Today was anything but a normal day within Iwagakure no Sato, people was celebrating and dancing within the street, vendors were open and selling their merchandise to the patrons, at the same time prepping for the night rush that will surely come, children were running around, their childish laughter dancing on the cool breeze sweeping through the village, weaving through those who were still setting up for tonight affairs, a small jolly tune being whistled by them. The people of Iwagakure were happy. But why? Why, from the oldest to the youngest, did smile play across their face, eyes shimmering, what they were openly expressing? Happiness. What had happen within Iwagakure to cause such a reaction from the public? The answer was simply, for people spoke about the subject of their happiness openly and without same. A simply query would reveal that the Tsuchi no Kuni had selected a new Tsuchikage after the resignation of Kanetsu Kazu. And this kage was well like by the majority of the populus both civilian and shinobi alike. So, who was the new Tsuchikage? None other then Guanyin Nanashi. . .
At the young age of twenty-four Nanashi had become the leader of Iwagakure's military with him only answering to the Daimyo and the council, the latter meaning little to him for they were only there to either advise or bring address things that needed his immediate attention that was all. The path that he had traveled,to reach this sought-after position, was one without great battle, helping Kirigakure no Sato not being counted, nor of turmoil or guilt that's commonly found in most rendition of a Kage's rise to fame, it lack the dramatic turning points in their personal struggle to the top, and most importantly it lacked the dream of being Kage. A medic and Anbu of Iwagakure, Nanashi never had the dream of becoming Tsuchikage, it was the furthest thing from his mind, and he considered it a foolish dream. Why would he want to rule Iwagakure? The village, while not the most stable or popular of places at time, the leadership was doing a decent job therefore, he felt like the village was in good hands. Apparently not many shared the same sentiment as he did, and bring us to the current situation.
Nanashi looked out the window within the Tsuchikage's tower, watching impassively at the activity going on below, with the afternoon sun shining brightly in the background. The celebration wasn't his idea but the councils and his advisers, seeing it as a perfect opportunity to breathe life back into the dying Will of Stone, and also a way for the Tsuchikage to mingle with the people . . . his people. He couldn't help but to mentally shake his head at their ploy. The celebration wasn't needed, asides from given the village something to look forward to; he didn't need a reason to mingle with those below him, for he does it anyway. But for the sake of the council he allowed it. Turning his attention away from the window at the sound of knocking at the door, his voice echoed clearly and was soothed as silk, beckoning whoever at the door to come in. A woman in her later twenties, short brown hair, dressed in a baby powder blue blouse, white knee-high skirt with nude colored stocks, and a path of matching flats, walked through the door, apologizing for the intrusion and bowing before straighten back up, hands a front of her holding a small stack of papers in their clutches. His secretary, having relieved the previous one from her duties, she having gave birth to kids and wanted to spend more time with them instead of working in the office, he granted her that wish with the knowledge of an always open position for her, if she want to return back to the work force. He noted her, well groomed, fingernails had a clear gloss applied to them, and nodded at this.
"What is it, Maya?" Nanashi asked, the now identified secretary, moving towards his desk and sitting down as she placed the stack of papers on them. A quick look over them revealed that they were mostly mission reports, marriage requests, retirement forms, etc. basically everything that didn't need his immediate attention and could be done tomorrow morning.
"A Mr.Kajiya and company is here to see you." An eyebrow raised at the mentioned of the man who, Nanashi had implanted a pair of byakugans into his socket and regenerated his lost limbs during his stay within Konoha. He thought about the conversation the pair had during that meeting, and remember how sharp and insightful Kajiya was. He thought he would never see the man again, making him wonder why he wanted an audience with him. Did he know that Nanashi was the Tsuchikage, now? Or did he just wanted a meeting with the current Tsuchikage, who just happens to be him? Maybe it was just consequenthe wanted an audience with the Tsuchikage on Nanashi's second day in office.
"Send them in." Nanashi spoke, the secretary closing the door to his office as she left. Nanashi looked towards the corner of the office, signaling to the Anbu that was stationed there to be on alert just in case someone tried to do something stupid. Though the possibility of this is incredibly low. Who would dare to attack a Kage? In their own office, nonetheless. Alas, there are some foolish people in the world and one can never be to carefully in today's time. So, leaning back in his chair, Nanashi waited patiently for Mr.Kajiya and his company to appear.
