It was a beautiful day out, with the sun somewhere overhead somewhere behind the clouds. It was sure to peek out from behind them at some point, at least for a little bit. The a fore mentioned clouds drifted lazily by to a unnoticeable wind that only made itself know high above in the clouds but not present on the ground level; a very calm day by any account. To Bonreu it seemed like a good day to wander around and explore new places. He had a place in particular in mind for today, but beyond the destination he didn't have anything really set in stone about how the day would hopefully go.

He collected his headband and various projectiles in preparation. He honestly doubted that he would encounter anything hostile in the ruin's halls, at least not in the beginning sections at least. Leaving the encampment of buildings his tribe inhabited he went looking for what others would likely call trouble. Having heard rumors of an ancient city below the waves that had been abandoned in the far past seemed interesting to him. The accompanying tales of monsters and other savage creatures lurking in the depths of it's halls sound like they were easy to handle, avoid them.

Walking through the streets of Kiri he headed to the village proper's limits on his way to a little cave opening he had heard about. The stroll through the city was very uneventful with only two people he knew calling out to him as he passed by. He only let them linger on his mind for a few minutes after waving good bye to them for the time being, before he turn his thoughts back to the plan, or lack there of, at hand. With two possible routes to the sunken halls before him, he aimed for hopefully the easier, and less wet route. On a small island off the coast of the mainland that held kiri proper, was rumored to be a small cave system that lead to either the city, or near by it. It was supposed to be the direct route there, according to rumors. It was considerably more appealing than to just take a boat out to about the area the city was supposed to be, and then just jumping off and swimming down. The pressure from the dive could be a problem, plus finding it in the miniscule amount of light that made it down that far could prove time taxing. Amusing some angry sea monster didn't come along and get a quick brunch in. He would much rather go down via caves than take his chances in the waters.

With an easy wave, and a simple nod to the men stationed at the gate, he mentioned his destination and his hopeful time of return; a cave system that would hopefully only take today to check out. As they noted his destination, rank, and what ever they actually record in their ledgers, he quietly hoped to himself that he would be back by night. His mentor had given Bonreu the day off while he recovered from their recent journey and prep the next step of his teaching. What the actually entailed he had no idea, so he planed to do something exciting while he had to free time to do so.

As was his habit, even before he stepped foot outside the gates he placed a precautionary glyph on his person that would heal him if he was to become injured. Today he decided that he would wear it on his left shoulder, and with a few quick hand signs and a transfer of the glyph to his shoulder he was on his way to what he hoped would be the cave.

Binsu

Binsu

D-rank

Binsu waltzed over towards the village gates, where he’d take is exit out of the village in search  of the underground tunnels leading to the undersea city. Some of his mutual friends had tipped him on the location, and it was there he had arranged a meeting with a black market dealer to sell him a few items he claimed he had on sale, as well as a few rare swords. Binsu being a devoted swordsman and a collector of famous swords and items, his only collection including the sword his brother recovered from the ashes of the burnt down hidden Snow village and passed down to him, knew he had to at least see what the man or woman had in offer. He never questioned his brother about the origin of the blade, not that he had ever a chance to. The only thing Shibirin had said to him during the transfer of the blade was to one day return it to him, the reason why needed to hold onto it in the first place Binsu was unsure of. Ever since that day, Binsu had never stopped searching for his brother. The only clue Shibirin had ever given Binsu, for him to use to later find his whereabouts, was the sword itself. On its hilt, in fine print read ‘the lone wolf found shelter under a leaf ’. At the time when he received the sword, Binsu could not even make out what the small print read, it just looked like a thin scratch against the metal’s surface, almost as small as a strand of hair. The first challenge for the Jounin then was to decipher what the thin line read, a goal he achieved after implanting the stolen eye his brother had left in his possession along with the sword. The challenge now, was to decipher what the riddle was trying to say. He knew once he had learnt what the riddle meant, he’d know where to find his brother.

The man made his way towards the men guarding the gates. Upon arriving there he was stopped for questioning. Although Binsu had with him his static edge sword, his ANBU armor and his modified ANBU mask, he concealed most of his gear under his dark, hooded cloak. All but his mask was concealed under the robe, which made it difficult for people to detect the weapons he hid underneath. ”Hey you, stop right there,” called out one of the guards, as he rose from his seat and slowly walked towards the man. Binsu froze in his tracks, he didn’t want to give any of the men a bad idea about himself. ”Where are you going sir and what rank are you?” Binsu thought hard about the two questions, but didn’t spend too much time on them as if to suggest he didn’t have an answer for either. ”I’m heading to the undersea city, my rank is not for you to know,” Binsu spoke, disguising his real voice as another through the voice-changing mechanism of his ANBU mask. He quickly showed the man what appeared to be his ANBU license card, which had a fake name and different village stated on it. The man skimmed his eyes at the card’s details, then stared into the eyes of the mask for what seemed a little longer than five seconds, before giving Binsu the ‘OK’ to move on, as he remained at the gates and wrote down the liar’s information. Once he got passed the security guards, Binsu took off his mask and slowly made his way towards the undersea city.

The Jounin walked for another mile or so, before taking a rest under the shade of a large oak tree. His endurance hadn’t been as great as it had been once more: after travelling fewer distances, Binsu nowadays found it difficult to continue without resting. He wouldn’t have waited for too long before he could see a figure approaching.
