and wasn't gonna let him get away. Toshiko ran out of the front door as well, running as fast as he could. The man looked behind him. "Shit. It's a ninja!" He quickly took two of the kunai out of his pocket, and threw them directly at Toshiko. Toshiko jumped out of the way of both kunai, and got closer to the man. The man was running out of options fast. There was a corner in front of him, to which he took and turned right. Toshiko was right behind him still on his trail. The man then decided that his only choice was to go for a sneak attack. He slowly down his running a bit, and when Toshiko was right behind him he unsheathed the katana and turned around, slicing Toshiko across the chest. Blood spewed out of the long cut that had been placed upon his chest, and Toshiko jumped back. He grimaced at the stinging pain in his wound. The man then smiled. "If you are the best that the ninja have to offer, then i guess Konoha is worse than i thought!" Toshiko worked through the pain. "You take that back! Konoha is my home, and i'll be damned if scum like you are gonna infest it!" Toshiko then charged the man, and aimed a punch at his chest. The man jumped back, and swung the sword once more. the blade connected with Toshiko's arm, causing blood to spew from the wound. After that, the man then attack Toshiko once more with another blow to the chest. This time, it penetrated his chest. Going 2/4 inches deep inside of his chest, and when the man pulled it out blood started flying out of the wound. Toshiko fell to the ground, and the man smiled. "Heh. You're weak. Garbage like you isn't even worth being killed." The man then sheathed the sword, and walked away. "...............No....." Toshiko tried to stand, but the pain in his chest was causing him too much pain. It stung terribly, and was preventing him from getting up. Well, that was it. He wasn't going to be capable of finishing his mission. He'd failed himself, and his village. "No.......NO!!!" Using his last bits of strength, Toshiko willed himself off the ground. The man then turned around and stared at Toshiko. "I......I'm not going to lose. I'm not going to let you keep stealing from others! That's why i became a ninja. I'm gonna rid the world of all evil! To do that, i have to keep going....... I can't LOSE!!!!" Toshiko held out his hand, and shock waves of electricity flowed through it. Eventually, the shock waves became a full on lightning strike. The man looked off in complete shock of what he was seeing. Toshiko finished charging up his chakra, and then ran right towards the man. The man was so shocked he barely had any time to react. Toshiko but his hand carrying the lightning chakra out, and then pushed it right in the middle of the man's chest. The man took the hit dead on, ad it cut through his skin. After that, it sent a boom wave of chakra through his body, knocking him back a few meters and causing him to fall to the ground incapacitated. The jutsu had knocked him out. Just as that happened. The shop keeper came running down the street towards the two. Toshiko smiled. "I....I got him." With that, he fell to the ground, and passed out due to his blood loss. He awoke in the medical ward, his wounds being tended to. The man had been captured, and convicted thanks so him. He had stopped the thief, and completed his first mission.
