[Hi guys! For the sake of momentum for this thread please try to keep your posts at the most between 500-600 words. I'd rather not be waiting for ages for replies. Also, if you take more than a day to post without warning, you'll probably be skipped! <3 Thank you!]
Nuke-nin didn’t get graves. Nousagi had had to keep reminding himself that over the years since his brother’s death, but that didn’t keep himself and his sister from giving Usagi a discreet grave of his own when they couldn’t handle the thought of not having one for their brother. Unofficial. A secret just between the three of them. It was torture for Nousagi that their brother wouldn’t get a grave in the clan plot of the cemetary, but the grave of a traitor was never a lavish affair and Nousagi understood that.
The grave Nousagi and Rini had created for their older brother was incredibly simple. A stone that they had carved his name into with their kunai and one of their brothers bone daggers next to it stabbed into the ground in front of a great tree in the forest, far enough from the edge of the trees that it wouldn’t be discovered by others. It was actually something of a monument to him. Letting him know that they still remembered him, still loved him, and still believed in what they had been taught. Still, it was a grave, and it was enough that they had given him one.
Really, the whole area of wood was filled with makeshift graves that only ones like Nousagi and his sister could see. Bones, weapons. All were signs that there had once been lives there, and each one he passed by, Nousagi gave a nod of respect. Makeshift gravestone after gravestone lined the cemetery, whether created by a loved one or simply a remnant from a shinobi who had abandoned their village.
But, that certainly didn’t make the area gloomy in the slightest for the individual walking through it. The day was bright, the sun shining outside of the dense misty wood, giving the area an almost sparkling quality, and the air was warm against the pale skin of the shinobi who practically floated over the ground as he walked dance-like through the forest holding a rabbit in his arms as he moved to a specific grave stone. He smiled as he saw the stone before perching on the ground in front of it, the rabbit held to his chest before he let it go and it hopped towards the familiar bone. “Hello, Usagi. I brought your rabbit to see you today. He misses you, just like Rini and I. We found him you know, when they brought us back. We went back out to our camp secretly and found them and brought them back with us."
When he finished speaking, the rabbit thumped it’s foot on the ground and shook it's head, floppy ears flying though the air. Nousagi managed a smile as moving to sit against the tree next to his brother’s makeshift grave as he watched the rabbit hop around. Nousagi savored the time that he had there away from his hellish twin brothers, though he did wish Rini could have come with him. He closed his eyes, knowing the rabbit wasn’t going to run away and began to meditate.
